A beautiful place to live your life. I truely hate southern heat that stifles my activity and productivity level on too many days of the year. This said I would prefer coastal areas of ME due to the potentially harsh winter conditions of "upstate hinterland". Building up a stable source of income up there of course requires both creativity and mobility and should be crux of the matter for plenty of those potentially interested.
