Paul’s daughter, Melissa actually did not act in Bonanza. There was an actress on the show who had the same name as her. This was clarified in an interview with Melissa Newman
Paul 'Newman' (?). Newman was born January 26, 1925, in Shaker Heights, Ohio, the second son of Theresa Garth (Fetzer, Fetzko, or Fetsko; Slovak: ; 1894-1982) and Arthur Sigmund Newman Sr. (1893-1950), who ran a sporting goods store. His father was Jewish, the son of Simon Newman and Hannah Cohn, Hungarian Jewish and Polish Jewish emigrants, from Hungary and Congress Poland, respectively. Paul's mother was a practitioner of Christian Science. She was born to a Catholic family in Peticse in the Austro-Hungarian Empire (present-day Ptičie, Slovakia). Newman followed no religion as an adult, but called himself a *Jew* ... 'because it's more of a challenge'. [For background information only. Via Wikipedia.] Regarding his children: No comment. We were friends with them when he was in the racing circuit. Most gorgeous man, inside and out. JoAnn is a beautiful soul. Now they had a true and legendary love life. 🙏❤️🙏
@@sroevukasroevuka , I just know it states 100% to charity. He sent us so much delicious salad dressing, we ate salads at dinner forever. Paul and his family did many many things for charity. Never asking for anything in return. 😊
