Here's how I stand out on github, I don't bother with tutorials or stuff everyone does, I just work on my current project. Currently, I am working on a javascript library to turn text into snap block images (snap is like scratch, but with a lot of more advanced stuff, like actual lists as a data type, errors, and a lot more). I'm working on this library for the snap community, not necessarily for my own gain.
