Today's video (like most of them) are perfect examples of typical boat ownership and things that need to be fixed (that most people would have no clue how to do, or they would prefer to hire you). Most people probably think that a mobile marine tech is just turning wrenches on engines - but you give great examples of a million other things that you have to figure out on the fly, and creatively fix, and try to often do in the single visit - with limited time and materials. Always great to watch you work.
Thanks for the sweet video. Trying to do this job one day. Is email the best way to reach you regarding questions? I sent one to you and not sure if it is the right email.
Very clever method to open the hatch with the bent tool. Will you go back to new baitwell hatch cover and attach a gas strut if you can find the right part?
I have worked on them for 20 years but only got halfway thru the school before I started primarily working on Yamaha. I am now back into the Mercury stuff and I am lucky Marine Max is supporting my learning. Good question and thanks 😊
