In the history of #bollywood clashes that have happened over the years, they have always developed into becoming ego tussles between producers and actors. The infamous #srk vs Saawariya row, when #ajaydevgn challenged YRF, when #karanjohar and Ajay battled it out and when my favourite duo #hrithikroshan and Shahrukh Khan clashed for Raees and Kaabil, it has always been ugly! I think one should also mention how the clash between Padmaavat and Padman was avoided as Akshay chose to postpone his film to help Bhansali amid the controversies regarding the film. Even 1% of positivity should not go unnoticed.

No one wanted to release a movie with SRK at that time, the hype was insane. And salaar was also earlier releasing with jawan in June/july but obviously they postponed it after Pathan's success. But then Jawan was also delayed to September with salaar so they again postponed it and clashed with Dunki, an action drama against a drama comedy, Dunki wasn't a very good movie itself but due to SRK it gave a tough competition to Salaar.@@Antarasehgal

The Legend of Bhagat Singh was an awesome film. Last of the good films made by Santoshi. I remember reading the reviews of both the films in TOI and the Devgan starrer got 4 stars while Lord Bobby's film got 2 albeit he was praised for his performance but his vadda paaji was mocked for his rather caricature portrayal of Shaheed Chandrashekhar Azad.

I was a kid but I still remember the OSO, Sawariya clash due to a specific thing. Went to Sawariya for 1st day,1st show coz my dad wanted to watch SLB movie first. After coming out of the theatre, I said my dad, "Ye kaisi movie thi, puri movie raat main he shoot ki hai. Koi nahi kal OSO dekh lenge." 😆😆

Jigra was freaking amazing. I don’t even care if it’s a copy. Alia Bhatt, Manoj Pahwa, and Vedang were frickin' amazing. The cinematography and sibling love were beautifully shown. Saavi ,on the other hand, has Divya Khosla in it. I don't want to say anything more. She has zero acting skills. So, even if she bought the rights to a movie, she wouldn’t do that movie any justice. Jigra deserved better.

Sam Bahadur was not a well made movie IMO. Vicky Kaushal, though a tremendous actor, was delivering dialogues in a similar tone throughout the movie. It became irritating after half hour. He looked brilliant and all the credit goes to makeup dept.

This Bhagat Singh movies clash you mentioned, reminded me of Bala and Ujda Chaman clash from 2019 where theme of both the films were exact same. Later Udja Chaman preponed it's release one week. I remember a punchline from mensxp old famous honest reviews from that time, 'Bala waalo ki story Ujda Chaman ne rakh liye aur housefull 4 waalo ne gaana bana diye' lmao. 😭

The problem here is that unlike the US, India has limited multiple screen theatres. The US and European markets have multiplexes with upto 12 screens each, multiplexes for smaller independent films. So even if a Barbie and Oppenheimer open on the same weekend, both get more than sufficient screens. And the movies play for enough time to recover their money. India simply has multiplexes with limited screens and then atleast in that segment, it is a fight to grab those screens. And then it is simply hunger games for screens.

Chaava and pushpa 2 is the worst clash happening this year. Pushpa the rise makers also did takedown review videos of yogi bolta hai more than 2 times like Martin but nobody talks about that. If martin does it then everybody raised voice against it But nobody raised these concerns about pushpa makers. I remember watching on TV - An upset SRK walk out of the party and an enraged Salman wipe off sweat from his forhead... It was clear something very bad had happened.
