Combining extreme evoboost with a baton pass is an actually decent strategy (if chancy, as eevee is so damn fragile...) Switching to magikarp in particular, though, is not that sound, but KO-ing your opponent by hitting them with a fish does have style.
Exactly! It's a special kind of disgusting person who asks this sort of question and is actually delusional enough to think it's a reasonable request. As if it's okay to ask people to sacrifice themselves just so you can get a false sense of superiority
@@dieabsolutegluckskuche5174 forfeit basically means to give up and end the game which would have meant temp would have lost. It can also mean to just leave the game and accept and defeat.
@@achaoticprince5114 Okay, I thought it has this meaning, but I wasn't sure because google translate showed me something astronomically different, although it had a checkmark... Thanks for your help, I appreciate it. Have a nice day:)
@@vinz5102 well if one's team is full of ubers you can't expect good strategy from them. Well since this is showdown, you know who uses full uber teams. XD
@@Xshade18 i mean yeah thats just probobly a kid who just discover the power of action replay XD . Have you battled one before cuz i have hes team is (primal kyogre and groudon. Mega raquaza. A shiny bidoof named god. And 2 arceus 1 elec type and other is ghost type.
@@vinz5102 yeah i battled a lot in oras using an emulator and internet lobbies, funny thing is that my first few battle teams consisted of full of legendaries lmao, Then i got wrecked by a ratata, i stopped using brute force and use more strategy now.
@@Xshade18 u know that there are ubers that run encore/taunt right? U can run a full ubers and deal with fear, and many setup strategies as long as you build your teams acknowledging those threats.
@@lucidnode frustration is unavoidable. Especially if you've worked hard to strategize and put up your own team. But these noobs probably just looked at meta teams and never actually bothered to even look at Bulbapedia, just guessing how moves and abilities worked. They don't know how to actually play, seeing how clueless are they about other kinds of strategies other than the common set up sweep.
Bold of you to assume that these people do any planning or fine tuning beyond 'jam six legendaries together with their best moves and win through sheer brute force'
I much more respect "cheesy" strats like these than people stacking their teams with Legendaries, turning their brains off while spamming strong moves and saying they're Jesus' second coming.
Yeah. I like to play anything goes and I use clefable with: cosmic power, moonlight, minimise and stored power. With a few turns of set up you can have some fun wiping entire teams. Also magic guard is its ability which is very helpgul
@@atsuya0938 Kinda hot too. Gen II had her in one of those black latex fishnet mini gowns you find on girls at the club. They nerfed it in Gen IV though. Also made her look older. Still a Karen in name only.
Late reply is late, but this comment really reminds me of the defunct webcomic “Manly Guys Doing Manly Things”, with a clueless first-time trainer literally bludgeoning basic Pokémon into submission with the aptly-named Mr Fish. You’ll thank me later.
Imagine asking someone to forfeit, and then fucking insulting them for not doing it. Like imagine being mad that people aren't going to give you the victory just because you asked nicely.
my sister did it to me last time played board game together a few weeks ago, I humiliated her. she swore to never play with me again. so far she hasen't spoke with me since then
karen mothers when their eldest son doesn't let the little shitstain of a little brother that probably deleted his save from his favorite game a few days ago win be like
To be fair this guy did have a whirlwinder, and you had to play around it. I'm glad not every sweep consists of the other guy spamming strong moves and praying that they kill.
@@tjonsmith6365 the insult is deserved Mrbeast just wanted to try out the game and realized he messed up and got humiliated for this This is toxic behavior af lmao at least he can respond with a joke but just going to humiliation What a piece of garbage would do I saw a few vid and i already hate this RU-vidr
@@drakehellstone208 the guy asked Temp to forfeit for him like a coward. And then he insults him afterwards because the noob just picked legendaries rather than getting to know the game. If you're going to be rude towards anyone, the MrBeast player deserves it.
I’m kinda good but also I freaking suck. I’m trying to make a Gen 4 Delcatty, Normalize centred team, but knowing me, I’ll forget that Oder Sleuth exists when adding an Arcanine to my team.
Imagine if someone sees that and told their friends. "And then he got beaten by a Magikarp! A fcking Magikarp! Hahhahahaha funniest sht I've ever seen!"
@@hardbasstank9481 It's much easier to stop than a weakness policy sweep. Banning baton pass because it might be hard to beat if you don't stop it is literally the same for every set up
@@BlueRedGooGoo I think it's more to do with needing specific tools to take it down rather than if it can be taken down in the first place. Going against BP requires phasing most of the time which, as demonstrated with whirlwind vs magic bounce natu here, only requires the pass team to account for it in order to keep going as normal. Yeah it has specific counters but if those counters are nullified then what?
I'm just amazed by these type of strats. Coz when I've played Emerald, I would just volve my Torchic to a Blaziken and just Double Kick my way go the League
I haven't played pokemon in a while so idk why it's happening but the guy getting his whirlwind bounced back at him **multiple times** was fucking hilarious
Very Impressive 👀. You used 3 Lines of Defense For This Battle : Status Protection (Magic Bounce), Barrier (Protect) and Immunity Effects (Substitute). Then You led the Boost Assault with Eevee and Baton Passed it to Magikarp For OHKOs.
This is why Ubers and Anything Goes are such garbage formats: people legitimately see a BATON PASS SPAM and root for them, because most people who play those formats just spam legendaries with no cohesion or strategy. Most respectable Pokemon Players would never touch a Baton Pass team with a 50' pole.
So basically Baton Pass is so meta that the team comp is irrelevant regardless. Im not into pokemon like that, thank you for pointing out the misleading video
@@thatch8537 Yeah, Baton Pass was banned from every competitive format, because it warps the entire format around having to answer it immediately. It’s just too easy to stack a few defensive buffs, then Baton Pass to a healthy Pokémon who then buffs Offensive stats and sweeps. It legitimately makes the game not fun.
The thing is the kids that are spamming legendaddies usually have no idea how they lost. They simply think Legendaddy am strongest. Most of them have useless movesets, garbage natures/IVs with no EV training or strategy. Pokémon has been busted since GEN 1 that's why we have class' and rule sets. It's to make it more fun. But if you wanna just dick around than go play anything goes.
Big brains like are why society still excites to this day. I love you sweeping an entire team of legendaries with baby pokemon and the one pokemon making all the pokemon fainting is a Magikarp! I love and I'm subbing Have a wonderful day

Lets remind our salty noob friend that hydro pump has 70 accuracy. So he could have kept his dignity by staying quiet but nope. He became good quality content.
Apparently 90% of people on showdown are absolutely entitled that they are the very best like no one ever was, and they all adopt a mindset that legendaries are unstoppable Their ego won’t let them lose against “horrible” teams that don’t have at least one legendary so they’re obligated to either beg the winner to forfeit, or insult them if they don’t, to at least gain *some* dopamine from their crushed ego
@@thecatastrophe132 The problem is more with AG, because that's where most kids go thinking they can win spamming legendaries instead of teambuilding. I don't see salty people at all on OU
We all have to start somewhere, and to be fair it isn’t really nice to say the other guy is a « noob » he is just a beginner and we should help beginners not trash talk them...
@@skulltothebone5003 True but if this guy was looking to talk trash then I don't think there's any helping him Maybe the public mocking will make him more humble
@@pureevil9496 and he wasn’t that rude like… he just got a little mad and said 2 things at the end cuz he lost to a Magicarpe, it’s not the end of the world (and tbh if you try to sweep people in AG with magicarpe… you probably are looking for salt anyway)
