Japanese home market cars generally do not do high miles, but a lot of their driving is idle and stop/start in traffic. Given the servicing you are doing now I am surprised you also did not drain and change the coolant as well (then you could remove that overflow bottle making access much better to those plugs).

Swap the number plates out for standard ones. Or better still put a private plate on it 👍

About 5 years ago I bought a 2011 A6 C7 but the MMI was from the C6 models. Previous owner had done something with the MMI and had no maps and kept resetting to German. I contacted Audi Ireland who told me it would cost €750 to flash to newer software. Not a chance I was doing that. Last year I bought a module to add Apple Carplay/Android Auto for half the price. Had to pull the MMI out from the dash and plug the module between the MMI & the car and has worked very well since. I brought the car over to England during the summer and used the maps a lot for navigation as well as radio and music from the phone. Better to do that than pay Audi stupid money for an old MMI update.

It's a nice Audi you got there! 255/40 R20 is the factory size for the A6 C7 Allroad, for R21 wheels you need to get 255/35 tyres, 255/40 R21 is for the C8 generation and the latest SQ5. Cheers

I have this same engine in my A7 from 2011. I switched to Liqui Moly oil 5W-30 from genuine a gear ago, stopped my oil consumpion :D Car has done 210tkm tho.

you can make the new steering wheel work on your car with a small adapter. i have the same car model and fitted the same steering wheel ur trying to fit and the adapter makes it work perfectly.

I Love the Wheels, Very Robust for Winter. I am now on My Second Audi S5 after Trading my 2018 S5 for a Q5. Then back to a New 2022 S5 with the New Improved Rocker Arms. I get my Service every 5 to 6 K Miles. I'm a firm Believer in Maintenance. I just Hope I can Keep the S5 for along time as I just can't trade every 3 years. I getting Older and Money needs to be Considered. I expect a Carbon Clean at or about 60K. Is this realistic? Iv'e watched you work on those engins for a few years now and am hoping the Maintenance will keep it running for years to Come. Any tips you can share would be great. Thanks for your Channel. Do i spy a heated steering wheel button on the console? If so id find a nice heated flat bottom. I changed my a6 c7 sline one to a half alcentara one from a rs3. Needed to add some earths for the horn and keep the A6 buttons but not too bad a job and looks mines better.

The wheels are a bit bling in my opinion but it's your car. Can you tell me what year A6 Allroad was the best? When did you say ad blue came in? Looking for a good one with 3.0 diesel engine and would appreciate your recommendation. Thanks, Dave

Slightly to big. One inch smaller and the contrast will set them off well. All that caper with the ride height though. But I am jealous . I have a 2.7 tdi Le Mans . She shows her age now on 175k. I think I will go for one of these nxt or a Mercedese eclass w212 on an OMP64 engine ( better than the Audi engines except for the oil cooler issue (just did my mums ). Always drawn to the Audi’s though as the mb is soft.

check your belts tensioners and crank pulley i just bought another b8 s4 and crank pulley failed as none of the front belts or tensioners had been done

Interesting choice of vehicle. I live in Japan and have an a4(2014). What made you get a car with the 7-speed dl501? With all the known issues and all. I also have one in my car and have had no issues, but I am scared off buying an s4 mainly because of this transmission.

Why are you running the square license plates? Is that a standard thing to do on Japanese imports (done by the import company)? In this case the front bumper seems to be able to fit a normal UK style reg plate (I know US front bumpers sometimes dont or even have no mount location at all in states without front plate requirement)

It’s your car but they look too big. I always laugh a bit when I see owners and their vehicles with larger wheels than it was designed for… 😊 it just does not match. Think of the Golf with wheels that stick out and are to large, it is ugly and out of proportion.
