Dear Victor, I have to say what great content. You have such a positive attitude and energy. And in contrast to other people you engage (C)LL in such a non-sensationalized, scientific, "casual" but yet informative way. You truly bring a pragmatic view on this topic. Props to you sir!
This video is incredible - love the graphics, chart and demos. Thank you for taking the time to explain the monthly progress in regard to being able to weight bear and walk normally again, Victor!
I recently had a limb lengthening surgery back in the end of August but I suffered a setback in the beginning October & I needed to get the nail removed so the surgeon could place a new nail in my left femur & this is good information for me because I had the surgery done twice & I have a long road to recover but I know I can do it
@@JonathanHernandez-dl8eb I’m Salvadorian American & I was born in Houston, Texas US & I live in Long Island, New York & I had the surgery in Hospital For Special Surgery in Manhattan, New York, US
Love your channel and all the valuable information you provide. I’m considering LL using precise within a few months time and your insight is a big factor Much love from 🇸🇦
Thank you I found this so helpful! I will undergo Fitbone surgery this month and will make a blog and videos to help others as there is so little info and feedback from other patients out there. All the best to you
If you gym guy and doing leg workouts for over a years and you decided to lengthening your legs After lengthening how much time it will take to workout as same as before a surgery
Hello Victor, tysm for coming ahead and talking specifically about limb lengthing matters. Further I wanted to say that to increase inches 3.5 inches helping many people but on other hand there are many people who wants to add atleast a foot to their height. Please put light on this. I really want some kind of research to be done in this area. After one year of study I too will try to focus on this area because I want an answer to my problem and I know it can be done. Please guide me through about the possibility to increase 12 inches that to with minimal invassive and less painful way. Thanks a lot
I'm 108 pounds 5'2 atm and am getting the precise 2.2 in spain. My LL doctor told me that it's pretty likely, not 100% though, that I'll go straight to using crutches for 2 months when the consolidation phase starts, so right after lengthening.
I can't find the answer for this anywhere. Does the bone heal as strong as it was before or does it have a weak point now? I'm interested because I'm into snowboarding and would never want to give it up, so I want to know if doing LL will affect that in the long-term?
Yup here ya go - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-SkKr39RU_bo.html. You'll be fine in the long term too if done safely - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-yqVxTCMjuVo.html.
Let's say I do precise 2 on my femur to gain 8 cm, I'm going to stay in Turkey for 3 months for the rehabilitation, does this mean I'm going back to my hometown with a walker to be able to walk? And it will take me 7-9 months in total to be able to walk again? Also can you please speak about the 2nd surgery for removal? When is the 2nd surgery required? After 1 year? (assuming I did precise 2)
One question that bothers me a lot. What are the side effects in a long term?? That when you get older, you might lose mobility in your legs with instability & pain
Dr. Giotikas spoke about it briefly in his interview. What more do you want to know? It twist-clicks to lengthen and can handle a lot of weight. Plus, no more direct free promos for nails. I mean look at NuVasive…they’ve made a fortune off me! 🤣
Hello Victor, is it biomechanics that your body start walking normally again or you need to retrain the body to walk normally with PT? Thanks in advance.
Mostly PT. When was your surgery? Which bones did you do and how much did you lengthen? Also, I have a new service coming out with virtual PT that will actually teach you how to do this faster. Should be launched in next 2-3 weeks. But much of it can be attained sooner
Got my surgery done on tibia in april. Fixaters were removed in july. I still can't walk normal after 4 and half months. My bones consolidation is very slow and Achilles is so tight. You can't do much when bones are broken. I have swelling on both legs when i do stretching it gets worse and come back to some point where i started stretching. Also swelling makes legs bigger so because of stiffness you will feel joint pain. So think 50 times and ask patients 100 times before tibia surgery.
@@williamhleza1995 i can walk without crunches but my calfs are always swollen and walk is painful. if you want to do the femurs not the tibia. And don't go to turkey. Greece is a good option, one of my friend got femurs done in Greece he had no issues.
Dear Victor, what is your opinion on patients who say their walk hasn’t returned to normal, 1-2 years post-op? Is their gait permanently altered? Thank you.
Hmmm yeah seems they either didn't do their physical therapy or possibly they did over lengthen and yeah things could be affected unless they get a soft-tissue release
Hey Vic, can doc's prescribe strongest painkillers if you are reliable? I'm wondering since I want minimal discomfort in this aspect (I still am wanna give 100% of myself in physio)
Sure so the pain meds they prescribe typically range from potent (narcotics) to standard (Tylenol) and sometimes muscle relaxers etc. These surgeons deal with severe trauma cases so they're really good at helping patients manage their pain after LL.
Dear Victor, I'm a quadrilateral patient in the middle of distraction phase. I currently weight 96lb. Does it mean that I can walk around with a walker since I'm less than 100lb?
Any tips on walking normal sooner with LON on femors. I did 7cm and is about 8 months in but i have a werid limp / waddle its getting better but any excercise you know off.
Your anatomical structure and biomechanics will be different but after enough recovery time the body can adapt and you should be able to do the same things as before
Also please make some few groups where solutions can be shared or healthy interaction can be done. Please connect people of different fields which might be helpful in new researches.
@@Cyborg4Life sir you have a very good style of speaking and deserve more subscribers but your content is restricted to some people. Broden your content.love your way of speaking
Yeah you can but most would just do one to avoid time ti takes to recover, money and potential risk. 6cm on femurs isn't extreme and proportions are usually maintained decently

Hello there and I understand. Yeah there are plenty of good surgeons. Perhaps you can email me directly and I can help direct you in the right direction
Hi Victor, I like your video content bit I have sent in several questions and you have not once replied, which is disappointing . I guess I will just call the centre in Montreal myself and start the process by asking these questions there since you are too busy or not interested in questions from Canada.
Hello there Kenneth, so sorry for the delay. I have been really busy doing a project on the backend. Can you reply to this with all of your questions and I’ll answer them for you or if you want to email me directly that would be best. Thanks and sorry again.
@@Cyborg4Life Hello Victor, Thank you for the reply. Where do I find your email address so I can send questions and get replies? Im not on social media. Thanks Kenneth
@@Cyborg4Life yea because they didn’t add specific like paying for pain killer, staying in their hotel and usually increase in height for both the femur and tibia.
@@FearGod101 Oh I see. Yeah I'm not even 100% sure of every LL clinic's exact price as it is always changing depending on service or device offered. The most accurate way is to reach out and inquire. If I made a video on this it would need to be updated so frequently but perhaps on an upcoming patient roundtable we can discuss this also
Not mine but I only did 4cm tibia. Others are fine too. It's those who haven't rehabbed well who have problems. My walk is not perfect for other reasons related to my discrepancy
