Is it any good, the bezel width around the screen is huge! What is it hiding?

They really aren't that distracting when playing. More concerning is the low resolution and slight lag. Still fun, though.

I was thinking of picking this up, but the game not running at 60fps has me concerned that I won’t like it. I consider Pinball FX to be the pinnacle of virtual pinball physics and their games run at 60fps.

It's fun, but there's going to be a lot of competition in 2020, so if you have more demanding needs, it's probably wise to see what comes out.

cool pacman ghost back there. Man this thing seems like a back breaker to bend down and play it.

@@Charmander009 That's not how you play pinball. You lean yourself forward while standing. You have to look over the board as you play. It does look a little short in this video, but I'm 6'3". I'm sure you could install longer legs on it or something to boost the legs at least a few inches.

The idea is ok but I wish it were a full size machine, this is too short, too small. Is it possible to add games?
@BillLoguidiceAuthor

There's a v2 coming, as well as additional machines from other competitors. The market will be quite interesting before the year is out.

@@BillLoguidiceAuthor thank you so much for your reply. I never purchased one pinballmachine I just play them on PS4 and on my phone, I grew up playing real ones, they were very popular in late 70s and in the 80s back home. I really liked the one by arcade 1up, problem is I think you can not add more games. What you think of the one sold by rec room masters? They cost around 1k but you can add games in them. I see many people building their own machines but I'm not skilled like that. What you suggest?

nervouzzzzz Those can present setup challenges. I'd personally recommending waiting until later this year so you can see the new ones that are coming out first.

Thank you for this. The question is whether arcade1up’s digital pinballs will be better (they may be more costly). Or whether there will be additional competitors-does anyone know? Again, thanks for the great vid.

I haven't had a chance to do an updated video, but my opinion has evolved. As I've spent more quality time with it, I've not really noticed the lag that was so apparent when I was first using it. Whether it's me adapting, the buttons "breaking in," or some other reason, I'm much happier now with the performance. The only thing I'm still a bit down on is the speaker quality, some of the low resolution/jagged art assets, and lack of contrast in some areas, but overall I'm much happier with it now the more I've played with it. And yes, there will be more competitors. We'll have to keep watching to see how the Gen 2 Toy Shock stuff fares, as well as the gen 1 Arcade1Up stuff is.
