Spoilers for early chapter 5 of this game, you've been warned! I have a theory that the DLC will be about the 7 founders of the City who were depicted as statues, my main reason is that the "mentor" of the one who wields two greatswords has an eyepatch, leading me to believe that this is Zeke and we'll be able to play as Rex dual-wielding Aegis swords. There's also the statue that looks incredibly similar to Dunban and the other one that looks a lot like Shulk. I'm thinking that the main party will be something like: Original uncloned Noah and Mio, Shulk, Rex, and three other founders who I am unable to properly name.
I'm currently at Chapter 6 so thankfully I could read this lol I completely agree with you; I think Monolith verryyy carefully planted the idea of the DLC being the story of the founders. If we're able to play as older versions of Shulk with the Monado REX, as well as Rex dual-wielding both swords, Dunban, Zeke, Original Noah and Mio, and many others would easily be the best outcome for the DLC in my opinion. Getting to witness what's described in the Memorial Room in the City, depicting Shulk losing his arm, and Rex losing his eye? Being able to watch and playthrough that would be insane,
@@Xsword64 this has kinda fallen apart after beating the game. The problem now is that there is no important enough chracter throughline for 3's cast to go backwards like that. Every "expansion esque" bit of content they have done is to support some part of the main cast (yes I include villains.).
spoilers for 3's ending!! now that i've beaten 3 i dont think the dlc story will happen in aionos at all cuz theres really no point when everything is like 3 never happened by the end, i think it'll be more like future connected, where we'll get a happier conclusion for 3's characters by reuniting them (whether they get their memories back or not) and giving more insight to how the worlds of 1 and 2 have changed since we played through them and any flashbacks or prequel type storylines will be in those worlds rather than one that nobody remembers
@Xsword64 Yeah I’m having a Good Extreme Extraordinary Feeling it’s going to be Final End / Climax All-New Original Story scenario but I feel like that whenever it comes to Xenoblade 3 I always likely to say that Shulk, Pyra & Mythra, Fiora, Rex, Mórag, and both of their Team Party Members from Xenoblade Chronicles 1 and XC2 it’s possibly it might be planned for like a Prequel or Sequel.

My predictions on the new story scenario is that it'll, as about expected, go over how we got from the endings of 1 & 2 and the beginning of 3. Where I differ from your prediction is that while I do think it'll star Shulk & Rex, I also think we'll have Melia, Nia, and even N (the evil looking Noah guy with the Consuls, pre-evil of course) with them too. Probably more returning character too, since the party size is likely 6 or 7; but I've no clue who else could be involved yet. The story will focus on the effective beginning of the Consuls & Queens, and how they got to the point of needing to make clone armies to war with each other. Basically like Torna, but with returning party members.
Yeah I agree with you. The story premise of getting to know the backstory on the Consul and Queens would be super fascinating to learn about, especially if the clone theory is true. (In saying we don’t get the context for all of this in the base game)
