Not really. In reality, the B1 tanks were very unreliable, so most of them could not even engage the Germans, because they broke down on the way to the battlefield. Also, they were very large and slow, which made them excellent targets for attack aircraft and artillery, therefore, many B1 tanks were destroyed on the march to the place of deployment.

Definitely, the French army was a crucial part of why Dunkirk succeeded along with the British rearguard who stayed behind to keep fighting with the French, and without the French army, its unlikely that the British would have had such a successful evacuation.

Actually I wrote an essay on this and I wrote that it was the Arabs fault for not choosing to compromise in 1947 when Israel did so therefore it's their fault
France did not lose ww2, seem like you don't know about the resistance. For a country to lose a war, it have to be fully occupied, only half of France was occupied while the other half was still fighting.
@@OCGangsta No, this picture is just showing a traitor signing an armistice without having the legal authority to do it and without anyone esle, like you know the real gouvernment or the military knowing it. He was not and never been the French president. The real french gouvernment never surrendered, they went to great britain. Charle de Gaulle (who became president after the war) was fighting with the resistance in southern France and even made a temporary gouvernment in response to that traitor Pétain was.

Meanwhile look who retreated from afghanistan and who is in control of the country now. Take for example Poland, it was conpletely occupied, that is losing a war. Again if we follow your logic, signing an armistice mean you lose a war? Then wouldn't that make Germany both a winner and a loser of ww2? No it doesn't work that way. France lost the battle of France, not the war.
@@maksdorleans free french force have fought from the fall of france to the liberation, and yankies and rose beef think that france lost... if we lost, then why are we still here? who save there ass in dunkirk? who helped by keeping a lot of german busy when they where liberating the south of france, who insurected themself in Paris, Lyon, and other city? that not the americans that din't choose to fight until pearl harbour... british are the real boss, they manage to survive all of the conflict.
i see the point for WWII, but i don't see the other one? 1870? 1815? even that technicly free french force continued to fight in north africa and inside enemy territory. but yeah the III republic lost the battle of France and Vichy France was just a german puppet.
