There is no reason for a body cam to ever be turned off. There shouldn't even be a button to do so, and it should have redundant power supply to assure it stays on.
Why are you counting? I post more than 1 comment often especially during long videos where you'll have lots of thoughts at different times , mind you I counted and got as far as 19 before I stopped bothering....@@PFCIceman
Props to the cops who showed up on scene and charged their police chief with assault and battery. Imagine having to arrest your boss - that can’t be easy, but it must be done. And they did their job flawlessly
Crazy thing is police should no that people with cameras standing around are baiting them it’s so sad they can’t help but say something instead of leaving it alone there egos are to big to let it go
@phoenixandthepack2367 You're exactly right. And I'd like build on that just a bit, and add that another one out of the many reasons that the police cannot let it go, is because they've ALWAYS gotten away with that kind of behavior their entire careers. It's like dealing with very young children: If a child is behaving badly, and the parent(s) do absolutely nothing to correct the poor behavior, then why would the child ever think that they need to do anything differently? With police, it's even worse in some circumstances. Because the majority of the time, not only do they not get punished or reprimanded for abhorrent behavior...but a lot of the time, they actually end up getting REWARDED later on. Not they may not get rewarded solely due to that exact instance, but, a little down the line, all of a sudden they get a raise or a promotion which grants then even MORE power and LESS oversight. They then have even fewer people above them that have the power to hold them accountable.
@@mikoro88 You laughed at the statement "trespassing on public property". It can happen. It does happen. Not for just "being there". But if he was being trespassed, he had been asked to leave for some reason and refused.
Yo Jack is a brave kid. Props to him and how he stood his ground. I love how much trust Jack's dad had in his intellect and mental fortitude. To have that much articulation, self awareness and emotional control... wow.
That interrogation was wild. The ego of that person was simply astounding. How come these people don't even realise they are diggin themselves a hole is very strange to me.
@@honzasenbauer612 It's because of things like earlier. Most people believe that if they don't have a confession, they can't be charged. This is why being quiet and lawyering up is usually the best course of action, if you really didn't do anything you're fine and sometimes can sue for damages, on the other hand if you are convicted the lawyer is going to be able to get evidence and things too due to court orders for the case and will know exactly how deep in the pot their would be suspected person would be and would be able to go for as reduced as sentence as possible based on what evidence the police have. This person is clearly someone that thinks they are smarter based on a little bit of research or knowledge from being in the system before.
If a police captain has to call a judge to ask whether or not he is legally allowed to detain someone in a situation, he has no business being a captain. It’s like a pilot calling air traffic control and asking how to work the plane’s control panel.
I mean its okay to call a judge and ask. BEFORE he arrests someone. Better ask for help if you are unsure. But he was dumb for first acting, and then asking whether it was legal
ATC don't know how to operate a plane. It's more like a pilot calling the engineering department of his company, and asking them what the procedure is for an engine restart... WHILE AIRBORNE!
I love nothing more than educating police officers on the law they have come to enforce. The amount of times they have no idea what is written in the legislation is insane.
Swearing is Constitutional right. Someone won a massive multimillion dollar lawsuit because he got arrested for giving a cop the middle finger. Verbally or giving the middle finger to anyone is part of your freedom of speech.
That first cop was hilarious. What kind of cop lets an arrested suspect hold their selfie stick while they are under arrest. He knew he fucked up and instead of just being a man and apologizing he just kept digging deeper
20:34 " so i blew zeros so now your trying to say i smoked weed ." "You cant do that " PIG: "absolutely I can" " he cant do that" other PIG: " yes he can" Corruption at its finest . Protect and serve my arse .
They want that money. Very rare to hear about them capturing true criminals. Also they are supposed to stop pursuit when putting people's lives in danger. My 50 years on earth only one time have I seen an officer stop pursuit because he didn't want the victim on the motorcycle hurt or anyone else. Cops have killed and disabled so many people just by not stopping pursuits. They are not for the people's rights, peoples safety, just news reporters with a badge "uh where you heading to and where you coming from?" I cannot stand that question. It's also very unintelligent when they have to read the Miranda rights from a peice of paper. If you cannot remember those rights you should not be a cop because you probably don't know any rights.
Most police departments in the US have removed the slogan "To protect and serve" from their squad cars. They are absolutely not there to protect or serve. Their job is to screw over their fellow humans for the purpose of raising revenue for their perspective cities/counties/states. In my opinion, if a good person puts on a police uniform, it's no different than skinning a pig and wearing its hide. They are unclean because of their corruption. I would never point out the obvious by calling a cop a pig to his face, but if I did and they asked me why, I'd tell them that if they don't want to be called a pig, they need to stop wearing pig clothes and to get out of the hog pin they call a police station. The first Transformer movie had it right when they had "To Punish and Enslave" on the back of the Decepticon squad car.
That's what cops do. Admitting they are wrong is just something they seem unable to do. All the way to losing their job. District attorneys are the same. So many of them are unable to say they screwed up and put the wrong person in prison. One case, a man's DNA did not match up with a case of rape he was convicted for 20 years ago. Instead of letting the guy out of prison, the DA said he must have had a second guy with him! It's obvious the guy is innocent but the stupid DA is unable to admit he messed up. The same with the West Memphis 3. The DA still thinks those high school kids did it, even though they were released. Law enforcement just cannot admit they make mistakes!!
Bro Jeff saying “you the good cop?” Then replying with “you look like the prick” was the most realistic bad ass scene I’ve ever seen in my entire life lol
I’m amazed that Jeff the Legend was able to keep his wits about him while undergoing excruciating heroin withdrawal!! I’m amazed he got them to get his Coca-Cola and candy. Wow. He is smart and I hope he is now clean and using his street smarts to help others.
I'm sorry my friend but Jeff is not the real hero here,it's just a simple American dude who stand for himself and know is right like everybody should do,the real Heroes was the Jim Can 't swim crew who never had the respect they deserve Because back then ,they were the real pionniers of the genre and everybody since copied their style and nobody give them the crédit they deserve and every one of them use their sh*t......🤔
I have been a heroin addict for 19 years and with withdrawal... when you body starts to shake and you shit in your pants due to that you don't have control over your muscles....Jeff is definitely a legend... specific if he is on methadone. Methadone is worse than heroin. Took me 6 years on methadone to become clean, and withdrawals from methadone for some reason affect your bones...they hurt.
@mortenhyvejle I had a friend who was on methadone, too. She used to say the same thing. Would describe it as "ripping out of you." I commend you on your strength to get and stay clean.
@@kisaknight626 well your friend is absolutely right. It's worse than heroin... thanks I appreciate it. Took me 19 years though 😂... what about your friend? Clean now?
Jeff is awesome. He has a RU-vid channel called “The Legend of Jeff” as a nod to JCS’ video on that interrogation. He’s a really chill dude. I’m a former heroin addict and the last time I saw him on video he looked clean, or at least he wasn’t high at the time. I usually can tell right away and I didn’t see any red flags for heroin/opiate use on him but my radar isn’t 100% on point. I hope he’s doing as well as possible, whether he’s still on skag or not.
I'm recovering opiate addict ( pharmacuticals) i'm on subs now through the V.A. they should treat addicts in jail but as i'm sure you've heard they always say, " withdrawal won't kill you" i love jeff. i hope he's all good. @@Wimmig43at339

The video of the teen who kept requesting a breathalyzer seriously triggered me. About 5 years ago, I was an Uber driver and got a request in Bluffton SC. It was around 1am, bc that was usually my busiest time of night. I wasn't familiar with the area and was going to make a u-turn at the light when I saw a no u turn sign so I turned on my blinker and quickly got over to turn right at the light and turn around when the car behind me turned on his blue lights and a sheriff proceeded to pull me over. I explained to him I was an Uber driver and what had happened. He told me I had changed lanes quickly and asked if I had been drinking, which I had not. Then a Bluffton officer shows up. While the sheriff is asking me questions, the Bluffton cop goes to run my ID and plates. Then it gets crazy... the sheriff tells me he just got another call and needed to leave and the Bluffton officer was taking over. The sheriff deputy leaves and the Bluffton cop begins with asking if I'd had anything to drink or drugs, etc. He asks if I would do the breathalyzer and field sobriety which I did and passed. Then he asks if I had drugs in the car, I tell him I don't, that I'm just an Uber driver, trying to keep drunk people off the streets, he then tells me they're going to bring a drug dog to walk around my car. I said that was fine bc I had nothing to hide. Then they tell me the drug dog hit on something and I was floored. At that point, they proceeded to TRASH my car. They didn't find any drugs (shocker). So then they find two straws in the back seat of the car that my 2 year old daughter must have dropped between the car seat and the seat, that I hadn't noticed before. They said they were going to test them for drugs. By now, ALL OF BLUFFTON PD was there. I had been detained, in cuffs for TWO HOURS. I'm freaking out thinking they are going to try to find any reason they can to arrest me (I've never been arrested before). So, I ask the officer testing the "drug straws", when you test the straws and find NOTHING, then what? And the officers says, then I guess we'll let you go. To which the original officer shoots him a pissed off look. Needless to say, the straws didn't test positive for anything and I was released. That was the scariest thing I've ever had to go through. It was so obvious that officer was desperate to arrest me for something. I didn't even get a ticket because I hadn't broken any laws to even be pulled over. I asked around to see if there was anything I could do legally, and everyone told me that since I hadn't been arrested, it would be hard to do anything. Now, I don't EVER drive through Bluffton, S for fear of something like this happening again. I also quit being an Uber driver after that bc I was too scared to take requests at night after the incident and night is when you make the most money driving for ride share companies. Oh, I forgot to mention, when I finally got back in my car, the Uber request was still active. Granted, I had been detained on the side of the road for close to 3 hours while the Bluffton Police Department treated me like a hardened criminal. I called the person to make sure she was OK and if she still needed me to come get her. When she answered the phone, she was HEAVILY intoxicated but could tell I was upset and asked me if I was ok. I told her a brief version of what had happened and she told me she was fine and had decided to just stay at her friend's house that night. I ended the call and the request and went home forever changed by a group of bored, corrupt Bluffton SC police officers.
This is INFURIATING. And you actually could 100% sue for big money for illegal detainment, they can not detain you without reasonable suspicious a crime has been committed or is about to be
I got arrested one time while driving on a work permit I had for work. The officer literally said "even though it's a valid work permit I'm arresting you because you're license is suspended". It got dismissed before a court date could even be made.
You got lucky. Even a valid work permit doesn’t supersede state licensing laws. The exception is if all driving is done in private property throughways, roads etc.
@duzzitmatter8679 not here in Georgia, if you have a work permit you can drive to and from work as long as you're not doing anything illegal. The cop had no right to arrest me, that's what the DA's office concluded to which is why it got dismissed.
Lol false. The state gives the work permit license. Lol . Lol. Lol .wtf are you making up right now? The state supercedes their own work permit licenses? Work permits wouldn't exist if that was true. People just make up anything. Just delete your comment
Exactly. That was annoying. The other one with the random guy walking up and inserting himself in a traffic stop was stupid too. He had no reason to record or be there. They were doing a routine stop! Nothing out of the ordinary was going on. He wanted them to react. They have the right to be aware of their surroundings, know what the people crowding around them are up to and ask them to move back a little. The officers in that clip handled that situation fine in my opinion. The problem was the idiot recording. Those types of people do this intentionally to get a reaction for their little audience and some likes and views.
No it's because the cop that sits quietly is not in charge in that equation and disagreeing publicly with a colleague in blue can have some nasty consequences for the junior cop. They can only silently sit by learn and vow to do it differently in the future. It's not all black and white...
I can’t believe a judge would tolerate this. I bet if it was a good ole white cop that this pesti little idiot was harassing them he would be retain detained. Total asshole!
I believe any charges law enforcement should face, should be felonies. Law enforcement should never get the privilege of a misdemeanor. They should be held at a higher standard for ‘knowing the law’ and still breaking it. Just to be fair, lawyers and judges should be held to the same standard. If you know and ‘uphold’ the law, any crime you commit should surpass misdemeanor.
Fine, then you also need to raise the base salary of a cop and provide proper legal training allowing them to become lawyers or cop, because if you know the law expertly, you are a lawyer. I hope you are fine with paying for all this with your taxes.
@kaviramyead7987 that's what people are wanting when they say "defund the police". They want proper training done and I fully support the idea that anyone wanting to go into any capacity of law enforcement should go through some form of schooling, be trained to de-escalate situations and how to handle citizens that aren't neurotypical. Stating someone who's expertly knowledgeable in law is a lawyer is false, however. Every citizen should know and understand the law and their rights but being an expert in law does not necessarily make them a lawyer. And for what its worth, I'd be more than happy to pay for that with my taxes, especially if you consider I pay for what's in this video with my taxes already.
in more detail: a cops incentive to align with peer pressure is likely gonna be stronger than I dunno... to "regain the public's trust." This is an institutional problem.
@CromCruachTheElderK yeah, people don't understand regardless if it's a bad cop, telling on the the guy who is most likely going to be the only one to ave you back in a dangerous situation like a shootout isn't something you want to do
If I was a cop I would hope that that's what I would do but the gang mentality is strong and you end up building strong relationships maybe and that causes problems. Not good
The one at 18min should be considered public humiliation it's raining he had him out there for an hour in the rain and dude is in shorts and he proved over and over he was sober
You have the right to refuse these asinine tests... The only point is to document any slip up that could later be used as evidence of impairment. If you have done nothing wrong and you are not impaired, kindly tell them no thank you.

I applaud you, Jeff, most people in your position would've agreed with whatever they were told to out of sheer exhaustion and misery..
In Uk, lying a suspect about having evidence against him to get a confession from him it's illegal and will be thrown out of court. That was the first question I asked my module leader while doing the law of evidence module in uni 🤣
@Byronic19134 you are incorrect. Police are 100% aloud to lie to you in the US. Fruit of the poisonous tree refers to police collecting evidence in an illegal manner such as search without a warrent or an unlawful traffic stop
I love how the cops held the chief of police accountable ❤❤❤I hate when they get on a power trip & think they can treat ppl any old way!!! Them days are over boys now that everyone has cameras 😂😂
I've dealt with cops like this myself who are either on a power trip, decide what kind of person you are and decide that you're not worth helping, or decide you're guilty despite not having proof. although I'm from Australia, bad cops worldwide are an issue and if they can't be good cops who know the laws and don't let their assumptions or feelings in the way. Once you have a criminal record, some cops not all, believe you can't change and treat you accordingly. Cops everywhere need better training.
Yeah, I don't think people realize how debilitating opiate withdrawals can be. They're not quite on par with benzo or alcohol withdrawals, but they're a close second. For those of you who don't know what it feels like, I would personally compare it to having a really bad flu with a high fever and also having a panic attack simultaneously.
truly. his strength is unreal. the second i started going through withdrawals i was like a caged lion. stalking back and forth, sweating, maybe crying (probably), rages

As a person who got myself off of a LOT of needed morphine, it's absolutely cruel not to get an addict Methadone when asking for it. They have him in a very vulnerable situation!!
The fact that the cops at 32:00 had absolutely zero crime and had to find and make up something is crazy to me. This is why being charged for resisting unlawful arrests shouldn’t be a crime much less something that could get you actual jail time
I honestly don’t understand the ego. I think the test of a person is to let that go, and admit when you’re wrong. It’s why I’m 37 with a beautiful daughter of 15 years, and a beautiful wife of 16 years. You have to be humble. I make more mistakes that most, but ego gets you in trouble. Confidence is completely different and essential.
Well with riots etc. the states have gotten desperate and many have admitted that they’ve had to hire people they normally wouldn’t just to have enough cops on the streets.
15:40 its crazy how cops cant tell a squeaky clean jock kid from an actual drug offender. Maybe because i was an addict from a teen to my early 20s but man that kid looks like the captain of the soccer team to me. He was super respectful and year probably nervous because who would pull him over and tell him to get out of his car? The kid mightve had like 2 beers in his life.
