Wheel of time. Love you Robert Jordan but you made me want to smash my face in. I’ve never hated women characters more Brandon did an amazing job finishing the series. My husband is finally finishing it now. Steven Erickson. You broke my brain with the malazan series. I love it more than anything I’ve read. Took a lot of research online. A lot of work! But you have my heart always. Tehol and bug 2024!! Marc Simonetti did amazing artwork. Treasure my pictures by him ❤️❤️ Number 1 fan here.

100% agree on taking breaks on any long series, I just enjoy the series so much better that way. I get that fatigue too even if I'm absolutely loving every single book. Also go Malazan! I've read them both and they're both great.

I also get fatigued sometimes in big series! I completely agree that sometimes binging is not the way to go. Looking forward to your thoughts on Malazan! I need to give both those series a try at some point.

Going on a similar path to you, Loved RotE in 2022 and then did Wheel in 2023. I just finished WoT and it was awesome. Can't speak to Malazan but I loved Wheel. It does some of the classic tropes so well and the world is amazing.

hell yeah i dunno how my algorithm gave me this video but im a huge malazan fan. i'm on book 7 of my in depth re-read of the series with an ever growing TBR pile keeping me from finishing it off lol. i finished it back in 2016 but I still have moments where I'll remember random scenes from the books over the years, it's definitely a series that imprinted itself on me. do you have a goodreads or storygraph profile?

Both are good and both have some incredible moments. However, I feel that Malazan BotF is the better series. The Wot slog is real, but much more bearable when you can pick up the next book right away and move on through. I just think Malazan is much more epic in scope and has a much broader story to tell. I loved all of it.

This was fun! I feel like you really were hoping for Wheel of Time, though. ;o) I'm about 10% through Eye of the World (book 1 WoT) in trying to restart to finally finish that series, too.

Haha I knew Wheel of Time would be the easier and quicker choice LOL. However, I’m definitely looking forward to Malazan, considering how many Booktubers I like and respect list it as their favorite series of all time.
