Hi! I noticed in some of the clips and videos you and your wife are wearing compression socks? Or shin guards? Some sort of knee high socks. What are they and would you recommend it for a spartan super? My husband and i are a doing a super in a few weeks. Would appreciate any recs!

They are knee high compression socks. You’ll see many people wearing something similar on race day. Some people it’s about the compression but for us it’s about protecting the legs. Some courses take you through dense woods or high grass and the added layer over that area is nice. They are a must in my opinion for the Tyrolean Traverse obstacle but you’ll probably only see that on a Beast course. Socks can make a big difference so remember to always train like you’re going to race meaning wearing and using the same or similar gear you will be on race day. Best of luck to you and your husband!
