What you need to know about Administrative Processing 

Besides asking to book an appointment for consultation if somebody’s case is stuck in 221g, being a former visa officer you should make a separate video explaining why the visa officer takes so long? What they really check? What means if the status remains same and last date updated? Also if the visa officer asks for any additional paper/documents then why he takes sooooooo long just to check one piece of paper? What is the myth behind the curtain?? And if that paper has been checked then why the visa officer keep it on hold? These are the question need to be explained. Other than that, if somebody needs help he/she will contact your firm. But these point need to be clarified. Thank you

My husband got a 221g for his medical exams as it was not received on time when he had his interview date 12/29/22 (Honduras Embassy) Finally the embassy received this medical exam in January and his passport was requested, we went ahead and submitted his passport that same day. But as of today 4/3/23 the case is showing refused but the last time that the case was reviewed was 03/29/23. IR1 Visa Case . Thank you

Question: do CO’s get a notice on their computers regarding AP and who they put in AP? For example; DS-5535. Who decides if a interviewee will be placed in AP for DS-5535? I just don’t believe that the officer makes decision on the spot. I think U.S security agencies flag potential cases and advice the CO’s to issue a 221g to certain people.

What happens when they tell you your visa is approved and they take your passport but when the time has passed they put your status then in administrative processing? can you clarify this? Our embassey is in a different country from where we live. This is a migrant visa.

I understand that 221g is not final refusal, I also understand AP can take indefinite time but ive already waited 18yrs without my family, may b another 18yrs. Sincerely, deptt of state should prioritise the long awaited applicants compared to fresh applicants. There should b a sense of justice. Anyways, I believe american justice system is the best in the world, just needs some improvements

Guys ask any Argo ex visa officer, why is it taking 6 months or even years on an AP? I think they won't give you accurate answer. But go to the big Guys. immigration lawyer who are 98% get you out of that shit. I know 1 case in AP will never take 6m to years. Once they put you in this status, your like last in line. They will just forget you on the shelves.

I was only issued a pink slip stating it's under A P and as soon as It goes through this process they will send me an Email to judicative something similar to this. THREE months now what to do now.

By email we asked the Consular if they need more documents that's when consular ask my son for court report, my son didn't have it at that time, first because he was not convicted, second he did not have it at the time of interview. My son from Ankara went to Istanbul where he reside more than 17 years ago and got the report. Then by email we asked several times if they need more documents, the answer was no. All of us got a 221 g with two boxes ticked 1) administrative processing (you will be notified if further action is needed) 2) passport(submit via courier) Embassy demanded no documents. My case type is SIV (Special Immigration Visa). so my case is refused for about 57 days and 6 days before I received a call from CARE Team which said that please send me the scanned copies of passports, National ID, Marriage Certificate, and important than all fill out the DS-5535 form online so still I didn’t receive any response from CARE team. Hello, I had interview on end of dec and the interview was good and everything went well. But during the interview, the officer requested to see my resume, which I didn't have with me at the time. The office then gave me a 221G yellow slip with the instructions to submit my resume, the resume of my advisor, and my courses of study, pluse the officer kept my passport. I've seen your videos and know you've worked in China, and i applied f1 viasa from china, but my concern is that I haven't heard back from them yet. Would you mind sharing your thoughts on my case?

Hi I had my interview at Dubai US Embassy on Feb 2023, and received yellow slip with 221g Admin Processing. But they took my original i797 letter and Client letter and returned my passports back. Hello, I checked and my wife’s application says “Ready,” but she already did the interview. The interview went well and she was approved. No refusal or administrative process was said to her. She was told, “your visa is approved.” It has been two weeks now no passport back. I emailed the embassy and I was told the visa application is on administrative process. I’m confused. My 2022 tax transcript was not uploaded on the day of the interview due to technical difficulties. She gave them the 2022 tax transcript and they make a copy.
