We picked up this tiller from almost heaven graveyard up in Indiana, This is our first time testing it out. we had to order the pully system and belt to get it running. seems to be working pretty good!
The tractor is my 1966 Wheel Horse 1276, 12hp kohler. The restoration on this tractor was completed late last year and took over 2 years to get to this point.

Shut it down because I lost a bolt that holds the drive belt cover to the engine. No biggy, we have a couple kinks to work out

Nice rig! Love the black wheels. I have a 1987 or so 310-8 I wish I could find a tiller for it!

Very nice. I got lucky finding this tiller, it was at a junk yard for mowers. Didn't have the pullies though, had to sorce them through ebay. They are much easier to run then walk behind units, worth it!

looks like the tines are on the wrong sides like the left and right need to be swapped. Thats why it tills better when you go in reverse.

@@johnmcook1I checked the Manual as well. They are not on backwards. Refer to my responce to your other comment.

That is some hard soil. You might want to think a crop to turn under to add humus to the soil. Some people today call it "green manure".

I'll look into that for next season. After that first till it did go way smoother lol. I was anxious to try the tiller out so I skipped the plow last season. We tilled 5 or 6 times so we will see how next season goes. Thankyou for the advice!

I live within 30 minutes of that place you bought the tiller, is it worth the drive for parts and attachments? Pricing fair?

Keep it in low gear. Your are lurching forward a lot. Low gear will solve that😊

This wheel horse is a hydro automatic. Unfortunately there are no gears. We have another unit that has low but it needs rings

Dude has his tines on the wrong sides lol. Tills fine in reverse. Tines are 180 degrees out dang noobs

Lol, no there not. I'm breaking ground with the tiller. It's not designed to do that. That's what plows are made for... it plowed fine in reverse because that ground was already broke from going forward over it... After the 1st pass it performed as designed.
