When A Killer is Too Insane to Believe...

True Crime: Cases don't happen like this often... Generro Sanchez' killer remained dreadfully abrupt and truthful throughout his interrogation. No remorse or feeling of guilt was present, either. This is the case of a man wanted to know what killing someone felt like, and the twisted rationale behind his actions.

The thing is, there's no way to connect him with the murder since he only got involved after it took place. Felony murder charges can only be applied if the individual in question was actively participating in the commission of a felony when the murder occurred.

I agree. It would take a more knowledgeable one than me to judge him legally criminally insane, but in the vernacular, I think he's completely nuts. Is it possible that he not only relished the murder of an innocent human being, but also sort of enjoyed being found out and held to account (and punished)? Wanted notoriety? Phew! Completely away with the birds (sorry birds, no offense). More than a few neurones not firing so good there. I'm not sure that he couldn't distinguish right from wrong. To my mind he understood it very well in a mechanistic way and calculatingly played with it. Is that mad or evil, or both? Definitely lock him up and throw away the key. And when he eventually goes to meet his maker, how about he donates his brain to science so we can all learn a bit more about what makes a monster like him and where Satan lurks. So sorry for you Genero. Rest in peace lovely boy.

As someone that absolutely hates misunderstandings I completely relate to his need to be accurate with everything he says and everything that happened. It's not always about gaining anything or being strategic in any way. It's simply I want details to be clear and precise because if it isn't then people will 100% interpret you wrong and then everything else can become complicated and stressful for no reason.

The fact that you two even thought about how him being honest is a good thing to which you can relate because you hate misunderstandings and would hate people taking their own conclusions afterwards amazes me. This is an individual that's not in a right state of mind and nothing he does can elicit empathy. He's not doing it because he hates misunderstandings or because he thinks about what other people will think about him as you two clearly do. He's acting like that because he functions in such a fkd up way and no rational human being can relate to him

I'd be interested to know more about this. I think it's a bit funny how these mitigating diagnoses crawl out of the woodwork when push comes to shove. Many people have mental health problems during/throughout their lives. They don't generally go round killing other people. They are good employees, partners, parents and citizens. They often hurt themselves more than others. Bi-polar disorder seems to be a rubbish bin diagnosis when all other options run out, along with personality disorder this, that and the other. How much do these expert witnesses get paid? By the way, I can testify as a verified cat psychologist, (University of Planet Mars) that my cat is suffering from acute mouse aversion syndrome and is sadly compelled to slaughter them on sight. I rest my case, your Honor. Afterthought. Did Hitler have a bad childhood, debilitating mental disorder unspecified? Or was he a rotting crock of evil yuck?

No attempt whatsoever to shift blame or downplay his crime. He even offered up details that weren't requested from him. It's easy to see it as admirable on a surface level, but the guy is totally emotionless and unremorseful and unconcerned about the fact that he's incriminating himself. It’s not easy repeating the same thing again and again and again while walking around, raising and lowering your voice not to bore the kids, and coming up with jokes and whatnot to keep them engaged. I was very strict about students listening to me when I started to work. With experience comes that sense of becoming flexible in your ways. If a kid does not want to learn it’s up to them, I’ll try my best to guide you to the right path but if you decide to swerve into the wilderness that’s your choice. 😂😂😂 if you answer my question correctly and show me you’ve been listening, it only makes me happy. @shrimpflea Motive, while useful as a guide in the investigation phase, is not a required part of prosecuting a crime. It may be discussed by the prosecution to create plausibility that a suspect committed a crime, but this is exclusively done to persuade a jury. There is no burden of proof to establish motive, nor is it required to be recorded anywhere in a criminal trial. At most, motive may be considered in a plea of incapacity ("insanity plea") but not without significant input from behavioral health experts. There is not a list of legally recognized motives.

I don’t think he was legally insane at all. I know a lot about this since an actual inanity defense case happened in my family, plus I’ve done a lot of research on this topic. He knew exactly what he was doing, premeditated the murder, knew right from wrong, felt indifferent to legal and moral standards, and tried to get away with it until he was caught. He’s a psychopath, not someone who was so delusional where they couldn’t tell the difference between reality and the psychotic experience.

Happens when mentally unwell people get addicted or fascinated with watching horror films, crime docs, etc. They romanticize the idea and chance to be infamous. Their curiosity takes over and outways any fear of outcome. Think of someone like this kid in the video, he knows at worst he'd spend life in prison and in the end, he didn't even get that. @juliadagnall5816
@juliadagnall5816 11 месяцев назад
@@wrdscnceI don’t agree that it’s a soft science, but given that we don’t actually understand very much about how the brain works (as compared to other organs) many of the diagnostic criteria for various mental illnesses are still rather subjective. The brain is an incredibly complex organ and it can bend and break in many different ways so it should be no wonder that there is still more research to be done. In the meantime it doesn’t help that many people seem to get their understanding of mental illness from movies or TV which will gladly sacrifice accuracy for the sake of plot.
@psychobetha
@psychobetha 11 месяцев назад
an insanity plea doesn’t require any specific mental health diagnosis that includes psychopathy or psychosis. in some states all you need to show is that, at the time you committed the crime, your mental illness (whatever it may be) caused you to not know that what you were doing was wrong. in others it is either the above “right/wrong” thing *or* that your mental illness prevents you from conforming to the law (basically you know it’s wrong but you cannot stop yourself from acting on an “irresistible impulse” to commit a crime). as an example, diagnoses of depression and ptsd have been successfully used in cases where the defendant plead NGBI. it’s interesting to note that there are only 3 states that don’t allow insanity pleas. I think its obvious that at the time of the crime that he knew right from wrong, and that he understood what he was doing was wrong. He premeditated it, chose a victim that "would have less of an impact on others," deceived his friend to get him to drive him, deceived him by giving him the first gun clip and hid a 2nd one, hid and covered the victims body, deceived and lied to the witness who drove him to his friends house, returned to the scene of the crime to conceal and hide evidence more. That is a ton of proof that he understood what he was doing was wrong. Just because a person is apathetic or doesnt care about the victim or killing the victim doesnt mean they dont know right from wrong. If he didnt know right from wrong why did he make so much effort and do so many things to lie, hide, conceal, sneak, deceive, etc. Also his "good manners" are deceiving too, and totally in contradiction; shooting and murdering someone is not "polite," not "good manners," not "considerate." He supposedly wants to be respectful of others and not offend others, but shooting and murdering someone diesnt register with him? He knew exactly what he was doing.

That's extreme flat affect in addition to politeness. Add in delusion, hallucination, and impaired empathy in early adult years and you have a pretty textbook case of a psychotic disorder. Because it needs be said, people who experience psychosis are no more likely to be violent than anyone else and have an increased likelihood of being a victim of violence. Mental health is not as well understood as physical health and we don't really have all the tools to repair someone like this. Schizophrenia is actually a developmental disorder; it can no more be 'cured' than Autism or Down's syndrome. Better medications and integration into society are how you manage psychotic disorders. This man will probably need help his whole life but the modern idea of psychiatric wards as hospital-prisons is not a good solution.
