Sorry about your friend. Been in a similar situation and it sucks. But you can’t beat yourself up over it. We take a chance every time we get on 2 wheels. Great video, great reminder. Prayers to you all.

Hope your buddy is okay! I think most people fail to realize you're loaded up on adrenaline at that point and you don't realize how hurt you are until you come down from that. Definitely not your fault, things can get missed and you weren't riding like hooligans. Speedy Recovery!

Thanks Ben. He’s doing well and he’s in good spirits. It was a low speed crash but he landed awful hard on his shoulder and his ribs. Thanks for watching.

Don't beat yourself up man that's not your fault. Gravel is so hard to predict, especially if it's the same color as the road. I hope your friend is healing well and I hope you are doing well too man!

Can’t see everything when leading a ride and still watching the mirrors and watching for wildlife and all the other obstacles out there. And don’t forget those teenagers driving while texting.

I agree, I just hate that I missed the one spot that caused the issue. Thanks for watching and for the comment.

You know, it’s an awful thing when you drop your bike. Somehow, it’s worse when a guy following you goes down. Hope your buddy heals quickly. You need to get out of your own head.

always appreciate the Mile Monsters shout out man 🤜🏻🤛🏻, adrenaline...it happens when you don't even know it. I wrecked my 04 doing some silly shit once and i thought i bruised my shoulder and got the air knocked out of me...I laid on the ground for a minute to catch my breath and was like "I'm good" My brother in Law and Son luckily had more sense and was like "uh, no" so i didn't want to argue and just got in my sons truck and let my Brother in law ride my bike home. By the time we got home (30 minutes later) I couldn't move my arm and i was like "damn, glad i wasn't on my bike" turns out I had broke my shoulder in 3 places, 5 broken ribs and crushed vertebrae. Once that adrenaline starts wearing off man...the injuries start showing up, lol. Sorry to hear about your buddy, hope he gets on the fast track

Thanks for watching my friend. Yeah adrenaline is a great thing until it goes away and the pain sets in. I’ve been lucky enough to only have one tumble on my first bike and I thought I was great… the bruises and sprain told me otherwise. Stay safe out there and thanks for all y’all do for the Heroes!

Yellow shirt is a whole step up from the bike shorts.... 😐 As a medical person that's been on scene for a couple accidents with injuries... Always get the ambulance, adrenaline & ego are a bad mix for a rider that's gone down, they can mask some serious issues... Hope your Bud is recovering well🙏 On another, more happy note😉 ... I installed the BT Moto Stage1 tune on the Wing and I posted the video, if you haven't seen it already.

Thanks for the advice. I really felt like the ambulance was the right call and I should have forced the issue. I haven’t seen your video but I will absolutely check it out. Thanks for the feedback and for watching!

That yellow shirt reminds me of Seinfeld's "Golden Boy"! I've only been down once in my life, "so far". It was back in my 20's and I was on a Kawasaki 650. An old man turned left in front of me, and I slammed on the brakes and ultimately went diving over the handlebars. I didn't even have a helmet or gloves on! The guy didn't even get a ticket! I had a date that night with one of the hottest women I ever dated, and we were to spend the night in a hotel with a hot tub. I had a big red cherry on my hip and stepping into that hot tub was brutal! Meanwhile, my bike was tied up in the shop for a month while they ordered parts, and I lost a lot of riding time with my girl. But I digress. I remember being so young and dumb that I didn't even get the guy's name or insurance info. I was just so stunned. I still have the newspaper column showing the police report from that day. But priority one is as you said - assessing the situation. Or wait - is it to check the damage to your beautiful bike? LMAO. No matter what the other party says, CALL THE POLICE. Do not trust the other party to have insurance or even give you a truthful phone number. Get their driver's license number and their plate number, make and year of vehicle, all the info you can. Note the time and location, weather, traffic, everything affecting the situation. Just took my Valk in to Honda yesterday to get all the fluids changed out, state inspection and HOPEFULLY they'll finally get the fog lamps on for me. I'm really excited about this. I can't think of much else I want on her and this will further enhance my visibility. Everyone in the shop was asking me about the Valk. They were really curious and impressed with it. The shop counter guy even remembered me by face and when he looked up, he said "Valkyrie, right?". I was impressed with his memory. And a couple guys were asking me about my Brake Free helmet light. They were saying they wanted to get one and had seen several guys using them around town. I haven't seen any others besides mine. There were no Gold Wings on the floor but they said they had a white and a black '24 coming. They also had a VTX 1300 like mine on the floor for only $2500. It needed a good cleaning. I was embarrassed how dirty the wheels were. It had a good bit of wear on it. Sorry about your friend. I know you feel guilty even though it wasn't your fault. Also sorry to hear you've been out of work that long! Hope you feel better soon. Tongue click and fingers pointed back atcha, bud!

Thanks Craig for the continued support and for the advice! Yeah it was a tough situation and I’m glad he wasn’t hurt any worse than he was. Hopefully you get your fog lights on your Valkyrie. They really are a game changer. Thanks as always my friend and be safe riding out there!

Hi Smitty and don't beat yourself up about leading the ride and your buddy having an accident !!! It wasn't your fault. Two he's a adult and if he didn't want to go to the hospital that isn't your call and by all rights you were right to suggest it but you can't force someone to go ! Later Brother
