Hi is it still possible for someone to sign up to creator now referral program ? And if so how does it work now as last i heard vidiq bought creator now so if i pay for vidiq will i also get all the benefits from the creator program included to ?
Dude when I have a Musicvideo and as entrance I make several famous people say a cohesive text, everyone one line, fictional and non fictional people, do I have to declare anything or do anything or can i just upload it, what do you think! I made it with the site "Fake You" and have a disclaimer in the beginning where I say "Made with Fake You" and the Fake you link under the Video. Example: Tupac: Here is Daryl Captain america: The Man Donald Trump: The Monster Kanye West The Master Hulk Hogan: The legend Eminem: Mc Death Thx 4 your answer in advance
To be honest I always skip a video everytime I know it's an AI as it feels so flat, except if the story really means to me. Thank you again for sharing and I can't wait finishing watching this video. Once again everyone, we can do it! Small creators ✊✊
@treasureandasong I understand that not everyone is ready for it. I hate my voice so it definitely took getting used to. But I just can't get past that fake sound. It's grating to my ears. I rather listen to my own voice lol 😅
This video is very helpful. I'm leaving a comment here so that when someone likes or replies to it, I'll get a reminder to watch the video again. Thanks!
I don't feel alone after seeing all of the comments about using the AI text to script. Keep looking up on your channel and don't let people who don't like the sound keep you from using it because those of us who do use it, will be your subscribers and people who will support you in the end. ❤
As far as I understand, RU-vid does not penalise if we answer "yes". The yes or no is not limited to AI voices. It also includes, do you "generate a realistic-looking scene that didn't actually occur". So, if you are creating AI-generated imagery with Stable Diffusion or Midjourney, you have to say "yes".
I voice over a lot of my videos with lots of Broll. I may try cloning my voice with AI and focus more on my Broll, this could save me hours. Thanks for this video Rob!
Great video as always guys! I just want to reiterate the most important part here. This is VidIQ's opinion "key word" on what they THINK "another key word" you should do. RU-vid sometimes plays fast and loose with the rules to live by, so please keep up to date! You want the best possible chance for success here! Much love to you all and I hope you all achieve everything you desire to achieve!
Thank you for the insightful video on this topic. The issue is that those creating misleading AI-generated content are unlikely to declare it. RU-vid might be asking the wrong people. It's like asking a thief, 'Do you intend to steal?'
My content is focused on Ai content, like animated gifs, and Ai pictures. This new rule to me I am fine with. I probably would just out yes every time to avoid needing to type a certain Thing in my descriptions because Frequently put my content is Ai and honestly I really don't know if some people read that, so this will hopefully help a lot with that.
According to RU-vid's latest guidelines, creators are required to declare if their videos contain AI-generated or synthetic content that appears realistic. This includes content that makes a real person say or do something they didn't actually do, alters images of real events and places, or shows a "realistic scene" that didn't actually happen. RU-vid stopped recommending my music entirely, killing my channel. But they can do whatever they want and if you don't follow the rules they delete your channel.
Thanks, vidIQ for being our "voice" for the matter! Ever since this came out, my interpretation was I should tick "no" in case we pay for AI voices that narrate our written scripts and do not impersonate someone famous. Since you have an important voice in the YT universe, RU-vid will see that and finally decide to come forward with more details. To my eyes, they have deliberately waited all this time, to see any reactions and adjust accordingly. It's too bad they couldn't be clear from the start, so we would not feel anxious or upset or even worse scared. Yes scared, because we fear the unknown and value our time and effort on the up-climbing path to success.
It comes down to RU-vid doesn't want to get sued. A lot of laws regarding AI voices haven't been hammered out yet, And if IRL personalities are granted stronger rights over their vocal likeness, RU-vid wants to show that they have been making good faith efforts. Even trillion-dollar companies need to CYA.
Do not ever click either of those AI buttons, yes or no, leave the blank. Let this die on the vine. It's a probing loaded question, like a district attorney asking you if you ever did anything you felt guilty about. If you ever click yes, your entire channel is going to be scrutinized closer and blacklisted. If you always click no, it's going to look like your hiding something, and your channel is going to be scrutinized closer. It's a question you can't win by answering. Like the joke... "Have you stopped beating your wife?" If you say no, then you're an active wife beater, if you answer yes... then you were an active wife beater....
You guys made some videos about this topic. Simple answer is yes. It is allowed. As far as the content gives value, it doesn't matter either you or a robot talks in the background!
Questions on some nuances: #1. What about music generated by Suno/Udio, and then enhanced with real instruments, re-arranged in a DAW like ProTools, mixing altered… etc. Basically using AI as a starting point. I feel like I would mark Yes to be safe, but that it also diminishes the effort I would put in on top of those generations. #2. What about historical educational videos utilizing both AI generated imagery/voice-overs/videos AND real b-roll footage? (Example: a documentary about ancient Canaanite religion. That “footage” would obviously be fake… and if any person in particular is named, it would be based on biblical narrative or historic findings… not trying to create anything with the intention of deceit).
Thanks for this video! I have a question, can AI voiceover (from Eleven Labs for example) cause demonetisation of your channel? I'm asking cause i want to lower the cost of my videos and im not feeling confident to do the voiceovers by myself.
Curious too if there is any negative connotation to selecting yes. As in, say we use TTS and down the road YT changes the rules to include TTS, it would be easier to have just defaulted to yes just in case. However, unsure if there is a negative to selecting yes just in case (?)
Firstly, thank you for the answer Because I have a problem speaking the English language, I use artificial intelligence in the voiceover, and not only that, I have some problems speaking the mother tongue. I have my first video. I did editing and editing, and the biggest problem was the sound. Thank you very much.❤❤
I have an AI generated song that plays on the starting soon and ending screens of my livestreams, but i dont recall seeing this question for livestreams. Did i just miss it or is it not there yet?
If you're a subscriber and you know the valuable information this channel puts out, you wouldn't have commented negatively. Oh and Incase you didn't know whenever you comment good or bad it actually helps that video. So thanks, you kinda helped this video I guess.
@@pablor3138 THIS! 99.9% is cheap-sounding, utterly uninvolving, emotionally tone-deaf and far too often still just horrible at actual proper pronunciation. Not assuming it'll have any type of impact, but right now I'm switching off, disliking and removing any channel from my feed the second I get these dead voices reading Reddit posts.
@vidIQ hi sir I just want to ask what if I remove the original voice from the song or music using video editor with such AI feature and then I'll use that background music without the voice to my video content will I declare it YES or NO? please reply asap thank you and God bless
I use Logic Pro to produce music I publish on RU-vid. Logic has virtual musicians for drums, bass and keyboards. The phrasing of the question at the moment seems to me to make it right to answer no if I use these virtual musician tracks but only as parts of the projects, not generating the whole music works using these tracks. The one aspect I am a bit concerned about is that these virtual musicians often do quite a good job of tracks real musicians might play.
How about a video explaining why *_my listed video views have been lowering_* as time goes on? It seems something "less than honest" is afoot! Is RU-vid lying, or what? I've taken screenshots of this, & no doubt the legitimacy of what I'm saying here is captured in the metadata of the screenshots. There have been a few suspicious things regarding video views and subscriber counts, but this is unprecedented, and evidenced as truth! I have a handful of videos that had fewer views yesterday than they did the day before, screenshotted from the same device. Last I checked, it was impossible for viewings that already occurred to suddenly disappear like they never happened. Anyhow, VidIQ, you are & have been for years one of the best channels on RU-vid; thanx for what you do!
Was That South Park Rob, with his Floppy head Doing The V.O.? Yeah all of The Yes, Arnie was born in 1947, 8 Years after The Wizard of Oz (1939 hit theaters. And his face is clearly CGI'd onto Judy Garland's Body, as The Govenator was never that scrawny. Yeah Jimmy hasn't been that Bland in years, Maybe when he's talking face to face with someone, but when it's a cam, he's a totally different beast. Pun Intended.
I wish they would ban them. I usually just stop viewing any video if I hear an AI voice. Another issue I have with AI voices is that the often accompany videos made up of 'borrowed' clips of video from other channels. Several times from mine!! It seems very strange that a number of larger channels want to use original video, without even asking, from a little channel that isn't even monitized yet.
One of my channels 😅is a comedy channel where a psychic contacts famous people from behind the grave. I click YES. It’s all light hearted. So I think I should be okay ???
Basically, 1) Don't make a real person say something they didn't say or do. 2) Don't alter footage of a real place or event. 3) Don't create realistic looking scenes that did not actually occur. If you can avoid all of that with Ai then you can say no. Still, for shame on you for using Ai for spam low quality content.
That example of Arnold singing "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" its algo a grey area. Because, when Arnold's face it was added with AI, the voice wasn't. A comedian doing an impersonation of Arnold sang that, so it wasnt "AI generated".
True. Many people misused AI for bad intentions. However, in today's technology world, without the assistance of AI, it is impossible to succeed. Facts.
I use ai images in my video and click yes because I make realistic scenes like: Jesus fighting Ronald McDonald. Two real people, even though there's are no evidence that they have ever fought, I just want to be clear that I made it up.
Can I clone my own voice and say 'No' to the question? Well, I'm not impersonating myself, am I? 🤔 🤣 However a great many channels in my niche use cloned male voices and I started doing the same thing because that was the trend. Changing to my own voice now.
I despise ANY sort of AI generated narration in RU-vid videos! Listening to AI narration--no matter how "perfect" it is claimed to be---is grating and unpleasant. The flat, monotone sound of the "voice". The lack of pauses between sentences. The rhythmic and artificial spacing between words. When listening to an interesting video, I want to hear a REAL HUMAN voice (however flawed). I don't want to listen to HAL 9000.
My interpretation is that as long as you’re not giving misinformation or scamming I think you’ll be fine. It’s really such a gray area and can be confusing because of the wording “altered” some may not think Ai at first.
Basically, IF you are using a Known person to Pitch something (i.e. *Tom Cruise, a World Leader, etc.) then the answer is Yes. If you're merely using a General rundown of people doing something, with Voiceover aspects, then No. (Exception: flipping between Voiceover to the Actual person [*] )
I find video games to be boring. Do you have any videos for those who work in the music industry? We need to get more of those on the internet. Thanks. Great job, by the way!
Oh... synthetically altered music. Question: We publish mainly nightlife related videos. When recording at a carnival or street party how am I supposed to know how the music at the event, which is incidentally recorded with the video which is the focus of interest, was produced? It's just whatever the carroza/floats, sound systems or clubs are playing at the time. I am not able to request or direct the music content therefore how can I answer the question 🤔 Should I just click YES by default just in case it might be? It seems to me that whoever comes up with these rules don't properly consider all the real world scenarios when implemeting them.
What if I use AI website to clone my own voice so that I can just type the script into something and get my AI generated voice to speak it instead of recording the speech myself?
I am fond of voiceovers do voice of mine in each video's but for background I use non-copyrighted music genre only❤ as we follow youtube norms & community guidelines
YT keeps the rules vague on purpose in order to always have an excuse to delete or demonetize any channel that offends against their SJW agenda. The rules are also unequally enforced in an attempt to scare users into excessive compliance.
I don't think the rules are that vague but then need to be broad enough to fit all kinds of different situations. In AI's case just don't impersonate someone and you'll be fine.
We are a subscriber to IQ, how did you get those AI's to talk like Cnn guy and Tom Cruise, those look real would love to maybe do something with my own face and make AI lol
I use Siri to read viewers questions from the comments in my videos - nice to have a different voice popping up in the video so I’ll assume I can say no!
I still think that channels like mine will be hit hard as collateral damage. I'm not faking anything but I'm using AI voice because I'm not fluent enough in English. The emergence of AI generated voices created a window for me to start a channel in English but it seem now that RU-vid is planning to slam this window tight.
Isn't any music not created with an instrument technically synthetic? Like all rap music today? I use Fruity Loops to make beats... that's synthetic, isn't it?
When Ived used “My” voice in editing it’s labeled AI, it’s my voice, I said it, A particular program allow to upload my voice to script to audio. It was deemed “Impersonating”. When I selected NO. IJS the video had a high upward spike THEN FLATLINED.
@@DeepestQuotesAnd Correct, interesting when I went back and switched to YES it gained a few more suggested views However reviving a Flatlined video is often hopeless.
@@vidIQ no appeal, wasn’t a strike. 2 videos same voice & images uploaded hours apart received 0 shown in feed until. Team can see the analytics. Many have asked about this “strange” Flatline thing with the algorithm - IT’S A THING FR
