yes they do if you ask for it their legally obligated to give it to you the employee that told you they dont have it just broke the law and should be fired
I always go with the Monterrey melt on Texas toast. Fucking delicious. That said, what Whataburger has over a place like In 'N Out is it's variety and options. If you go there and get a plain burger you're really selling yourself short.
I'm a Texan and tried In N Out once . I thought their burgers tasted like Whataburger but smaller . Loved their fries , though. Whataburger has a wider variety on their menu and that makes them better than In N Out
People in the comments complaining about the price but the portions you get at Whataburger make up for the price. Their medium size would easily be considered a large everywhere else
Rocco you're lookin great and Meg great camera skills although controversial I personally appreciate how you got the shot of Kevin sipping out of that cone cup.
As a Texan, I am disappointed that you did not get toasted buns. It’s a small thing but it really makes the burger better. Also shouts out to the honey butter chicken biscuit
@@Weensx JUST ADDS A DIFFERENT TASTE TO IT. TOAST IS TASTIER THAN UNTOASTED BREAD, SO A BURGER WITH TOAST IS BETTER THAN A BURGER WITH UNTOASTED BREAD 😂😂
@@desotodesun3449 personal recommendation. Don't get it on texas toast because the avocado will make the bread soggy, get it on regular bread. You can thank me later.
@@gothicbbmelvin Ooh! If we're going with bun recommendations, let me jump in and say the honey barbecue chicken strip is meant to be had on a bun, and I will die on that hill. Give it a shot. Whoever decided it should default with Texas toast is a fool in a man's shoes
Everyone's favorite fast food burger chain is literally just based on which state they most closely identify with. Texans will say Whataburger, Californians will say In-N-Out, Virginians will say Five Guys, etc.
The most disappointing thing to me is that Lottaburger is only in New Mexico and ...really...who wants to go to New Mexico ? But whenever I drive through there...Lottaburger. They are 'da bomb.
I worked there for a bit and I would always make myself a grilled chicken club for lunch (Bun, lettuce, bacon, grilled onions, tomato slice maybe?, and whatever sauce you want on there) And if you're feeling adventurous you could grab a Dreamsicle shake (Orange soda and vanilla shake)
The burgers are decent if you load it up with BBQ and jalapeño and/or grilled onions. But that's Texan taste buds for ya. Just like In-n-out, ya gotta make sure to get those onions grilled.
I finally tried Whataburger recently and have never been so let down. I would rank the burger below Carl's Jr. I have worked at In-N-Out for the past five years and just finally left, so if anything, I have a biased *against* In-N-Out from eating a burger from there everyday, but in zero ways is Whataburger better.
That’s exactly how I felt about trying In&out for the first time . Being from tx and eating Whataburger my whole life. I was let down and I tried it in Az and cali multiple times giving In&out a fair chance and benefit of the doubt. I tried animal style fries , reminded me of thousand island dressing with mediocre sautéed onions. The fries were trash , as you may know. At the end of the day my friend , it is what it is.
I was gunna be up in arms about that burger review, but you pulled it around by enjoying the honey butter chicken biscuit, that really is my favorite menu item and I wish it was available all day. I will say, that downtown location isn't the best in the world either, but I guess that's no excuse. Eh, you win some, you lose some.
Your so right! We could care less about in and out until they came to Texas and it became a rivalry all of a sudden! And they are different styles of burgers! You want a thousand island dressing style burger go to in and out! You want a big country boy burger go to Whataburger! Stop the comparing it's getting to be annoying at this point
Fair assessment of whataburger imo. The fries have always struck me as on the salty side, and their burgers are just ok. My favorite things on their menu are the buffalo chicken tender sandwich (godlike but only comes by every so often), the coffee shake, and the jalapeño cheddar biscuit. Pro tip: you can even get the honey butter chicken biscuit with a jalapeño cheddar biscuit instead. Sounds weird but it’s DELICIOUS.
You can never trust a California or Texas resident to give an unbiased opinion. I’ll trust someone from minnesota to give an honest opinion. They didn’t grow up around both so people like that aren’t tainted with foolish pride over minnesota restaurant.
Our local IN and OUT here in Texas just closed up. Whataburger was right across the street..BIG MISTAKE!! IN and OUT was considered being like a Chuck E Cheese...or McDonalds. Kids food before it's demise. Btw, props to the guy with the hoodie on the left for being honest! The regulars get Double or triple meat with cheese all the way, the patty melt, chicken strips with white gravy. the avocado burger and chorizo burger. Never buy a regular Whataburger without the cheese....that's what they meant about not ordering a burger.
As a Texan, I have never had a Whataburger get my Burger order right once. However, the Honey Barbecue Chicken Strip Sandwich is legit and also just getting an order of biscuits and gravy you can't go wrong. Also that cinnamon roll is v nice
Anyone that says they prefer In and Out Fries to any other fast food establishment fries is talking purely off of Cali pride and should not be take serious about food lmao. My lone experience going to an In and Out I went through the drive through and threw my fries out the window to some birds on the way home after trying a couple.
I feel like people who say in n out burgers suck just put a shit load of the sauce on their burger because they believe locals do that lol here's how you order a fuckin burger get a double double and tell them you want the onions caramelized and order the pink lemonade there you go.
Oh hey cool, I went to that exact whataburger to use the bathroom when I was in san antonio in october. As a non-texan, if you ever go back I would just recommend all the shit from the "classics" menu or whatever it was called, like the chicken wing patty melt thing that's smothered in barbecue sauce. I'm with ya tho, the standard burger isn't great
I don’t know what kind of gas station y’all got to serve a burger like a whataburger burger, but they have got to be bad ass! And yeah, do t get a standard burger. Get the mushroom Swiss!
In-n out is awful, honestly. Im a native Texan, i like Whataburger but am also aware that its not the best burger on the planet. In n out just literally holds NOTHING in the way of being appetizing or desirable. The fries arent terrible and i like that they provide those little peppers, i dig that. But the burgers are absolutely bland to a Texans taste buds, for some reason. I guess it just comes down to personal preference. But i e never even heard of a Texan being converted to being an in n out fan. Not once.
I have an INOB and a WB within a mile of me that are right next to each other. Here's the skinny on them. INOB the sauce is utter rubbish. Without it, they're great. The BEST thing about INOB is they have great quality/consistency control that Whataburger just doesn't seem to have and I've eaten hundreds of 'em. This happens to all FF places on occasion. You just get substandard meals because whatever teenager of the week is working there at the time, just doesn't GoF about it. You know, you can always tell if the person who made your food put some effort into it or not. Doesn't always happen BUT, as I said, INOB has really good consistency/quality control standards that others seem to lose at times barring the big ones like MCD's, Wendy's, TB etc. But even those at times you can get a bad experience. INOB is always the same, so for that...5 stars. And you can just barely call INOB fast food. Kind of like Shake Shak or 5-guys. It's not really 'fast food' per se. WB is typical fast food because....you get it faster. One thing that can be said about both INOB and WB is they beat Carls Jr. to hell. I was really excited when CJ came to town and it was horrifying to me that they became a chain. I was like WTF is up with California ? The sauce...*hurl* They shut down in about two years. It's now an Arby's. I'm just not a fan of 'special sauces' on burgers. With that said, you ever get out to NM...Lottaburger. With Green Chili's. Mind expanding...lol.
