What if each Heat Level on MC didn't increase the ilevel of the gear, but rather, each heat level increases the number of items dropped off each boss?

The dev team clearly abandoned SoD when Cata launched. Its no coincidence that phase 3 was busted from the start and ignored to fix the problems Cata had during the prepatch. Phase 3 dropped and they realized the raid was too hard for 90% of the players so they nerfed it along with the gold from incursions. Then it was weeks before they addressed the loot in ST but by then more than half my server was gone. It appears the team is too small to be handling both versions concurrently. I personally believe they have scrapped a lot of their plans for SoD because they dont have the manpower. You cant convince me that they planned to do an STV event 2 phases in a row. I guarantee they had something else planned but scrapped it because there was no time. If youre going to release a new version of the game then be prepared to go all in. DONT PUSH OUT A HALFASS PRODUCT. Its a slap in the face and makes you look lazy

40 people in a 20man really isn't an issue in a "for fun" version of the game, it will still only drop a 20 man worth of loot so groups will always want to bring the least amount of people possible, but hey if they want to bring 40 to smash it for fun go right ahead it doesn't effect me any, it's just less loot per person.

Thinking about reactivating for SoD, i want to play a rogue, do i have to tank or can i just pew pew dps like i love?

I like the 20 but you can take more as long as there is no extra loot. Then you can always bring the benchwarmers

I always thought they should allow you to bring, say an additional 5 people, to any raid size to allow the less advanced players a little help until they got some gear. This would stop the need for the nerfs all the time. More casual players could see the content and the more advanced wouldn't get nerfed into bordom.

Yeah Onyxia is for 20 people, but if it is too hard for your guild or a pug let’s say, you can bring up to 40 people. More people = easier but more loot competition… this is GOOD, it means you can pug on badly geared alts and it helps casual players get into raids, most likely guilds will have trouble on certain bosses and toss in a couple extra healers or dps and they’ll bring anyone pretty much😊

on SoM +1 Difficulty level gave 1 more item drop

the 20 man tuning and allowing 40 people is to allow for accesability i think. even back in vanilla if you would look at onyxia or multen core realistically you could do them with far less then 40 people, where not even everyone of them would need to be level 60 givem uptimal play. so, if they tune it for 20 people that play really well, but allow for 40 people, 40 midcore gamers could get some decent fun from it. also, this would also fit in with the heath level mechanic where the low level heat level would be easy and doable for 20 man, but the high heat levels would require 40 people who know what the heck they are doing.

Lovin' SoD, especially good for people that cannot play 5+ hours a day anymore.

Onyxia being tuned for 20 people means they just equalized the power level to how it used to be. It was never required to bring 40 people but you could.

Increased Heat level should drop more gear, not better gear. 1 extra drop per Heat level.

Management issue. Devs are giving us the little they can do while also working on cata. It doesn't let a lot of time to figure out more interesting way to do things. Once again , cutting corner everywhere and then wondering why customers are disappointed

my problem is : phase 3 is there too long. everyone has professions maxed out multiple times and materials are ready to be turned in whenever phase 4 launches. especially resistance gear like fire. i have like 25 arcanite bars ready to get sold - and i havent done anything when cata launched. people who were active have like 100 or more on their account. making everything extremely easy. legendary weapons are probably more common then raidloot.

I had fun in all 3 phases so far, too bad the 4th wasnt launched at beginning of June , that would be perfect (for me) . I did Onyxia attunement (until jailbreak) today and the server is dead (EU Firemaw)...... 90% of people are waiting for P4 . I did all raids with guild that speaks our native language, there was a lot of laughing and good times, we had to pug for some healers usually but thats no problem, around the end of P3 we merged with another native language guild so we could clear Sunken Temple as 20 man in the same way. I cant wait for the raids at 60, never played them on the level , always went to grind mogs at higher level so it will be interesting. Id say SoD for me is 7/10 so far, phases take too long unfortunately and raids are challenging only in the 1st week, then they are nerfed so much its not fun anymore, i dont know how stv is now but at beginning due to lagg it was unplayable, they did sort it a bit later on, its still not so fun pvp experiance.

my gulld had over 500 members and could not get 20 people for a guild raid together except 1 time. 10m would be much better for our guild.

SoD was a good try at Phase 1. Then it fell off drastically!! If you like Classic Vanilla WoW and dont wanna play on the main cluster of realms(which is tremendous expensive for new players) try joining the EU-Realm- Zandalar Tribe! Its a Fresh Vanilla experiment. Its not linked with other realms, character transfers are not allowed and there is a Huge momentum right now!! New players join constantly everyday! Its only 1 month since player started joining!! Faction Balance is almost 50/50! Everyone is Welcome! See you there Vanilla enjoyers!

If I spend several hours on hardmode it really hard, and you die several times on bosses and lose a lot of gold? then you as a player want to get something for your efforts! Heat level 2/3 could offer more gold and possibly new 'Exp boost items that you can use on alts or repuations. If it's only cosmetic at heat level 2/3, there's no point in wasting your time on it! Like your boss saying you can work 2 extra hours every day? Do I get paid for it? no but you get a shirt that says you work an extra 2 hours every day? laugh

its pretty much classic minus at this point, phase 1 was great and super fun but then phase 2 was just mediocre, and then phase 3 was so bad me and everyone i knew quit

Why theres no selfe learning function in a high difficulty where bosses learning? Like you are standing always on same Position and the bosses learns this to destroy boring always same RAID Strategies where you are standing always just in same Position.. brainless... that would be sooou awesome 😆😆 intelligent RAID bosses 😆😁

They've basically just made a Vanilla version of retail.

You couldn't pay me to play SoD at this point, it's beyond boring. They need to stop with the vanilla related projects for 10+ years. Definitely here to support the channel though, I'm genuinely excited for the incoming MoP stuff. Didn't play it back in the day and it looks awesome. Cata has been phenomenal too.

I quit in the second phase and deleted the client, I'm sorry I spent on this garbage around 40 hours+ didn't have a bit of fun, for me it was worst wow i ever played, and i played some broken privates.

why play when they are gonna just shut it down after phase 4 im not wasting my time bullshit devs abandone sod for cata to ...shake my head
