@@South3West77 yep I didn’t know it lasted this long to be honest I remember when my dad and his team were cleaning the place fixing it up (fyi them workers are good hiders never play hide and seek with them)
Cookies 'n' Cream is the best, but the ultimate best, was the one they brought out with Golden Oreos years ago. It was a seasonal/limited time only kind of thing. Had to just catch it. Haven't seen it in a while. Wish they'd bring it back.
Great ice cream, but after that whole licking challenge. Its very unfortunate but I never ever bought Blue Bell or any other ice cream that wasn't sealed again.
It’s pretty easy to tell if someone has opened it before you. It’s a soft top that’s suctioned shut. If the lid doesn’t have the suction when you open it then someone opened it already
Will not buy it and haven't for years. During the plandemic when idiots were going into stores and opening ice cream containers and licking the contents most companies added a seal container. BUT NOT BLU LE BELL. WHAT A PISS POOR CUSTOMER SEVICE.
We had Blue Bell ice cream in Las Vegas for a couple years before the outbreak, it was a favorite ice cream brand tor everyone . Blue Bell, please come back to Las Vegas.
Most people will always remember Blue Bell as the ice cream that was the unfortunate victim of starting the whole disgusting “lick it and put it back” videos.
I love Blue Bell...but I was looking at the ingredients of their Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough in the store today and was surprised to see "contains bio-engineered ingredients" on the label. Mind you, most of their flavors don't have this, but it still makes me concerned.
Remember the ice cream licking fad a few years ago? Remember that Blue Bell said they were going to take precautions like putting a plastic 'safety seal' on the lid like everyone else? Remember? If your store carries Blue Bell, look at all the ice cream in the freezer - what is the ONLY tub that still has NO SAFETY SEAL? Yeah, Blue Bell!... Why?
I still say that, (Super Good) Ice Cream was the best! This was back in the '70s and '80s commonly sold at Maverick markets here in Texas. I sure do miss the good old times...
that's not what a google search returns... all references say it's because of the bluebonnet, which was also mistakenly know as and called a 'blue bell'.
Just watched a doco on Bluebell listeria outbreaks which is incredibly bad. American stupidity is unbelievable. Here in Australia they'd be shut down. Closed. End of story. I'm surprised another icecream company didn't step in and get new customers!? Youz did ok in WW2 but now the almighty dollar rules unabated. Disgusting.
You'll need a BANDSAW to get a bowl. After 2 days I gave up, got a pair of scissors and cut the paper tub away from the block and ate til I got sick. Never again. You'll love it when you are prying some out and the pain shoots through your hand, the chunk you sought, flies across the room.
As of the date of this video posting, you can't get Blue Bell in Las Vegas. Oh, you can drive down to freakin' ARIZONA and get it ... I'm thinking "no". Also, try to get Triple Chocolate if you can. If you can. I only found two tubs before the listeria outbreak that shut the Vegas plant down, and as much as I liked it, I'm not going to throw my life away for a brand of ice cream I can't buy anymore. But I'm not bitter.
me watching these video wile eating there ice cream for the first time its so good and then she Talking about outbreaks ( 0_O) And the next video i see on recomended a bitch liking it and puting it back (0_O )
Yes I agree that ice cream is good. But what I found interesting in this video was when they talked about the homemade vanilla on the carton is says natural and artificial flavoring I found that interesting.☺
I live about 10 miles from the Blue Bell creamery in Broken Arrow Oklahoma. There Ice cream is easily the best you can get in a grocery store, however another small chain, Braums, is actually better
It just recently came to the food Lion store near me in virginia, I assume it replaced Turkey Hill brand as I don't see it any longer. Blue Bell gives you a true half gallon which I don't see any other that makes half gallon size container. I like it, have tried peaches and cream and cookies and cream.
You know what assumptions make you?! Do you still sell Turkey Hill at Kroger!! Making a gallon of ice cream at home is better & cheaper than Bluebell!!
I'm gonna tell you a story about growing up in Waller Tx. On the weekends week would drive for what seemed liked hours. As a child we would pack up our family and sojourn to the heavenly house of treats. Thank you for the memories.
As a native Texan, florist and the daughter of a Brenham lady who went to school with the Kruse brothers, please correct your photo of what you refer to as a Bluebell to the correct one. What you are showing is wild Hyacinth. The actual flower is a lisianthus. Thanks!
My go to flavors were always Rocky Road and Strawberry. Strawberry was just so damn good once you start you don’t wanna stop till your full. But being lactose sucks but this ice cream is so good you power through it and deal with the pains later lol 😂
My favorite is cherry vanilla and pecan praline and cream i was mad when they took out the blue bell at my school i still love it despite the 2015 thing
