Bro I saw em live and they were having technical difficulties, they did a little Q&A and I asked why they don't play, or even mention the old songs and stated "like when a jealous man find a gun or empty, score 22, and straight got shit down by them saying "that's not us man" I was deviated 🥺
@@SakuraShikari_SC the new stuff ain't got nothing on the classics. Seriously and when they changed up some of songs too.. horrible. They were amazing, one of the first gigs they did, small venue, was pretty damn awesome. Forgot who was headlining but everyone left after shikari lol. Fuck man, that is going back a long, long time.. sucks
I've been a fan for over 14 years and I'm just finding all the old songs and demos now and I'm over the moon with happiness. Enter Shikari will always be my favorite band of all time ! The journey they've been through with their music is so beautiful and inspirational.
For sure man xD right after wish by alien ant farm on pro skater 3 then throw in my own worst enemy for good measure 😁 dont you miss 90s and 2000s punk and skate culture? What an era..
Oh shit so here it is. Ive been a shikari since 2007/08 and i am a big Rooster teeth fan and have been for around 5 - 6 years. I re-listen to old podcasts and this song was used for an RT podcast fan made intro over 6 years ago and i heard it the other day when i listened to the podcast. I had either forgotten this song or never heard about it until now but i am freaked out how coincidental that is.
Only needed to here those opening rifts to rush the dancefloor with all my pissed up friends to work ourselves up in a crescendo of dancing and good times. Fucking miss times like that. Thanks Shikari for supplying the tunes.
One of the most underrated and greatest bands of our era. I compare them to rage and nirvana in the way theyve moved and influenced me throughout the years. I literally cry tears of joy hearing this and take to the skies. So many memories of skating and falling asleep to this stuff through the darkest of times and best of times
probably my favorite of their old songs. I drove 9 hours to see their show in pomona, california. fuckin best day of my life, sometimes i wish i lived in the UK
Haha this was an early Enter Shikari demo/EP that was never 'officially' unreleased, which is why it doesn't appear on Spotify. The same goes for a lot of their earlier stuff: 'Nodding Acquaintance', 'The Bearer of Bad News' etc.
Agree is correct. I often rather think that they sing out what I think. I like the way they are going. They stick to the trend while still being above every band I know. That is true especially for their texts. Sincerly, another german fan ^^
@OhHiThereImOwen Yeah your right, and the best thing is it's still bloody amazing, and I love it. Also love what Rou said before Zzzonked at Reading Festival 2010, "We are Enter Shikari and we've been abusing music genres worthless boundaries since 2003." Damn right!
I honestly like Shikari's integration of electronics and post-harcore. I think theyll cut bak on the dubstep, but i agree. I wish they would make more songs like this
no no no, just use the stuff they recorded years ago, when they re-did the classics like Mothership for Take to the Skies, they took away the rawness which made ES even more awesome
No, people accuse them of becoming mainstream when they change their style to become more radio friendly, which they undoubtedly have. I mean I still think Enter Shikari's new stuff is decent, but I like their older stuff (take to the skies, the zone and the demos) considerably more.
@WUTBM Supposedly the reason why their style changed in between TTTS and CD is because Rou damaged his voice from screaming, so they moved in a more mellow direction.
Well you're right, that's really missing but I guess that's the way the progress went with their music. They want to show off what's wrong with the world in their opinion and so they make it serious so they will be heared. AndI have to confess, I agree with their opinions. But still, you're right buddy, missing some fun songs too but not that much ;) Sincerly, a german fan ;)
people saying shikari has become mainstream.. since when? Most of the pople, maybe all the shikari fan comments I have readen have sayed that TTTS is better, so have they gained more fans with Common? Propably few, but my point is that they totally weren't fishing any fans with Common. They made something new and fresh, this band wants to evolve all of the time, and that's only a good thing.
@AnonDJ enter shikari aren't happy hardcore as in the genre of dance music, but on their myspace it says they are happy hardcore, but i think they mean that in the sense that they are hardcore music but with positive attitudes in it, upbeat hardcore
How do you know that Enter Shikari's so good? Even their bad songs are catchy and good. Not saying Jealous Man is a bad song, but yeah, you get the idea.
@metal4liferawr i completely fucking agree! they should do it to every song on the EP no joke cuz with how much different Rou's voice is. We Can Breathe In Space on Tribalism is epic
His voice wasn't as mature, he'd just started out and to me, it was just them before they began to explore the darker, metal and synthesized type of thing that everyone loves these days! I love how he's got his Hertfordshire accent shining through as well, I think many would agree this is one of their old masterpieces!
They should redo this song bc now Rou's vocie is more mature and this song would be better if it was redone.... I'm sure it would be a hit:) ENTER SHIKARI!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, on my opinion Enter Shikari is the fucking best thing I ever heard, may it be the old or the new stuff. Of course the old songs kicks ass, but the new songs like on Tirbalism and Common Dreads does the same. I really enjoy see in wich way they progress with the music and I like the way they changed. I don't know why everybody is so disappointed about their change. Sorry for any grammatical mistakes, I'm german and my english is not as good as it should be :D
@JonnyJustSpunkiied I do like Common Dreads, but I think it's too much of a hange for most of the old-school fans... Yeah TTTS and the demos were my favourtie but what can you do?
Old Enter Shikari is a lot better than the new Enter Shikari, however, despite this fact it can still be said that Enter Shikari are the best band on the planet, because of their studio albums, their live performances, and most importantly their passion for giving their fans what they want which is fucking awesome music and top quality entertainment.
was still v.good. dont replace, just add ^^ hell they shoulda done all of their old songs on take to the skies, thing is the bulk of em kinda related to some big atmospherical war-esque theme no? this is a teenish anthem almost. That stitch, will only last one life.. *sniffs* OH SHIT sucha chooon :)
