Ignore the haters. I hope they never have to experience why your binder is so important. I absolutely love your goat binder and I am beyond thankful for you and your wealth of knowledge that you have taken time out of your days that could’ve been spent with your family and your goats getting snuggles, to share your knowledge with all of us. Without you and your goat binder I would lost so many goats. Their are not enough small livestock vets in our area or the ones we have stay so busy they can’t always get to our farms in time if at all. So ignore those that unfortunately will one day end up wishing they had really watched and listened to you as you were only trying to help others. My herd and myself here at RJ’s G.O.A.T Misfits Farm thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Much love and goat cuddles from Tennessee all the way to Montana
New subscriber, I love your videos! I will be getting my first goats this fall and you are my go to goat channel. They are so educational. Thanks so much. 💖
I clicked on the first link and your site is extremely overwhelming to me. I was hoping to find the free book you mentioned because I am trying to research and learn everything I possibly can before getting my first two goats.
I’m so sorry it felt overwhelming. That’s definitely not my intent! But I do want to provide as much info as possible to people. The free resource page will have the PDF sheets for goats. And then I do have the free goat courses you can go through as well. vip.alifeofheritage.com has those resources.
Literally the exact same situation is happening to me we got her when we didn't have a sense up she follows me everywhere and she can't stand being alone and we've only had her for 3 days currently she's been sleeping in our bathroom but we are getting are fence put up now
Had a goat almost 20 minutes before he left our sight as we talked and then heard brakes locking up. The goat and both my Dalmatians were hit by a church van full of kids heading to church……..
Ok. So. Some People aren’t happy with my video 😬🤷🏼♀️ Sorry about that! This free information was just trying to help people raise healthy goats. If you don’t want to hear about My Goat Binder, go to 4:28 of the video. But don’t miss out either: alifeofheritage.krtra.com/t/8pfRVvA5o9Za I’m not ashamed to say that over 5000 people have gotten this book already. And it’s been, literally, a lifesaver. Do you know how many emails I get about sick goats? Let’s not let that be an email from you. You can also read the information on my site: www.alifeofheritage.com/farm-living/before-bringing-home-your-first-goat/ (Reading might save you time) You want goats. I fully and happily support that decision. But I also think it’s important to be prepared. And to know what you need to keep goats healthy and happy. I couldn’t go into all the details about every single topic because the video would be hours and hours long. But I could say, “go watch the video about it on my channel”. So, yeah, if that’s an advertisement, I guess it is but I didn’t know how to do it any other way. If you don’t want to watch this video, just start watching my raising goats playlist and get all the information that way. Truly, I was just trying to be helpful. I did not mean to offend by mentioning My Goat Binder or other videos on my channel or by telling my own getting goats story. And...I hope you get your goats SOON and get all the goat snuggles in as possible!! 🥰🐐🥰
Some people complain if you hang them with a new rope. I liked the idea that you offer multiple videos. That way can focus on information you need, or is relevant. For example, I live in Florida, so dont need as much information on keeping them warm.
What could possibly be wrong with your video? I thought it was great and provided some extremely helpful resources. Please don’t let others discourage you. I appreciated the video and am looking forward to watching all the others you mentioned. God bless you!
@@DelcifromALifeofHeritage Hi there again. I can see the length of the vid once I open the video but I couldn't find the length when I saw your vid when browsing. It seems that a lot of the newer vids don't list the time in the RU-vid browser. Who knows? But thanks for the goat info.
I just got 2 male goats, they are Nigerian Dwarfs. One will eat out of my hand but the other. But they don't let me touch them or give any lovins to them. How do you get them to get there?
When I had my crazy goat, I did put a long leash on her (made sure it was safe so it didn't get caught on anything) and went out and just handled her a lot. Loved on her, brushed her, and milked her. I think the milking was a bonding time for us. With that not being possible for your males, giving them grain on a milking stand or in a special spot, will encourage and help them want to go to that place with you (because they get grain) but if you also brush them and love on them, they'll start to love that too. It just takes time, patience and lots of scratches under their chin 😊 Don't give up! They'll turn the corner and love you!
@@DelcifromALifeofHeritage Thank you so much for the tips, I'm definitely going to give them a try. I'll let you know when things change. 😊 I so appreciate you taking the time to reply to me....you are very sweet!!
I would like a goat « binder » like yours so I can easily add pages to what you’ve already put in there. I don’t want a book and I don’t do E books. Do you sell Goat Binders like yours.
Well, My Goat Binder is a physical book mailed to you and you also get the PDF's to go along with it and a lot of bonus health information that can be printed out and added to it. 😊
It’s very simple. Use the time stamps in the description or pinned comment and go to the section you want to listen to. But there is a ton of FREE resources that I give away too that I mention in at the beginning of this video. So I’ve done my fair share in giving away a lot of free goat information that thousands of people have utilized.
Hi from CT~ quick question... I am adding a baby buck to my heard. Any advice? He will be inside with us for a bit. Should I dust him with DE as a preventive treatment prior to bringing him inside &/or introducing him the my gang?
I guess it wouldn't hurt. I mean, It may not be necessary though if there are no problems to begin with. How exciting for you though! New goats are always the best! :)
Just read the article or follow the time stamps. Or take the FREE goat course I offer in the 25 minute sales pitch. Geez Free information for you to raise goats. That’s all I’m offering.
@@DelcifromALifeofHeritage Don't take it too personal. Nothing wrong with pitching your stuff, free or paid. But if you do, you should rightly expect some criticism or that some people might be turned off by that approach (that's me personally, I don't like sales pitches, and mostly ignore or reject anything that is pitched to me).
You certainly don’t have to buy anything and if you click off this video and don’t use the time stamps or don’t watch any other of the goat videos on this channel…you’re missing out.
Well, YOU may not, but the 1300+ people who have gotten it are quite happy 😊 It’s really important to have good records. And this binder has extensive health info in the back. Many people have saved their sick goat from the symptom tracker and health information in this. 👍🏻💪🏻
@@DelcifromALifeofHeritage you have the wrong title on the video then... look at how all your comments are people being mislead or them ask different things. It's good to keep track. But we are looking for "how many times do they eat?" "What do they eat?" "How big should there pen be?" "How much time can they spend indoors/outdoors?".. etc etc.
@@domsantiago2155 definitely watch the entire video first. And then you definitely need to check out all the other videos on my channel about goats. Everything you listed is there. This video is about what you need ready for your first goat. All the things. The list of all the things you need ready for your first goat. Not “how” all the things. That’s in my other videos. But I’ve found I’ll never make everyone happy. But I’m doing my best to share the info to help people. Want a lot of resources on how to own goats? It’s on this channel. But it’s not a quick stick yourself with a needle and get all the info in 5 minutes. There’s a lot to know. And a lot to share. If you want goats, then it’s going to take a lot of time and study and learning. And when you actually get them, then you’ll realize all you still don’t know. And you’ll keep learning.
Also, I just scrolled through all the comments...all said, “thanks! Great! Helpful! Etc” I’m not sure where you are getting “misled.” This is a list of what you need ready for your first goat. 🤷🏼♀️ and that’s what I gave!
I’ve put the time stamps under the video and in a pinned comment. I’ve done my due diligence in helping people get around the video too. I’ve also provided a lot of free resources and free courses on how to raise goats in that first 6 minutes. So don’t miss those! LOTS of people have gone through them. 😊
Thanks Delci! This is the first video I’ve seen of yours. I’m only 22 but I dream of having a hobby farm with goats and sheep someday! I like to watch videos about how to care for *various* animals to destress and remember what I look forward to in my future! I’m totally subscribing, it looks like you have so many helpful videos that I can learn from! Thanks 😊
PLEASE PEOPLE DO NOT USE THE PREMIER 1 FENCING. IT STRANGLED MY GOAT TO DEATH 4 DAYS AGO. IM DEVASTATED. LET MY SWEET BABY HAZEL SAVE YOUR GOAT. GET REAL FENCING NOT LOOSE FENCING THATS MOVABLE. SHE SUFFERED A HORRIBLE DEATH. I STRUGGLE DAILY TO GET PAST THIS. PLEASE GET RID OF THOSE KINDS OF FENCING. NO ONE EVER WARNED ME.
This is the best video I've seen so far, I'm not planning on owning a few goats for a good few years but I want to start saving, prepping and learning now. Thank you for this
Matthew, thats how I got ready for my goats. I spent a good year and a half reading books, watching videos and planning their goat area. These videos Delci is doing are great.
Thank you so much! My grandparents just bought a house with goats and they are giving them to me! I’ve always loved goats but have no idea how to take care of them other than they’re adorable! So thank you again. 😘🥰😍🐐
I just got my first goaties. Both are Nigerian Dwarf Dairy Goats. I ordered your binder too. Your videos are a huge help. Thank you for putting all the info in an easy reference book.
Just trying to be helpful I’ve given a lot of tools. And a lot of free information, including several free goat courses in the description. 1. You can find the list of time stamps to move around and skip to areas in the video. 2. You can read the information in the link provided under the video in the description. 3. You can move on and find someone who talks less. I’m so glad we have freedom and options in this world. Enjoy those freedoms with all the different options you have here!
Ooo! I thought of another idea. Actually it’s not mine. Stolen from the comments. You have another option too! You can set the speed of the video to double and listen to it in double time! That will save you some time too. 😙
Just found your channel! We are planning to move from the suburbs of California to some acreage soon to escape all the crazy politics here, crowds and high cost of living. I wanted to start a small homestead and include goats, starting very small just 3-5 Nigerians and Nubians. We’ll see where we go from there lol but as basically a city slicker this information is invaluable.. def will be getting that binder soon!!
Delci • A Life of Heritage Haha yes we hadn’t planned to move for a few years but with everything that’s going on we decided to do it a lot sooner and I am very excited! We’ve given some thought to Montana but my husbands SoCal born and bred, I’m not sure how he’d handle a real legit winter lol. I’m hoping to get some registered goats who have good temperaments, conformation and milking ability.. since I’ll be bringing more goats into the world I want to make sure they’ll healthy and sound! This is why we’re starting very slowly :)
That’s an excellent idea! Good quality goats are worth waiting for and working towards! I’m born and raised in Montana and I’m not sure I’m ready to handle cold winters. 😆😩 sometimes they aren’t much fun!
Well, the best thing you can do is do as much research as possible. This video might help you get some ideas to show how you can show that you are responsible and ready to take on the care of goats: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-EPD1SpOA7gc.html Good luck 😊
If you only get one goat you are actually being cruel to the animal. They are a herd animal and need the other animal. If you are planning on getting a goat, plan on getting a minimum of 2.
Thank you for this. My husband came across a great opportunity to get a bunch of free baby goats, and we want to use them as land management animals, I just don't know anything about them, so I found my way here.
Weeeellll...maybe we could establish zones.... house zone and barn zone. So the dogs and cats would be the favorites in the house zone and then the goats would be the favorites in the barn...? Unless, of course, you have barn cats and a guardian dog. Then we do have a problem. 🤔 We could do favorite ruminant animals and favorite felines and favorite canines.... I would hate to damage any animals self-esteem. Participation trophies are helpful too. ♥️
I'm glad you mentioned the hoof clipping I'm looking at everything in thought of getting a goat in the future and I didn't think about that is it hard? Do they kick you? Can they feel it like finger nails or like not at all
I so want goats for our homestead, lived here for 3 years and have chickens cats and farm dogs, I think nits time to move a head and get a few goats...help
Someone either lost or abandoned their goat. Trying to take care of her, and thought about getting another one for a friend. I know very little about taking care of goats. Help!
Just trying to be helpful and giving people WHERE to get the info. Raising goats isn’t always a walk in the park. And I want to help people keep their goats alive and healthy. That’s the purpose of this channel and all the free resources I give out. Go into any goat group on Facebook and you’ll see all the heartache people face on a daily basis raising goats. I can’t keep your goats healthy. But I can give you info to help you raise them well.
Ohmygosh. That white goat is so majestic!! My family is picking up our goats in a few days and I’m so nervous. I can’t wait! We’re also getting a ram. Cant wait!
We are getting two goats from my neighbor. He will be our mentor along with your helpful videos. I have my pen done and a shelter. These little lady’s will just be pets.
You could have a million views if you would just get on with it...honestly 4 minutes and you would have mailbox rolling in. I couldn’t get past the 6 minute mark.
All I can say is read my pinned comment. I’ve already apologized there. I’m still learning how to put videos together and clearly don’t know what I’m doing. But, if you knew my heart, I was just trying to be helpful. 😊
Some people do I think. Goats do need a goat friend because they are a herd animal. And they can be trained a bit. I think the danger in this is that there is more of a potential of not feeding them properly and then they get sick

LOVED THIS VIDEO!!! I was curious, I have a very well trained mountain curr, 6 years old Would they have any issues together or could I allow them to free roam our property together? Will they form a pack?
I'm not familiar with Mountain Currs. Goats can get accustomed to a dog, especially if they are raised from birth with one. My goats weren't raised with dogs and my dogs don't spend time with them, so when the dogs come around, the goats are on high alert.
Hi I’m interested in starting to raise goats, I liked & commented & subscribed. Can I please have info on how to get a binder of the goat life like the one you have please?
Hi Delci, I recently bought some acreage and am preparing for when I have my additional animals. Looking forward to moving so I can get goats, guineas, and chickens! Do you have any tips for keeping them on my property while letting them roam a little in certain areas (so I don’t have to brush cut some areas), but they’ll go back into their enclosed pasture area afterwards? I’m scared they’ll run off or be hard to catch and re-contain in their fenced area. Thanks for all your wisdom and help!
At what time stamp does the helpful info occur, after all of the hyped promo stuff? I'm sure she will get to something useful eventually that imbibes goat wisdom.
Thank you for the presentation I’ve one major concern I’m in East Texas and the rainy seasons are back to back I imagine I’ll need to create a raised paddock area for housing the goats right I just purchased the course as well to study this winter and work on design plans
@@DelcifromALifeofHeritage Thank you. We get the new goats in a few weeks. The woman boarding are surviving buck (Predator got in and killed our doelings in November… including my Christmas goat) had an extra surprise batch of kids and offered us first pick. Currently busy with the task of predator proofing. We caught a husky looking dog in the empty pen several times in the last month. Awaiting the OK from animal control to lay out traps.
(We live on a farm) My cousin got given a goat for free and he gave her me because it was my birthday and he forgot about it so he just gave her to me soooo I’m watching this video
