Whats On Board Ponant Le Bougainville 

Ponant has excellent itineraries and food. My problem now is a heavy solo supplement. Am not going to pay all that extra money. Need ships that like us solos

@@claudiahansen4938 You are not going to believe this, Claudia. Got an e-mail from Ponant today and they are erasing single supplements! The price you see on their single offers is the price you get. Yay!

@@SheilaSimkin looked at website. Loved the Japan cruises, either tropical islands and Kyushu, or the one that ends up in Taiwan. Also the Belize and Honduras cruises since I haven't been to those destinations. Much further afield, the long cruise from Darwin through Indonesia, ending in Bali, which I have never been to. Some really long flights for that one! I can dream!

The ship also has a bar below with sea views (fishies and all that good stuff) but it was closed because of covid. Everyone wants to have a drink in these surroundings. 🙈 Glad you enjoyed the tour (sure I forgot something) and best to you, Sheila 😍

We had to mask up in any open area - to and from cabin, tender, on buses, etc. sitting in the restaurant or bar, or in an open outside area, masks come off. Similar to what’s going on at home (at least for us). How about you, Nikki? Best to you and thanks for the view. Sheila 😍

Best to you, Jean Pierre. I went on the website and suggest try this on Ponant website.. Any cruise listed as an "Expedition Cruise" has included excursions (don't think mid-east has an expedition cruises). If your cruise isn't listed, you possibly have to pay for excursions. Click onto your cruise. Then on right side click "Itinerary." Each day should show "excursions" under what's happening that day. Click on an excursion and it should say "included" or give a cost. Dear Sheila Awesome! I will give it a try. The client service at Ponant is not what one expect from a deluxe cruise. They simple do not answer the phone. Hence I feel a bit uneasy. But the cruise seems so elegant! If you allow me the following question: with your experience, would you sail again with Ponant? Thsnk you so much for your assistance!

On board credits come from different directions; can be AARP, Virtuoso (my travel agent's group); Ponant for # of cruises, etc. On expedition cruises, it is almost impossible to spend because Ponant throws in free wine, drinks all day, not just with lunch and dinner, and included shore excursions. We end up spending it all in the gift shop. This cruise was not an 'expedition' and we used most of the credits on shore excursions. Thanks for your time to view, Warren. Have you been traveling?
