No he isn't the next Haaland, no one is. What he currently lacks in being a goal machine he makes up for it in his ability to bring others into play. 00:00-03:53 - Ability On the Ball 03:54-05:34 - Shooting/Finishing 05:35-07:28 - Movement 07:29-07:58 - Pressing 07:59-09:13 - Weaknesses
@HeshComps 2This is a special request, pls make a video how Rasmus Hojland compares with Evan Ferguson, their strengths and weaknesses ... because I will never forgive man UTD if in future they miss out of Evan Ferguson 🙄
Very refreshing to see a compilation that looks at strengths and weaknesses. Nice not to have to wade through stats [that are often as much a reflection of a players' teammates to a fair degree]. And great to see 'not the next Haaland, no-one is'. I watched a fair bunch of Serie A football last season (as a Sampdoria fan but interested in the whole division) and it was pretty clear that Haaland and Hojlund were substantially different, especially in the key factor like outcomes to expect.
@@ojh6925 He didn't stand out on the level that Haaland did at Dortmund but .. he was dangerous in his own way. They had Zapata, Lookman, Muriel and Hojlund amongst their forwards. Every now and then, Hojlund would pull something out of the bag and it would definitely grab the eye. I felt though that Lookman was the more consistent forward. Each time Lookman got on the ball, he seemed dangerous either creatively or was scoring. Koopmeiners, in midfield, seemed really good too.
If he can do this at 20 then there is a possibility of him becoming a world class in 2 or 3 years time. best of luck hojlund we hope you shine for manchester.
He’s a combination of Haaland and Kane. Not better than either one of course but he can become his own player and create his own legacy. We’ve really needed a striker like him.
Hes only 20 so hes bound to have some flaws, its his drive to run at people and hold the ball is whats making us UTD fans look forward to seing him play. People comparing him to haaland is lazy. No one is gonna be the next Haaland in a while now hes just started his career at City and people are trying to find the next version of him when hes only in his second season its crazy.
Haaland doesn't need dribbling skills. He scores a goal every 75 minutes versus Hojlund who scores every 204'minutes. Haaland only needs half a chance and his strength and speed and accuracy puts the ball away.
@@football_update121 Haaland scored a goal per game for multiple years and you think he needs dribbling skills 🤣. Haaland doesn't need advice from a couch potato. He averages a goal every 75 minutes! A game has 90 minutes so he is averaging slightly better than a goal per game! Hojlund for all his "skills" averages one goal every 204 minutes!
On RU-vid they usually show ‘highlights’ of players. As in their best bits. You can round up a compilation of Ronaldo or Messi running into dead ends of missing easy chances because that all happens to every player in football. Calling anyone the next anything else is foolish as every player brings their own attributes. In hojlunds case we will simply see when he starts making appearances whether the scouts and Ten Hag were right to bet big on him. It’s what careers live and die on.
At 19/20 he’s had to shoulder way more responsibility than Haaland and Kane. His has the potential to be world class. At 19/20 neither Haaland or Kane was playing as much and where not as developed as he is. Only time will tell where he will end up but if his trajectory is inline with the promise he has shown so far he will surpass both Haaland and Kane in being a complete world class footballer.
Excellent point. I will add that Messi at this same age was playing and more importantly learning from the goat of all goats, Ronaldinho. No disrespect to Atlanta but they are not exactly a top club in Serie A yet Rasmus was still able to perform at such a level
He's about 2.5 years younger than Haaland. Haaland, 2.5 years ago, was scoring goal after goal for Borussia Dortmund in both the Bundesliga and the Champions League. Before that, he was scoring first-half hat-tricks in the Champions League for RB Salzburg as an 18-year-old. This fella may turn out to be a decent player, but it's not true to say he's ahead in any way of where Haaland was at the same age - he's behind.
@@MickyMadHatterAgreed. Great player with lots of potential, but no way was he better than Haaland. Not to throw any shade at him, 99.99% of players at 18 weren't better than Haaland either. He's a freak.
He's not a finished product and still has a lot to learn and improve with good coaches around him and most importantly self determination he can go on and wow everyone
Taking players on regularly means your gonna loose the ball plenty of times. The fact he is doing this at his age along with his link up play, his strength, his speed. Means if he is allowed to continue his develop in a suitable manner he has the ability to be world class. Strikers in particular need time to learn there craft so much is intelligence based and education takes time. He has the instinct that is what cant be taught
Very nice analysis, I can see he has the potential to be like Kane with pace and pressing, he has good linkup already pace and pressing, but he needs to improve his touch, general striking, and Football IQ. These hopefully will come with experience. Lots of potential to be an extremely well-rounded striker. Kane also had to develop a lot to get where he is. Hes super interesting though he has very high top speed and people with great paces normally have a great jump on them it's interesting he doesn't so much. Plus is Left foot always a problem.
The major expectation of a striker is to score goals. Anything apart from that is minority. I’m rooting for him to become a world class player. He has the zeal and the strength to become one
Seems an objective review. Kudos for displaying the Good and the bad. Not many do. Makes it even more confounding if you're a United fan. This is showing someone who has great "Potential", which is perfectly fine. But at the price United paid, you'd expect more of the finished product given they are desperate for a true consistent goal scorer in the CF position. That was/is Harry Kane. But United chose to go with Potential instead. Something they should be doing if they already had that position solidified. The best case scenario and what they should have done is to obtain Kane (100m) AND Hojlund. That would have solved their biggest problem. Lack of goal scorers.
You're not paying for the finished product anymore. Look at Antony, look at Mudryk. 80m+ for players who haven't done anything at top level but this is the new market. Scouting becomes much more important, you need to be confident in your scouting department more than ever now.
Great player worthy every penny. He should live to satisfy a lot of Manchester United fans looking at his price tag, but all in all an excellent player.
Just compared statistics with Haaland's breakout prem season. Haaland has 29 non penalty goals, and Hojlund has an XG of about half that. So we shouldn't expect any more than 14 goals next season. I'd say 14 goals should be the target IF he playys every game. :)
@@letsseetofindout2560this is his current statistics he could turn into a 25+ goal striker if eth develops him and makes him go for more aerial duels during corners and set pieces etc and his pace on the transition is magnificent and could be a weghorst level presser
@@Alm6airi305 Absolutely! Just want to point out that 14 goals is probably the maximum he would get in his debut season. Want to set realistic standard :D.
He wont be a kane or a bergkamp but has Alen Boksic type qualities in raw form. If he stays fit, keeps focus and works hard (mentality) he could be a great.
He is just 20, you cant expect him to play at the level of Haaland, Kane, Mbappe or Osimhen, we can all judge him after 3 4 years. This is the pressure of being a United player, even though he hasnt played a game yet, he is being judged already
he looks great in these clips If I'm being honest better than half of the new strikers coming to the prem I think he'll be good in the next 3 years just needs time to perfect his craft he's only young and needs time just like half of the players at arsenal and brighton did brought young players waited a few years and now they are destroying teams
Today every player is hyped up so much even before they play.Rasmus will take time to adapt to premier league and most probably he will have a below avg first season
Very Good video with a complete analysis of his strengths and areas for improvements... I think his technique and decision making will get better working with ETH and the staff and so will his finishing
Haaland also doesn't have any dribbling skills. His advatages are strenght, speed when space towards the goal is open, finishing and heading. Pipo Inzaghi had zero dribbling skills but was one of the best finishers, which is the most important thing. Good striker is the one who takes even small opportunities to score a goal. That's why I can't stand Rashford, he needs at least 5 good opportunities to score one goal. United had perfect striker in Nistelrooy, any opportunity and it's a goal. Hojlund is just a kid, we'll see, I actually have zero expectations.
Lol 😂 You desperately want to show how bad he his but forgetting all this video has shown is a young lad who’s a fighter. His positioning and movement are big asset that would help the players around him like Rashford, Mount, Bruno, Antony and the rest get into goal scoring positions or give him assist. Nice video mate 😊
With the rest of the team and lack of strikers for 5 years, if he can put a ball in the back off the net from a through ball or cross that's all he needs to do. No one gives a shit if he can dribble like sancho or Antony or if he can pass like Bruno and Eriksen
You rely too much on RU-vid. We used to watch him play he just 20 and he can improve. I wish you could show us the other side of Haaland were he makes similar errors he is human isn’t it. You man city supporter.
No....he is playing for the wrong team. Haaland get served so many times in one match, hojlund maybe one two chances per match if hes lucky as he got mediocre teammates. Not that hard to understand....
Biased video - if you truly watch him he is brilliant at receiving long balls and holding up play! This video simply selects a few poor examples of him losing the ball in this mode of play and makes a meal out of it.
His transfer price was staggering for a teenager with these kind of skills, LOL. Maybe Atalanta bribe Man Utd scout with a kickback from the transfer fee :))))) Great video btw.
You have no idea creator. I appologize, but you don't. What kind of premise is that. Rasmus is Rasmus and Erling ehm is Erling. Rasmus is a better dribler, and has more vision. Erling is being fed tap ins
@@swagbag1835 Absolutely, no one have said otherwise but Rasmus have received the least assists in PL (stat from start December 2023) and my guess are that Haaland are receiving the most or very close to most. If Rasmus had Haaland´s service it would drastically improve his ability to help his team more.
