I feel like the reason for him changing so drastically is due to multiversal time dilation, so for universes like 1610B or 65B it was 15 months but for Miguel it could have been multiple years, so a bunch of chaotic events occurred in the time dilated universes while Miles and Gwen just finished 1 school year or something

I think its because they allowed Oscar Isaac to speak with his normal accent and he leaned into his more quieter, natural, sort of "solid snake" gruff. In the second one, suddenly he was coming in and out of a thick spanish accent, it sounded really forced and he definitely wasn't used to it, plus it doesn't help that Miguel was LIVID for almost the entire runtime in that movie.

It’s so sad that Miguel was once your average snarker with a heart of gold Spider-man and now he has to live with the deaths of billions on his shoulders just because he wanted to give a girl that had lost her family a home. I really wished Peter B. or Jessica forced him to take a few years off from being Spider-Man, because it would be *impossible* for anyone to think clearly with that amount of trauma and guilt warping their minds. If he’s just had someone during that awful time in his life , maybe he wouldn’t have ended up so obsessed with enforcing his “Canon Events” theory to give the tragedy he’s suffered a point.

Lyla and Miguel's dynamic felt so awkward in Across the Spider-Verse. Idk if it was just me, but him being so moody and brooding all the time just didn't feel natural while Lyla kept acting like she did here. It just felt wrong and I was really looking forward to how these two would interact, but it just ended up being a disappointment. Love the animation, though, it fills the Across the Spider-Verse shaped hole in my heart.
