One way to look at is that Yamaha is saving a ton of money by only having 2 bikes/riders on the grid. That may allow them to offer ALOT more money to a certain rider and may allow them to spend more on R&D. Either way, so long as they don't leave MotoGP, Yamaha, and Honda fot that matter, will be back at the front before long, or at least be capable of it. To us that have been around for a while, we remember when signing to ride a Ducati was considered rider career suicide! Now it's the bike to beat and people say "Ducati Cup Racing" if you told me that a few years ago I would have laughed at ya! It would be great if all the bikes on the grid were capable of winning at any time, but the only way to make that happen is to regulate more and more things, spec tires, spec brakes, spec bla bla bla.... and at that point ya kill what Prototype Racing is really all about or should be in my opinion. We have the AMAZING bikes we have on the street thanks to the innovations that have trickled down from MotoGP. I say "run what ya brung" and let the best bike & rider win. With the kicker being that every 2-4 years or so you must allow all other manufacturers full access to your tech in the way of submitting your machine in it's entirety to all other manufacturers like an old dirt track class. What's your take on a solution?
I was all in with you Danny until the last paragraph. I love Yamaha and have been riding them for years but they definitely have to get back to the drawing board! They were dominant for a while but have fallen behind in the last few. I have faith that they will be back!
some of your information feels outdated, and repetitive,sounds like your trying to "boost" peoples egos by influencing peoples thinking and minds rather than giving genuine real information...update your mind and you will more genuine
