if they get him, thats undoubtedly the best transfer window in post-ferguson era. Bruno remains the best signing, but the window overall (including the structure we installed) is hard to beat already, a perfect one if we get ugarte. GGMU
@@CookieDee11 tbh, i wasnt a big fan of signing any one of them. 2 of them been to old in my opinion, i wanted cristiano to come when he went to juve, but after juve i wasnt the biggest fan anymore. sancho i saw potential but the pricetag and expectations that came with it was something that happened many times before, so i wasnt expecting to much.
@@stretfordender11 Zirkzee was Bologna's leading striker last season and the season before that, without injuries, De Ligt was POTY for Bayern. Only Mazraoui didn't play that much. What are you on about?
As a fellow ManUtd fan I can say I hate when they show these ridiculous stats. Consider the league quality and opposition when comparing. He is good but dont hype him up this much and then slam him when his form dips later.
AND they use last season's stats which is a very shallow base .Why not use the last two seasons because it gives you a good sample size the compare? Casemiro will be far ahead. And again quality of league opposition is also good to be factored in.But ,it's a good signing for united so Casemiro can be rotated and also rest Mainoo
I think people are sleeping on United this season. Even with the number of crucial injuries and how terrible they played because of that last season, while they finished 8th, it was still just 3 wins outside the top four. Still a long way behind City of course but when relatively fit, United's squad is a top four squad. The addition of De Ligt in particular adds a whole new dimension. Martinez was essentially De Ligt's replacement at Ajax and you've also got Onana and Mazraoui, that's 4 of the back 5 who played in ten Hag's Ajax system. Players who excel at playing out and crucially, playing through the lines. Then you have Yoro who is lightning quick as an alternative option. All of that is before you factor in Zirkzee (who can rotate with Hojlund or play alongside him) and Ugarte (assuming the deal gets done), the continued rise of Mainoo, Amad starting to show why we took a gamble on him and Garnacho on a mission to emulate Ronaldo. All of a sudden, United look dangerous. Not having to rely on Maguire and Lindelof is a big help. Ten Hag said he couldn't set the team up the Ajax way because he didn't have the players. Well he has the players now. I don't expect United to full Ajax but I expect to see a lot more confidence on the ball, moving the ball between the lines. The crucial factor is fitness. United's injury record last season was awful. That needs to be rectified. If it is, United should be comfortable in the top four. Can they mount a title challenge? I don't think it's beyond them. They suddenly have a world class defence, a vastly improved midfield and more attacking options. Of course it could also go tits up and ten Hag could be gone by Christmas but I think he's been given the tools now to prove himself so let's see what happens.
@@BM-qn6fg No they weren't. They created lost of chances and limited Fulham to a handful of shots (which is a miracle compared to last season). Their finishing should have been better and there was a moment where Andreas fumbled a counter attack (probably thought he was still playing for United lol) but overall it was decent, especially considering United didn't have their full squad ready.
Most Uruguayan players give their all, trust me you, look at Cavani even when he was old, his attacks were really good, we'll look at Valverde,Bantancur at Juventus etc
So if I'm getting you right you using Casemiro's worst season to compare Ugarte. Why not use the season he came . Or are players now signed on a 1season thing . Last season the whole team was poor .
If ugarte signed, i believe man utd will be a top contender of premier league title. Starting like onana, martinez, de ligt, dalot, mazraoui, ugarte, mainoo, bruno, garnacho, amad and hojlund will be excited to watch. GGMU 💪 Dont forget yoro and zirkzee.
same old delusion as with chelsea just names but not a football team with cohesion. And there you are a deluded fan dreaming of a title charge forgetting the minus goal difference the previous season. How are some fans just so foolish. At least manage your expectations. Watch the team play first and see how the players gel together before jumping on your keyboard. you still will be disappointed this season.
Its a bit early to write Casemiro off . He had a few injuries last season and looked over weight ..he was rarely injured at Madrid ..he was brilliant against City and utds best player against fulham he looks a lot leaner and fitter already this season .
We need both ugarte and casemiro...we will have plenty of games to play this season and so we will need to rest casemiro to avoid injuries in some games.we can't have 1 of them cause if 1 is injured suddenly we are poor .moreover in the big games away we can play both casemiro and ugarte so are more compact in the midfield
It's not that crazy, They are both physical leagues, Ligue 1 players have it easier to adapt then a Bundesliga Player to the Prem for example. you can expect similar results from Ugarte @@pc8679
Ugarte definitely looks interesting, but I think the "open gap in midfield" is not something Ugarte fixes, since he's quite prone to being pulled out of position when chasing a ball, as in the PSG-ACM game last season.
Don’t get me wrong ugarte is good, however his stats are of him playing in the French league, if Fred went there he’d probably be putting out good numbers still a risk in the prem, I’d take him for 50 mill but 60 is steep
🔻With Maino & Bruno you have two very technical gifted players who can create and score goals for days. 🔻Ugarte is a ‘dog’ behind them winning every ball possible. 🔻And if you accidentally go pass Ugarte, then with the high line you have to deal with Martinez & De Ligt! 🤯 Man Utd are Back 🔥 🔥 🔥
I think one things the stats don't tell is that he's young and has legs to perform well for over 90 mins. Casemiro is good technically, but he does not have 90 mins left in his legs
We had "empty MF" during opposition transitions is BECAUSE OF SLOW CBs so they fall back in low block with attackers and MFs up top while pressing. The problem was emblematic of Varane and Licha being absent from the lion share of matches due to long-term injury to Licha and small but frequent injuries to Varane. ETH did not want to play low block as (his reasoning) to when the players come back, he wanted continuity of playing further up the pitch during pressing situations.
Undoubtedly it would be incredible sign for ynted I don't really remember last ynited sign somebody who's so aggressive off the ball and can carry the ball confidently 🔥🔥🔥
The league in France and Portugal where Ugarte played is not the same in Spain and England where casemiro played. So cannot be compared. We just hope as a young player he develops into a world class player in Manchester United.
From this, we know that manuel ugarte was more clinical than case. But, the most important think is that the player can link ups with teammates. Honestly, case is tank, and he did many amazing job. But, maybe because of his age, he was not too unified with man utd other players. So, hope ugarte can do it better than case.
All these people who don't understand football think ugarte is better than casemiro. Casemiro struggled last season because Fernandez didn't defend the middle of the pack but was chasing the goalkeeper, leaving casemiro to defend three players, not even ugarte will flourish defending against three players.
@@stephendagbana7603 exactly, most people watch football with empty brains. Bruno is too ambitious with his pass and he doesn't defend, he will flourish under a system where two defensive midfielders with energy playing behind him.
Not just that. We had a huge gap in the midfield because of our defence who couldn't keep a high line. Casemiro definitely has lost some of his ability but he is still a smart midfielder.
You watch this guy's highlight reels & the thing that jumps out is just how good he is at interceptions. So many clips of him reading where the ball is going & already heading there to cut it off when it's in the process of or just before it's been played. High IQ DM.
No forward intelligence like Carrick or Scholes had....or even Rodri has, or a prime Casemiro had. Not the standard United need for such an important position. And certainly not worth anywhere near 60m euros
@theverbalremedy He doesn't need it ffs. His job is literally to win the ball back which he's elite at doing then sit & recycle possession for the ballplayers all around him. I'm sure you know better though than the football men incharge. 🤣🤣
Let’s remember these stats of Ugarte are in Ligue 1. Casemiro was very isolated from his teammates leaving him left 4 dead by opponents in midfield. I like this transfer as it gives Man Utd a different option at the CDM position but don’t be quick to act like he’s anything close to prime Casemiro at Madrid. Let’s wait until he joins and plays a few games before we jump into conclusions. Many a player have been exposed in the PL. Welcome Ugarte but at the end of it all, it’s only provable on the pitch.
Great seeing Flex on here, well deserved, he generally says it as it is 👍 Utd are getting back on track and making all the right moves…….the haters show just that!!!! 😉
Utd fan all my life. We had the glory days throghout the 90s. This team, even with signings we have done will be nowhere near top 2. Aim for top 4 will be our aim. Lets see
Despite the optimism let’s not forget Casemiro is 32 and have done it all way before Ugarte made his debut at Sportin FC… Respect Casemiro, to an extent that United team is also responsible for his poor form last season
Reminds me of a bigger Ander herrera, of all the players that left the club in recent years. Herrera leaving hurt the most. I hope Ugarte brings that same passion and intensity as the mighty maestro once did for us
One question: Has anyone considered Casemiro was widely considered the best defensive midfielder in the world only weeks before joining Man Utd and then coming into this squad (who, let me remind you, has a well documented track record of ruining careers and reputations - say: Ronaldo, Varane, Ronaldo, Sancho, …)? Uncle won 4 UCLs in arguably the most important role of any starting XI; now he’s useless? 😂 Wish he’d stayed at RM and won another 2 UCLs, in a team that IS actually ran properly. In a team that IS properly managed (remember when “rOnAlDo wAs tHe PrObLeM”? Only for him to score 50+ goals the next season to beat Haaland, Messi, Mbappé,…. to the worldwide topscorer title?). 🤫 Erik Ten Hag & his 6+ Ajax transfers and his ego is the problem. Get him out.
you cant compare casa with him by looking last year performance only. last year casa suffer with injury plus he was playing in defence with lindlof and kimbawala and evans. please dont
It is not optimistic to compare Ugarte and casemiro, they incomparable! Casemiro is a player for achieved the apogee and Ugarte is a player who is in build up of achieving that apogee.ugarte is young ,we are waiting slot from him!
Comparision between a player playing in the Farmer's League vs Premier League!!! He struggled in the Champions League last season and was quick to be dropped once found out.
Will not compare ugatre over casemiro yet because the French league is less harder than premier league casemiro is a proven #6 years in Madrid & still doing a good job will wait to see what going on
I'd rather use play Mainoo as an 8. He's too good on the ball to use him as a combative 6 even though he could do a job. Ugarte just needs to give him the ball.
