Its hard to believe Pat plans to retire. It's even harder to believe Alex is gone now. I was born in the 80's and these shows have been on longer than I've been alive. Thats crazy to me. Time fly's.
My girlfriend and I met Pat S in a hotel lobby in Michigan approx 1990. I asked him "Where's Vanna?" He graciously said that was what everyone asked him. I asked it almost as a reflex (you've seen her) but later felt a little bad as he was super polite and could not have been nicer to us. Fans of his too of course.
