Both couples were astounding and did the nation proud. Johannes’ smile brings me so much happiness. You could really see how much dancing with John meant to him, to finally be himself. Just beautiful.

I’m lucky that even though I live in a boring little town I’ve always known so many other disabled people and gay people that this year’s final is just a case of seeing more people like me and my friends. We may be a minority and sometimes an oddity to some people but we’re fabulous humans who are someone’s majority. Rose, Giovanni, John and Jojo are all wonderful dancers and equally wonderful people.

One of only a few who has never had a dancing lesson before. The actors and actresses... all get Dancing in their Stage School training...naturally. So, they do have an edge!

Congratulations Rose and Gio. I voted for John and Johannes, but this season has been brilliant and I have never been so invested in Strictly ever. The competition was such a high quality and the best dancers got to the final. Poor AJ and Kai, I really felt for them but I think that is not the last time we'll see AJ dancing once her leg has healed. John and JoJo I love your relationship and thank you for making my heart sing ❤🧡💛💚💙💜

@@hotoneinspai they haven’t ‘sold’ anything, she has a boyfriend as far as I know, they have both worked their socks off and have won fair and square. All finalists were equally worthy but for me she is a champion for all people living with disability. Nothing to do with romance.

Well-deserved Rose and Giovanni! Have to admit though that it was John and Jojo that kept me watching at the beginning, and their dances that I consistently watched every week. Emotions ran high all around this time and John and Jojo are the best pairing I have ever seen on Strictly since the beginning in my opinion - perfect dancing relationship, purport and dancing ability. God, Jojo, Motsi plus Aj crying really had me hhh

This season was everything. So upset AJ had to bow out. But the final was like a middle finger to Covid. Full of joy. Strictly would have made history with either winner. I would have wanted John and Johannes but very happy for Rose. Everyone was deserving all around.

I know we are judging the dancing of the non-pro dancer, but I cannot take my eyes off Johannes. He is like flowing water. The best dancer I have ever seen. I voted for this pair from their first dance, and in my eyes were the superior pair. Sorry they did not win. Guess not enough people agreed with me. I shall miss this show.

The Story... of Rose and the love of her life...Giovannie caught the imagination of the public... Rose was very good and perhaps deserved to win...she was so Petit and they dressed her like a vulnerable english rose... It worked !! But the only finalist to address the rest of the dancers and celebrities and pay them homage was John Whaite John also made a point of sending his love to AG who was unable to dance but was watching...in the audience he & Johannes also thanked the Gospel Singers...Rose and Giovanni didn't. I think John was/is a truly nice man...and perhaps it would have done the nation good to have allowed them to win... But I knew 4 weeks ago it was in the bag for Rose...They sold themselves better than anyone and the public lapped it up.

Totally agree and Johannes' dancing is breath taking and mesmerising. I voted for them from week one and am really sorry they didn't win last night. I think both he and John were so gracious towards Rose and Gio, who didn't even acknowledge them after they were announced the winners...shame on them both really.

Rose is Incredible but Giovanni is a Great man, being able to find new ways of Training and learning some signs John and JoJo were great but there was no beating Rose, she was better than the hearing contestants.

Although I would probably say that my overall favourites this year were AJ and Kai, I never really mind who wins - I just love the dancing. If I had to choose, and just as a personal preference, I think John and Johannes were my favourites on the night simply because I really loved their show dance. Does anyone know if the usual reunion dance was on the show this year? I'm in Ireland and don't have a telly so I can only get the dances on the BBC website - and sometimes the judging for those kind people who upload it to RU-vid. I wondered if it might have been shelved because of tighter Covid restrictions because I haven't seen it uploaded anywhere.

Still the best series ever with the most popular winner ever these last two series have been a total disaster with nothing but complaints why do bbc try and break a winning formula they will lose two of the best male dancers good luck to them both and bbc put it back to normal too much diversity does not sway the public the winner should always be a male and female couple

I think they definitely should've involved AJ and Kai at the start. At least acknowledging that they made it to the final, cuz they are FINALISTS. They couldve been in those stars at the start. They've just been disregarded

Nah I doubt they could've taken rose and gio I loved aj but there was to much support for rose on the Wednesday she had a 90% chance of winning on the Friday after aj announcement rose jumped to 95% chance of winning that's the highest percentage of any strictly final

@@Carolb74 Well, perhaps, but I’m referring to the quality of the dancing. I liked Rose a lot, and admired her performance, especially for a women who is deaf and has to try that extra hard on her dances. However, Aj, was sublime and at times looked like she was an actual professional dancer! Unfortunately, the final was a bit lacklustre to say the least without her.

NO!!! this is not an equal represantion at all!!! A disabled woman against a Gay man!,! ....Just the moment that it was sure that AJ could not perform.. (And AJ was really better ad Rosen imo) the race was over.... al the conservatists and the "Haters" had only one person to vote for.... "The poor deaf girl", who still made a "big" career as an actrice, stole it as the "poor, romantic, softly dressed in rags or princess dresses"!?!?.... "Disney" anyone? BIG SURPRISE..... In Utopia she would have been 4th..... MHO just don't forget.... Trump won in 2016 because of stupidity and conservatism like this!!!....
