We might have to retrain too, we just moved to a new house and area and it’s a huge change for our 20 month girl!

You're saving my life right now. My son was a wonderful sleeper until his 11 month sleep regression hit. I'm done losing sleep haha. Time to bite the bullet and retrain him to sleep on his own.

Hi. I have an 11 months old son. I slept trained (Ferber method) when he was 6 months. Then, he started teething and I of course made a mistake of coming in too often to check on him and eventually even holding him. Around 7.5 months he began to be needing my assistance. Kept teething. Then got sick. Now it got to the point he needs me for naps and at night he would not give up until I pick him up and let him fall asleep on me in the chair. Question: can I retrain him using the same method and at this age, should I expect a longer cry? He is standing up in the crib and is a very strong-will baby:). Thank you!!

What if your child has a cough? Do you wait for their cough to go away completly before re sleep training them?

Absolutely yes, wait until baby is 100% healthy and symptom free for 48 hours before starting any sleep training.
