I remember playing DDLC+ with the only background knowledge of it being it's a horror game masquerading as a dating sim. So, as I played, I did so as I would a regular dating sim and legitimately fell in love with Monika. At the end when it was just us I felt really happy, but I quickly found out it wasn't going to end unless I deleted her. I was completely devastated, but I did it. By far the most emotional I've ever been during a game's credit sequence.

Alright, let's see my score: Yume Nikki: You either do dr*gs (censored bc idk how youtube will react), take meds, or both. Wdym, most I got's allergy pills ;-; The Stanley Parable: Your life is a lie. ?????? It isn't a horror game???? Yeah, you could argue about the scarier endings and the existentialism, but that's like calling Undertale a horror game for the neutral and genocide endings. Has elements, but doesn't fit. I will say, though, my life is indeed a lie Spooky's Jumpscare Mansion: You love a good "looks like it's for kids but it's actually messed up" game. Yeah. Fair. Any indie horror game: You're an 8-year-old who's getting into the next horror game trend that'll die in a month, or you're a gaming connoisseur who found a niche indie horror that your guard from the public as a hidden gem. I'm the second. **coughs in Pony Island** I do occasionally find a game I genuinely like from a trend, but not all the time. I liked KinitoPET. OMORI: Once you got into the fandom, you've never been able to get out. You're also in psychosis. Yeah. Also fair. DDLC: You're a traumatized simp and you still haven't let go. "Traumatised simp" is a professional title for me at this point. Also, I identify with Sayori on a spiritual level. yayyy, i'm semi on time for once

I can confirm, midnight witch is a must play if you like ddlc, I played on a vc with one of my friends and we both loved it. Great story, great characters, great everything. I HIGHLY recommend it

Welcome back Mvperry I actually tried playing Midnight Witch it is totally worth playing from start to finish. Not spoiling it but it is totally worth playing. Also to answer which is my favorite horror game I don’t have a favorite cause they’re all pretty good to play that’s if you can handle all the craziness of them that is. Rusty lake - either you play it for the weirdness beside u don't understand anything or you've watched every single essay about it's lore or both, also it's really underrated as well
