What You Need to Know About Maul and The Black Sun Crime Syndicate in Clone Wars (Canon and Legends) 

I remember in Legends when Sidious had Maul take out Black Sun’s prince.

we need all of this in a tv show, cartoon, or film. I feel like this hasn't nearly been expanded upon enough or covered already. The criminal side of star wars is highly underrated as a great story.

As soon as "Crimson Dawn" was mentioned in Solo, I instantly thought "Ok, I knew who is in charge of that." Especially because I am a huge fan of TCW and the red mandalorian armor in the trophy room.

Thanx man for more clear view as for The Shadow Collective with those details. Since I haven't seen the entire Clone Wars series, I didn't know what were those details of an alliance between Pikes and Black sun with Crimson Dawn etc. How Maul organized that alliance.

This is one of the few times Canon and Legends fit together. Maul cripples Black Sun under the orders of Sidious in the Comics. So by the time of Clone Wars. They're powerful again, but not what they once where. But we know from Shadows of the Empire. Xizor is the one who made Black Sun the all encompassing criminal empire. His dealings with The Emperor, the Hutts, the Bothans, the Bounty Hunters Guild and Kud'ar Mub'at the go between. Mean he could rebuild Black Sun in those 20 years.

Star Wars Theory is amazing! I love this channel! The only fictional thing that I actually find almost real! Do you know what I mean? It's almost like Star Wars really happened. There is so much content about it.

I hope that like every pre-Return of the Jedi event and character from the Pre-Republic Era, Old Republic Era, Rise of the Empire/Clone Wars Era and Rebellion Era are brought back into Disney Star Wars. We know Dash Rendar is technically canon based on a Solo: A Star Wars Story journal book as with Xizor in a Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge cookbook that has a salad named after him and the Black Sun Syndicate already exists as seen in Star Wars: The Clone Wars however everything else about the former two including the full extent of their past and history/adventures won't be official in Disney Star Wars unless depicted. Shadows of the Empire really deserves a remake and given that the timeframe is set between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi it would easily Disney Star Wars really well.

Black Sun's introduction in the new canon is pretty cool and I'm hoping we get to see more of them in the era of the galactic civil war. I would love to see the Solo sequel, or whatever movie that serves as a follow up to Solo, explore more of the dynamic between Crimson Dawn and the other crime syndicates Shadow Collective was involved with. A focus on Black Sun in the next movie to contrast with Solo's focus on the Pykes would be pretty cool to see.

The Black Sun existed in the Old Republic time line as well. Heavily centered on Tatooine. In fact, Skadge, a BH companion, was in Black Sun and wears their insignia on his sleeves.

I know you’re Star Wars theory but I got one of my own real quick. think that the siege of Mandolore is Vader’s first attempt to get rid of Ashoka and cut all ties with Anakin Skywalker. So in the beginning of the last Episode of clone wars (S7 E9) Anakin and Obi Wan tell Ashoka that they have to go and rescue the chancellor, but Obi Wan casually throws in that it will take an hour to get there, keep that in mind. So stuff happens, time passes (probably 1-3 hours) and we can assume that by the time Maul confronts Ashoka that Dooku has been killed and events from ROTS are going on regularly. From there is where I start going off the road a bit. We can assume Ashoka gets captured and blah blah blah. We can also assume that she eventually escapes, but not for a few days. By the time she escapes (or the events that allow her to escape) (Rex saving her from clones and maul) that Order 66 has started. We know from the mandolorian that the siege of Mandolore happened in late clone wars and likely was continued into the galactic civil war. I think that the siege of Mandolore is Vader’s first attempt to get rid of Ashoka and cut all ties with Anakin Skywalker. The end. Lemme know Whatchu think, I’m curious

I would love to see a what if video from Episode 2. I was recently rewatching it and thought what if Zam Wesell had killed Obiwan by shooting him stead of the droid he was hanging from? What happens with discovering Fett, the clones, what happens with Padme, it could be a cool series of videos.

Is there a novelization of Palaptine? What a fascinating book that would be - seeing things from his perspective for example, the manipulation of the Jedi order and the rest of the galaxy with regards to the clone war. Timothy Zahn, would have a field day, weaving that super complex web of deception into a three book arc...IMO of course

I know there is not exactly an abundance of pertinent information at this time, but I am curious to know in which canon language "Sugaan Essena" is sung. I know the Hu originally wrote the song in Mongolian, but the finished product is obviously sung in something else. In addition, I would love to know in which languages "Lido Hey", "Bai Tee Tee", and "Aloogahoo" are sung. I am glad that we are finally receiving more of the sound of the GFFA.

I just want to play as Darth Maul in a video game or Savage Opress! Make him the main character, in “his solo story.” Kind of like the Jango Fett game Star Wars Bounty Hunter on ps2. That was a really fun game. A singular story, many different levels and bosses capture/kill. I really feel like Darth Maul had such a unique story but got little screen time in the movies. That’s why years later we are still seeing his story in Clone Wars, in Solo a SW movie & on BF2 game, etc. I haven’t watched all of the clone wars but hopefully I can on D+ this summer... Now lets develop a game we all want to play!!!!!!
