Mancini took the club a step fwd but he had an unattractive arrogance about him that grated on me. I remember we just docked Spurs 1-5 and they scored a goal and after the match when asked about the game, his first thought was being pissed off we let a goal in. City had not been hammering top 4 rivals like this ever. Ok the 5-1 against United way back when but these kind of scores were new to us and they were to be enjoyed and celebrated, not criticised. Best thing that ever happened was him getting sacked immediately after losing the FA Cup final.

The whole thing was Mancini fault. His arrogance kicked the whole thing off that night and I’ll explain why. We were smashing everyone in the league at that point and the press conference for the Bayern game was happening and Dzeko is sitting there with Mancini like a fucking enforcer, kinda being the big I am. Remember he was fresh off 4 goals against Spurs a few weeks earlier. So back to point, We we’re expected to go to Munich and boss Bayern but what happened was that we were given a lesson in the finer details of football. Bayern we’re all over us and it wasn’t even close. Mancini was getting his ass handed to him by a superior tactical group and Dzeko was absolutely null and void. Mancini hooks him and Dzeko starts on Mancini, Mancini goes in hard back as a coach would. Meanwhile Tevez as Mics is saying has been warming up for ages and not yet sent on so he sits down, by this time, Mancini is seething from his verbals with Dzeko, starts on tevez, now remember trouble had been brewing between Mancini and Tevez since the season before so the relationship was already frayed long before Munich and it only need this to explode and explode it did. Mancini started berating Tevez for not continuing to warm up and Tevez just said fuck you and fuck off. Mancini had been taking digs at Tevez in the media when Tevez wanted to leave but no one was willing to pay city’s valuation of 50 mil so he was still with us at the beginning of this new 11/12 season and when asked about it, Mancini said to the media, no one wanted him. He was also giving Balotelli preferential treatment when he did not deserve it. I love balo but let’s be honest, he was more than a handful. My view is that Tevez kept Mancini in a job for longer than he should’ve been the manager of city. Tevez was carrying city and Mancini since day one and Mancini was so arrogant to be able to accept that. A season later, it all came back to get Mancini. Video’s fights aired all around the world with Balotelli at training. He stunk the whole joint out tbh and the icing on the cake, Wigan had just been relegated yet they found themselves in the FA cup final against us and played us off the park that day. I’d never seen us more disjointed than that day at Wembley. I was there and it had a shit energy about it and from about 5 mins in, I knew we were going to lose. So, there you have it. Those players won that league title, we had a deeper squad than anyone else, is less Mancini and more quality squad depth.

@@nuno_alex505 that is a fair point but Mancini was a prick and that night exposed him as just that. If it wasn’t for tevez, Mancini would’ve been gone at the end of his first season, the half season he had when Hughes was sacked. I believe Tevez had taken offence to not being named in the starting line up prior to that fixture vs Bayern. City wanted success in European competition and CT found it to be disrespectful that he wasn't considered in Mancini's first 11. He was i believe being left out alot in matches leading up to this fall out. The score was 0-2 to Munich and Tevez must have been thinking, "what, you need me now boss do you?" Original Scarface sh%* - sometimes you gotta stand up for yourself. Against the opinions of the experts and masses. even if ultimately you know it will make your own personal situation much more difficult. A battle for respect. Tevez should have stayed at united (the fault of fergie for not acting on extending his stay and one of very few major mistakes sir Alex ever made during his tenure. I have no idea why he didn't try or want to keep tevez. He was steadily becoming a huge asset for us and learned our ways of ayi f and winning yet when it came to a renual of his contract not only did he not jump on it but appeared to not really care or want him and to this day doesn't make sense to me. Seriously during 07-09 we had arguably the greatest front 3 in the world along side Barcelona yet fergie allowed tevez to feel unwanted and annoyed and ultimately became the basis of his decision to join the enemy) Tevez xould have become one of our attacking icons. Once Ronaldo left we could have still had rooney and tevez up front thats still an elite option but to this day the very few blunders fergie ever made was clear as day and still makes no logical sense. I hate that he not only joined city but wad allowed to do so. I'm just glad tevez ultimately allowed his own bad attitude and lack of giving a damn sealed his fate at city and towards the end caused them on and off field dramas which dampened his legacy at city due to his aggressive and provocative self centred personality. PHENOMENAL PLAYER on his day though. Work horse and the perfect partner for the likes of Rooney and Ronaldo. A front 3 of Berbatov - Rooney - Tevez Would have been a wonderful thing to have witnessed for an extended amount of time but unfortunately we never got to see that for a solid period of time.

@@markcraciun3928 putting a player on the bench isn't disrespect, no one has a divine right to play every game for every manager playing every style, Tevez was told to warm up multiple times in a game he wasn't likely to play, the world would have folded if that happened to Ronaldo
@markcraciun3928

@@isahibrahim7414 Ronaldo was warming up when he chose to leave with 3 minutes before the final whistle. It was the second time at least. That's what the live TV showed. But I think if we put the worm up from the first half it should be 3 at least. I saw the live match and it was a disgrace. Imagine calling Messi to warm up multiple times, and see the minutes go, all cameras on him, another player enters the pitch with you still standing there just because a man who just came to the club wants to make an example out of you. Shameful.

Sometimes these managers are like little brats , remember Sarri when Kepa didn’t want to come out (Kepa purposely faked an injury to burn time ) Sarri started throwing a tantrum even ran to the locker room lol wtf , childish

Sarri was right to get mad at Kepa. He was trying to sub on Caballero an ex city player and expert penalty stopper when the match was about to go into penalties. Kepa's hard head possibly cost us the match.
@TheWPhilosopher
@TheWPhilosopher 11 месяцев назад
That's entirely different as stated below he wanted Caballero down for the psychological aspect and it isn't a case of seeing someone doing something and then refusing to believe them and getting them to do it again anyway. It would also I'm sure have been discussed beforehand so would have been a plan Kepa would know and by refusing in a way far bigger than Tevez really undermined the manager. In that situation he should have gone off and discussed it behind the scenes for the future.
