The Western Kentucky EF4 remains one of the most frightening in my mind, at least recently. The damage done in Bremen was especially horrendous, I remember it being described as a war zone. Two other really bad tornadoes that hit something train related were the Xenia F5 from April 3rd, 1974 and the Bridge Creek-Moore F5 from May 3rd, 1999. The Xenia tornado struck a Penn Central freight train, where it lifted and derailed several cars. The Bridge Creek-Moore tornado lifted a hopper car and threw it ¾ of a mile, remaining aloft for up to 100 yards at a time as it bounced along the ground.
Man I can’t believe it’s almost been two years since this event. That morning and the following days is something I’ll never forget. Seeing the damage of not only my town, but the railroads was insane. Great coverage of this, man!

I remember following Ryan Hall's coverage of this storm. We first thought this tornado just set a new record for a tornado crossing 4 states but later found out it was a different tornado in the beggining in Arkansas. Regardless I was absolutely terrified as it dawned on me that my home town of Louisville was a potential target and it was not unreasonable to expect it to pass through our town. It was probably one of the scariest nights of my life seeing it get closer and closer. Thankfully the Mayfield Tornado dissipated and the storm passed just south of Louisville but that doesn't change what happened to our southwest.
I’ve seen the power these storms bring. And it’s one of the most powerful things that you could ever witness. I stood on the side patio of my house and watched a EF3 form and travel towards my house. It died and all that was left was the dying wall cloud down the street from my house. It destroyed two Churches completely to the foundation and ripped the roofs off of over 27 houses.
Now this is something I didn’t expect Tornados being discuss I remember seeing a picture online of “Th Beats” (Aka; The Western Kentucky EF4 Tornado) it reminds of the Greensburg, Kansas EF5 tornado 2007
A tornado hit little rock where I live it's the worst storm to hit little rock since December of 99 the rebuild process is still on. I was in high school and a senior just about to graduate in a few months i remember the principle saying to take cover, i grew up the majority of life in little Rock and never witnessed anything like this so i was terrified I remembered watching it tear up Central Arkansas live. Thats a day that i won't forget. [Edit] for those of you who were wondering about the tornados ratings it was a high end EF3.
I remember that day. I live in the upper part of Kentucky on that diagram of the storm. I was worried cause power went out and wind was blowing like crazy and making the house sound like it was gonna fall apart. Thankfully from what I heard from my mom in the local news that not one was hurt, only damage done here was some old trees in the park was brought down thankfully but I still fill sorry for all who lost there life during this storm/tornado as it's never a good day when those take a life and hopefully they can find peace, both the family's and those that are no longer with us cause of this storm

Although this tornado thankfully never reached my county, we were not spared from the high winds its shock-waves produced; I remember seeing a photo on Facebook of a house in Dundee that had one half destroyed, while the other half was still intact. FYI as a Western Kentucky citizen, the official pronunciation is MEW-lenburg, not MOO-lenburg. ;)
0:27 Don't forget completely obliterating and scattering model train layouts and collections from those houses. Tornados scared me a lot as a kid. Luckily, none of those tornados came incredibly close to where I live to cause major damage. The worst has always been whatever was crushed under a fallen tree or branch. I know there have been other reports of trains being flung from the tracks by tornados long before this one. This is the most recent incident as far as I know.
The mayfield tornado was the worst single tornado since Joplin in 2011 for as bad as the tornado was the official rating given was EF4 That is not the top of the scale with ef5 tornadoes able to reach 300 miles per hour winds So yeah let that sink in

No worries homie it’s on me for not realizing in recording really lol; and shoot man I’m so sorry to hear that. I remember getting woken up to an alarm on my phone and hearing hail smack my window and car right after- 😅 Definitely not a fun day or night but interesting at least
