Hey, just wanna let you know that TrueType is also a vector font format. Maybe you are thinking of Microsoft bitmap font format (.fon)? The difference between OpenType and TrueType is: the OG TrueType only supports the simpler "Quadratic Bezier curve"; where a curve only have one control point. PostScript outline is made out of "Cubic Bezier curve", which has 2 control points, and allows for more complex shapes. OpenType supports both PostScript outline and TrueType outline; and supports more features. Nowadays, it's more likely that a file with .TTF extension actually has OpenType layout, but has TrueType outline. I'm just an enthusiast. If I made any errors please feel free to correct me.

AHHH it would literally be a dream come true! 🥳🥳 haha Comic Sans basically blew up when it first came out and people started over-using it in contexts where it didn't match eg: a flower store with comic sans... so it just became a meme for bad graphic design!

I'm a bit of a font fan (casual, though, didn't know the difference between typefaces and fonts) and I'm gonna drop my favorite font here: Atkinson Hyperlegible. I'm a boring square with a boring font, but it's genuinely my favorite because it's designed to be, well, hyperlegible, and I think it looks nice to boot. It's just the most solid "no nonsense" font, to me. It might pose issues for the dyslexic, so OpenDyslexic is on my list of "fonts I quite like" too, but Atkinson Hyperlegible takes first place. ...After those two it's Cantina and every Y2K font I can get my hands on.

Still not clear about the difference between Typefaces and Fonts. Like if I were on Google Docs to select some text and bold it, it becomes a different font?

Yeh so on google docs have it grouped so if you see one with an arrow you can view all the fonts within the typeface like “black, bold, regular, thin, light, etc”. Its basically the “settings”. If you needed to tell someone what font you used you would say “the font in blinker extra light” for eg.
