you cant use lock and load with chimera+wyvern because trap launcher is in the same slot as wyvern Also for resto druid we cant use insect swarm, dreamstate, or the free wrath+insta cast.

Very false. Retail has features it has amassed from previous expansions (meaning they kept what worked). These SoD features are from those previous expansions not retail....if tomorrow, SoD got dragon riding, then your statement would actually be correct.

that was the splash damage, the actual star itself was hitting 98 non crit. Still not the best, but imagine 20 of them hitting stacked up targets, each splashing for 20. I imagine this damage would also be doubled or tripled in max spell caster gear.

yeah. I think it's because we are too tanky now so they have to limit our dmg or we would be insane busted. however after seen other class changes .....why cannot warlocks be busted alittle like shamans. i would love a way to spread dots faster or a affliction form that reduces mana cost of dots. just QoL stuff. half the affliction runes don't even synergie together or are totally useless.

@PriestTankVideos even the ranged hunter changes are bad overall. As an example, kill shot glyph shares slot with sniper training. Tnt, finally has scaling, but it's ONLY melee attack power. The new reduced trap cd glyph makes the rotation even more hectic as you now have to change explosive and immolation traps for every fire trap cd, and you do it almost twice as often. Ranged hunter was already at a point it had gcd issues and is part of why it doesn't run steady shot glyph (the glyph is also only slightly better than expose weakness under perfect play, and 1 mistake makes it worse) Once again, the hunter design is a rush job of poorly thought out design slapped together with little thought on how it will play. That's for both ranged and melee.

I haven't been on the ptr to look but I think they're really pushing to bring dw in line with 2h. 2h could run Wyvern Strike + Raptor Fury as BM with the standard Flanking, Beast mastery, etc While Wyvern Strike seems really solid, it might also be viable to pick up Trap Launcher with T.N.T. as 2h Hunter. At 60 you have enough talents to get both Bestial Wrath and all the trap talents in Surv. This adds 10% reduced resist chance on traps, +30% damage along with the bonus T.N.T. damage of 10% +50% of melee AP. You could also chuck in the back rune Resourcefulness for the reduced cd/mana cost instead of the 15% move speed. Edit: I also don't see why they didn't give hunters the fire/frost ring runes if they want traps to be a big part of the class

he clearly Is not a priest player so had no clue in his comments. this will hurt dps in pve too cause we gonna be oom without dispersion.. .so we take dispersion but lose dps due to vp missing. honestly should just put dispersion into the spell book and remove it as a rune. they also need to make void zone apply all dots to targets hit...lie shadowcrash in retail

Bottom dps every phase but we bring utility so that makes up for doing less damage then tanks. At least let us do some damage for bringing all the raid utility we bring but blizz refuses because of pvp balance? Moving void plague out of chest rune is a slap in the face since the other runes there are trash. I wouldn't mind using mindflay in rotation but it has 24 yd range which makes it basically useless. The only thing Spriest has going for them next phase is most bosses in mc/ony/bwl are fire immune/resistant and will give the illusion that spriest cranks.

It appears that Aegis triggers when you DEAL a crit, and redoubt procs when you RECIEVE a crit. So it will be up more often. On top of a normal 10% chance to trigger on any refusal hit recieved. That's actually a solid rework.

As a deep prot War since phase 1, I kept hoping for some love on aoe threat but it looks like we’re still just getting nothing. Shockwave is garbage because it costs rage and stuns enemies meaning you spend rage to have no rage incoming for 4s. Discount Death Grip is going to be nearly useless in pve. Bears getting buffed aoe threat gen pushing us even further out of the dungeon tank scene making pre-raid gearing harder… not sure what they expect us to do. “Prot warrior might be back”? Not really. Still going to be the ‘hindering your raid dps’ choice. And no, fury spec warriors with a shield aren’t prot warriors.

the biggest problem with the warrior changes is that they are effectively base power nerfs because you can start using runes before you have good gear and they give you a nice boost, which is now being removed. while you might be able to counteract them by being really well geared (they might also introduce some crazy gear in the future that warriors scale well with), the problem remains that it is even more noticeable when you don't have good gear. this means that in turn warrior gets nerfed during leveling phase even more, which is currently their weakest point and that makes it even less fun to level a warrior. pair that with the fact that it is unknown whether warriors will even scale so well compared to other classes - because they talked about stuff like normalizing rage etc so even more nerfs might come in the future - all of this makes it a huge gamble to play a warrior in p4, and I foresee many people not wanting to take that gamble (me included).

⁠⁠@@parkerfrode5101lmfao please point me to where blizz has nerfed warrior. Even without flag we are able to do significantly more dps on the ptr than in st with no world buffs. Warriors remain infinitely stronger than they ever were in vanilla and will still be topping meters p4 same as ever.

Not sure about the other classes, but the paladin coverage was all over the place for this one. Not really an accurate account of how paladin's were prior to these PTR changes, and not really a good coverage of how they're going to be with these changes. For instance, shield of righteousness sucks. It deals 200 damage and doesn't scale with anything. That's an auto attack. Also, prot pallys are only doing a decent damage (getting run on by other melees) because they're all specced and geared for just ret even though they're filling the tank slot. Hallowed ground seems bugged because it's just not that good. Rank 5 (at level 60) does 384 damage, and it hardly scales. Say you take the crit slot on the helm, and you take hallowed ground. That's only going to be like 1000-1200 healing every 8 seconds, which really isn't much of anything when you're getting slapped for 200-500 from every mob every 1.5-2.5 seconds. It's basically net neutral with one mob, maybe two or three once you factor in other mitigation like blocks.

Sadly, just like in other phases a healing druid's potential is tied to runes, therefore, most healing druids will go DPS-ish runes and resort to baseline stuff for healing. So it's impossible to tell who is a "true" full on specced resto druid or if they even have the resto runes... It's a raid leading nightmare to deal with resto druids.

Seems Blizzard learned nothing from previous instant Starsurge by giving Ele Shamans instant Lava Burst... LB is the equal of a Starfire on Balance Druid. What was the thinking process behind for devs to make it instant? Ele shams have never had any burst issues on p3 to see this a requirement.

@@Parzival.007 the rotation for ranged hunter is trash. I hate cata survival spec, which is what ranged hunter in sod is. They pushed us to melee hunter in phase 2, everyone moves to melee hunter and then they gut it. It's honestly disheartening as fuck. I was so excited for phase 4.

from what i tested fury prot is a thing again, full prot warry has no chance against the incredible threat generation of pala and BEAR (lol!), i could hold aggro as fury prot though, most dmg i did was in arms spec taking raging blow as chest rune and chilling in battle stance casting execute, overpower,slam, mortal strike, raging blow, i could get to almost 1k dps but all other dps specs for warry were fucked

Rip enhancement in pvp lol. without the mealstrom heal, its just a dps race against anything that has a damage mitigation though... you will loose, plus the damage nurf across the board. this is very saddening. And elemental will pump out of mana in 5 seconds... errr.....

Some great class changes and additions but I am pretty pissed off and annnoyed that they nerfed Enhancement Shaman, esp MW5 procs to not allow instnat heals or CHL.... this has always been part of maelstrom weapon and enhance playstyle, it really fits our hybrid support class nature, and the nerf just sucks. Plus they just overall nerfed AP>SP conversion or bonus to heals. Considering Shaman have no good defensives, mobility, or CC, we have to rely on self heals for survivability. I hope they revert this change cause its pretty lame.

To me the warrior changes seem like huge nerf and no reason to play one anymore. I'd like to be proven wrong though. Nerfing runes and trying to make up for it with a 6 set tier bonus that you'll change in the future is NOT a good thing.

i'm not even mad about healing wave or chain.... it'll make content a little harder to solo. I am mad about rogues BlunderBuss doing the same thing as shamans molten blast, only quadruple the dmg without a broken threat modifier.. I am mad about the tier set having stuff that should just be baked into shield mastery already. and i am mad about Protection paladins getting active mitigation buffs outside of tier.

Why would you think they can't use fire in MC and BWL. Gnomer allowed warriors/rogue/druid to bleed all the mechanicals and poison them. ST didn't stop nature damage.

Can now 100% Confirm noone play priest at blizzard. Yey..... we got nothing new and they made sure you cant have void plague as a healer anymore...... Use shield is fun as disc, but the rest of the tallent tree and sett pieces dont support that, and binding heal is the most useless spell priest have, and will at best be casted ones a week unless Arena is a thing in P4....... If we didnt get circle of healing in P1 we would not been used for anything at all.....

Even worse for resto druid, their healing spells are locked behind runes. So you never know if you're inviting a full speced resto healing druid or a druid who tries to get by with NO healing runes, might also encounter druids who flat out didn't get healing runes. Nearly every rune slot has an appealing damage-centric rune.

It feels like you don't really care or know anything about healers. I can read the tooltips myself. There isn't really much insight into how they play and how the different mechanics interact. You are in a high end guild and could ask your healers rather than cynically putting out slop.

SoD was a good try at Phase 1. Then it fell off drastically!! If you like Classic Vanilla WoW and dont wanna play on the main cluster of realms(which is tremendous expensive for new players) try joining the EU-Realm- Zandalar Tribe! Its a Fresh Vanilla experiment. Its not linked with other realms, character transfers are not allowed and there is a Huge momentum right now!! New players join constantly everyday! Missed a couple things. hunter kill command is removed. arcane barrage rune was added. also warlocks are ruined because blizzard made them tanks. so they get 0 love. one of the most boring classes to play right now cause it feels like you ar stuck in class while others are playing SOD.

The shadow changes are ... what am I even looking at?! I have now a 14+ button rotation (no hyperboly btw.) and if I play at the level of a 99 parse I get to do LESS DAMAGE THAN A FUCKING TANK. BY NO SMALL MARGIN BTW. AND LESS THAN ONE THIRD OF A WARRIOR. I wish someone over there had an epiphany and took a bubble bath with toaster-kun. @@cynic256 I do, or rather did, play melee hunter for quite some time and I know how comparatively difficult range hunter is. Melee hunter was ok, but with small changes it could have been more of a utility class with middle of the pack damage, that could be played by less competitive and skilled people who like the class fantasy of hunter. Ranged hunter dmg is a tad underwhelming for what you get, but the core of it is solid. This is mostly a scaling thing. So, unlike shadow and unlike melee hunter, I has a few things going for it if you like to pump dps. On ranged hunter it truely matters what you do, how you move, when you move, rotation/prio, not skipping shots, hybrid gearing, how to use cds and so on and so forth. The difference in dps output between a great and a mediocre hunter player is very noticeable and I think that is the sign of a truely well designed spec you can opt in as a competitive dps player.

They got nerfed in PvP but most definitely not in PvP. They now get to use twisted faith which buffs mind blast and mind flay by 50%. That’s big for mind blast alone and mind flay will very much be in the rotation with the tier 1 set bonus. They don’t need dispersion in pve at all. Mana is a non issue
