I've been saying it since I heard we got a team, but we need to put in actual Union Pacific train horns. Bring in that golden spike tie in. If we had actually made a train themed team name I would have loved to hear Crazy Train. That "All Aboard!!!!" And opening riff are stellar.

Hard to say without knowing a team name...but if the team becomes the Yeti....a Star wars Chewbacca sound effect might work. I'm a fan of Zeppelin's Immigrant song. "Come from the land of the ice and snow" being an NFL Vikings fan I hear it often on game days! Love it and it would go with. Yeti mascot! No idea if it's already used in the NHL arenas. What about another local group? Royal Bliss?

I could also see a tie back to Utah using the KIller’s or something. I think the Killers lead singer is really popular in the state.

I found the jazz bears wallet when I was 19. He lived in the same complex that my dad lived in and I found his wallet in the gutter. He hooked me up with a bunch of jazz gear. Awesome guy. I wish I still had all that stuff

Thought of one other song with a local tie-in: “Only Just Begun” by The Moth and the Flame. Music video was filmed in downtown SLC. The intro to the song could be kinda cool!

So what I really want to see is them bring in some veteran guys who have lots of experience to teach the kids what it takes to win at the playoff level. Would love to see Trevor Lewis play a year or two here, I know he is on the tail end of his career but he has won 2 cups and the local connection is a cool thing. As far as Dmen who fit the bill other than Montour you have a few names like Pesce, Zadorov, and Dumba who could call fit pretty well.

“The Used” is another high energy band that has some songs worthy of a goal song. Originally from Orem.

I think if you get outlaws, the song should be a remake of Ghost Rider. I think it would be fun to have everyone sing "yippee i oh, yippee I aye".

Until they get some branding, I like having a Utah-related artist. Post Malone would be fun, but I'm not sure how many of his songs make great goal songs--I think you picked one of the better ones. Maybe On Top of the World by Imagine Dragons too. Panic at the Disco could give some good options too.

After further listening and thinking, Iron Maiden's "Holy Smoke" should be the goal song...

No ties to Utah (that I know of) but I like the goal song of "Dreams" by Van Halen. It would have worked for the old Salt Lake Golden Eagles.

I'd like to see us go after Nikita Zardov of Vancouver.

Hope they do something unique and not just what the VGK and Kraken did as the last 2 expansion teams. They only did Deep tone horns. Kraken was a Ship but still simple.
