***** yeah that voodoo econ of trickle down. hasn't work since reagan said more taxes cut for the rich but a true believer it isn't about truth it's about sides. if you want to know why 22 million don't have jobs. knock on bush's door and ask him why we went to war in iraq so he and his friend could loot.
I started watching this and my WTF gauge was just ramping higher and higher... then I caught on and was desperately choking down explosive fits of laughter, trying not to waking sleeping people in my house.
This video is made of win, but the best line is: "A strung out ex-military type who's been out there too long and is taking the kind of damn fool chances that will get us all killed." It's just so overly specific that it becomes hilarious.
Unfortunately I know I'm not going to survive a Zombie Apocalypse when Romney takes office. However, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to handle the Alien Robot Invasion that I hear Obama is going to cause. All my gamer skills will assist me in piloting a giant robot and destroying the alien horde.
And Ebola is Obamas fault! Of course! Or so some republicans are now claiming. Sigh.... If we had Mit, we would have zombies. Hollywood knows how to deal with zombies. (Personally I don't see what all the fuss is about... look, zombies, they come pre-tenderized, easy to bone, and since they're not /technically/ human anymore, its not /technically/ canibalism. I dont see the problem here. )
For everyone who uses the term Snydercultists, you’re probably ok with sexism, racism and objectification. Y’all MCU fanboys want every superhero movie to be a lighthearted adventure with unfunny jokes being tossed around.
Trump already did the same type of video for Trump's campaign. It just wasn't satire. Republicans actually *do* want the zombie apocalypse to happen, because when the undead come looking for brains to eat, they're safe.
And now Romney is treated like a hero lol. Funny thing is the same insults thrown at Trump were thrown at McCain and Romney. But now that Trump is president, these people will claim they always respected the former.
Yo, Joss! You actually did predict the future! You had the names wrong though. Too bad you a obamazombie! Maybe take a class in politics, or something...wise up a bit.
Love your movies, but your politics are simply socialism. Which is fine for you, because you're a multi-millionaire. For the rest of us who understand economics and the founder's vision, there's Libertarianism in its many flavors.
Wait.. if he's already a part of the one percent, why does he care about socialism, which is basically taking his multi-million dollar money and giving it to the 99 percent?
No, it wouldn't. You see, in Hitler's Germany, socialism was used to reward those loyal to the party with contracts and such, and punish the enemies of the regime. Under Socialism, the rich indeed stay rich (and their friends and toadies can get along fairly well); but the lower upper class on down are put into the welfare state, with no chance of improving themselves. That's why many rich folk become socialist; they realize that -- even in a ridiculous 90% tax bracket -- they still own enough and produce enough to remain rich.
Obama is not a socialist. In the UK and Europe he'd be considered a conservative. Believing that the government should provide a safety net for the disadvantaged is hardly the same as advocating actual socialism. This comparison with Nazism is incredibly silly. Obama has not confiscated property, free speech exists, as does the due process of law. To compare Obama with Hitler is pathetic character assassination, and nothing more. In addition, the 'socialism' of Hitler really does not credit the term. There may be Champagne socialists, but they tend to be those with a conscience as opposed to those trying to cosy up with the totalitarian regime. Obama might be in favour of gun control, but then so was Churchill. And if you think I he was a closet Nazi, you're being a bit thick. In addition, while you might be able to draw incredibly flimsy parallels in terms of economic policy, you can do nothing of the sort when it comes to social views. Obama is the polar opposite in that regard, as indeed I might hope you are. If Obama has abused his powers, it is nothing more extreme than that of any President before him. Somehow I doubt your criticisms extend to those who came before him. Not only are your beliefs flawed, but they are inconsistently applied.
kurtjk01 Hahah.. what you just describe is actually the currently system of government in America. Wealthy business owners and corporations donate millions and billions of dollars to politicians, they get favorable treatments and policies favorable to them. Other American who are not wealthy enough to bribe get screw over. Wealthy people in defense industry, finance industry, energy industry all support Republican. The only wealthy 1 percent that support Obama are in creative industry. (generally speaking) Tell me what kind of government contracts actors, writer, and film producers can get from the government that would make them more wealthier? Can you also think of the kind of government contracts bankers, arm producers and oil and natural gas producers can get from the government that would make them more wealthy? Think man, Think!
novazee I never said we don't have corporatism; which is a version of socialism. As to your "donators" point, I suggest you research George Soros as well as the defunct company "Solyndra," just to start, to debunk your "all industry supports Republican" claim." As to "artists contracts," I direct you to the National Endowment of the Arts and the politicizing which goes on there. I think quite well, actually, and do a large amount of research; it's how I became Libertarian. Good day to you.
Ayn Rand: novelist, philosopher, playwright, screenwriter. Wrote "The Fountainhead" & "Atlas Shrugged." Developed "Objectivism," a philosophical system she described in Atlas Shrugged this way: "My philosophy, in essence, is the concept of man as a heroic being, with his own happiness as the moral purpose of his life, with productive achievement as his noblest activity, and reason as his only absolute." In other words "rational self-interest." That's why Joss said what he did.
Wow, Mr. Whedon, Thank You! Rich Hollywood A Lister artists really do know everything about everything in the Universe. I'm so relieved, I'm gonna go rent The Avengers and loose myself in some popcorn and sno caps, and forget about the National Debt. Who cares about that when I can watch Ironman and Thor have a pissing contest!
The funny thing about videos is that they don't disappear after the event it was about is over. For example, a video I saw of someone's 5th birthday didn't disappear, and they're 25 now! Weird, right?
LMFAO!!! Just 1 small part of why I love, worship, & respect Joss Whedon! The man's a genius. I've ROFL'd tons, cried my heart out, & loved/hated/both "characters" so much it feels like blasphemy 2 call them "characters" anymore. My BTVS + Angel Complete Series, Firefly, Serenity, & Dollhouse DVDs are watched repeatedly. Plus, I have my "after Series ended" Comics (only if assoc. w/Joss). Sorry if I forgot anything. Wish u could see this, Joss! U've made a bigger impact than u can imagine.
Do you know where that 47% paying no taxes number came from? Those that don't owe taxes at the end of the year because they've overpaid throughout the year. And those that don't pay income taxes are generally the elderly, the disabled, and students.
I choked on a grape when I was one and almost died. It cut of oxygen to my brain and caused mild brain damage. I was basically okay but I had to take medication for seizures. I was ignored by my mom and abused at school. I never knew my biological father and my step father died when I was 8 years old. Then I was put in the hospital and locked in a cage for walking to the arts and crafts room alone. My point is we all have it tough but we can't take all the challenges personally. Tough it out.
The math isn't right there. If a given Denny's employee even made about $16,000 a year, with 10 employees it would cost 160,000 a year. Add overheads to that, and a Denny's would have to make well over $175,000 just to operate. And the Denny's near me has something in the order of 30-40 employees. At $16,000 a year each that puts wages in the $480,000 mark. Again, not including overheads. At that rate, if most of the restaurants don't make $175,000, then Denny's costs more than it makes to run.
You said "none of you understand what you are talking about". I had no idea Canadians were so judgmental, small minded and grouped all 300,000,000+ of us together as having one mindset. Thanks for that insight and sharing. I'll be sure to remember that next time a Canadian opens her mouth.
I think he is right in investing in canned goods. Since we avoided his "zombie apocalypse," we can still use the canned beans to survive the next 4 years.
Tetro. If you see this, then thank you for your beautiful post. I see you removed it here for some reason and I tried to message you but it blocked me. So had to post here. You're a wise young man for you to have those insights. God bless. Message me if you would like.
I wounder why people fight so much but will rather not work with people to make a difference! With great power comes great responsibilities and accountable after death.
Really?! 10K dislikes? I voted Obama but...if roles were reversed, if this video were about the Obama zombie apocalypse...I'd still have found the humour in it.
Thats great for you, because my family in Budapest, Vienna, and Copenhagen couldn't believe that people would even consider Mitt Romney, let alone Rick Santorum, a decent candidate for president. And the U.S approval ratings for the Japanese, French, and British have all gone up at least 60% since 2008. Food stamps and poverty have gone up, but 580,000 jobs have been created in addition to the renewed 4,000,000 lost jobs from 2007-2008-2009. So far, economists are predicting an upward trend.
