Thank you for this information I have a worry. I just got to Lisbon as a master student and I'm yet to resume school because I haven't paid my fee I don't know if I should go for the expression of interest

To be candid, if you haven't got ur residency, use the school doc to get ur residency and get job. Expression of interest is another thing entirely. You have a golden opportunity now that touch came in with study visa. I can't explain well by writing, but send me DM thru fb and I will explain better.

Thanks for the information. Please I have a question; I want to apply for Msc in University of Algarve by January but the course I found that suits me is taught in Portuguese. I've started taking language classes already, but do you think that will be a good idea? Thanks and sorry for the long message.

To be sincere, it's not easy. I faced such experience too. I could work fully at my work place because I was battling with the language. When other were working, I would use some of my day to book meetings with lecturers to put me thru. But it's just for the first year. I survived, bcos I already had my hubby working and we were doing fine. And if you have a good grade in the first year, you will be opportune to pay tuition as that of national student (14/20)

You mean using a schengen visa to get student resident permit. Yes, but you know the window for school admission is around January

Weldone ma. I want to ask that as a student, you invited ur spouse to Portugal, are they to fill this form? Is there a straight way for them to apply for resident permit? Rather than wait for 2yrs since they can't travel even into other Schengen countries.

If you are a student and you invited ur spouse, you don't need this at all. You just apply to SED for family reunification and the residency permit would be given to him/her. Such spouse can do full time job to support you

Before making attempt for the tourist visa, just ensure that you have been accepted in a school

Not really, when you get job from an employer, you have to fill and submit the expression of interest, SEF would go thru it and send you mail for appointment
