Excellent subject and good points. At 68, I still follow my bodybuilding routine and try to build as much muscle as possible. For me I've noticed that as I age, my appetite also has changed and I'm just not able to eat the same amount of food (Protein) as I age. Also my digestion has changed. So, force feeling is a NO NO. What I do is make sure that my first meal of the day starts with at least 30 grams of protein. Then I will have two more whole food meals of at least 20 grams of protein. Sometimes at night I will have a protein drink. I'm a big guy at 6'3" 235lbs and my weight doesn't vary. Sometimes it not how much I take in, but what and when I get it. Thanks Eric.

Could you please do one on vitamins and macros. I use to make a shake from yogurt with banana's and berries with cooking coco to have after a workout at the gym. As with a heart condition I can not take health suplerments. I feel it worked for me do you think I was get enough out of this concoction?

Eric - I went to a whey protein powder because I was losing muscle mass in my 70s. After two years my blood work showed declining numbers for kidney and liver problems so I stopped. I now try to get higher amounts of protein through eggs and meat.

Please supply the clinical data to substantiate your advice about the necessity for protein supplementation. There is clinical evidence that is harmful.
