Funniest thing about Rina being behind Anby has to be the fact that Rina is actually a long-range fighter. At some point she must have figured the Cunning Hares weren't enemies and decided it would be the funniest shit to float behind Anby for that jumpscare.
Ellen's blade was a test to see who the strongest/best fighter was among them. Anby was the one who reacted, so Rina knew that if they were going to fight, Anby should be the one taken out first.
@@hex8881 shark monster girl SPOILERS . . . . . . . . . . . . there is an actual vampire coming for victoria too and we dont know if the cat guy is from there too
ZZZ is really making use of the fact that both story cutscenes and action benefit from making sure the animation team can do their best work. all the resources that don't have to go into open world can go into story and action instead
@@ViktorAl-o9z dude i did say it didnt go well for everyone . Thats litterally not speaking for everyone. Go touch some grass. You are the one who needs luck in life crying like this
I love how Lycaon is like the dad, Rina the mom, Corin the younger sister and Ellen is the older sister. It's just such a good dynamic that even though they have their own families, they care for each other like they are a family. Like when Ellen fainted, Rina was there to hold her and comfort her and she told Corin to look after her until she wakes up. It's just so cute.
I've overheard Ellen on a payphone asking Lycaon to attend a parent-teacher conference at her school; her "get a grade exactly high enough to minimize both studying and hassling from authorities" approach isn't tuned well enough yet. (Apparently he'd charge, she can't afford his rates, and had to settle for Rina.)
From what I heard, they allowed the team to be way more experimental with the character design. That’s why there’s so many different shapes and sizes. Ben, Billy, Lycoan, the feet marketing for Grace They’re testing the market to see if more exotic designs are viable. Considering the Lycoan thirst, expect to see more exotic designs in GI and HSR
@@Menukiand it's a good business model on their part. They basically does the "sex sell" motto on a different scale! They've got sexy androids (Billy and the future android diva), buffed out guys/gals (Anton and Nicole), the basic bitch (Soldier 11 and Anby), furry baits (Lycaon and Ben), Legal lolis (Kaneda and Lucy), Scary Mommies (Grace and Yuan), demi-humans (Ellen), etc... They're catering to every taste on the market. Talk about diversity! And the fact it's just a "side dish" to their story telling is peak.
@@zacksilverstone7642 keep in mind that Hoyo doesn’t have use pulling on jpegs and a sprite. It’s a fully animated 3D model with mostly unique attacks and gestures. GI has 3 sizes of female and 2 males….everything fits on one of those skeletons. When you have to build unique skeletons from the ground up, it get even more expensive. It’s a lot to invest on what could be a Dehya banner. With the launch of a new game you have the newness on your side to help loosen ppl up to the idea.
Honestly, the frightened look on Anby's face really puts into perspective how terrifying Rina is. The fact that she was like "OH CRAP" really shows how Anby must see her failure to detect Rina as a major blunder on her part
And Anby was definitely on to something during the exploration. But was unable to fully confirm it. Still the fact Rina was that close and Anby only realized it at that moment says two things. 1. Anby's perception is definitely heightened. 2. But Rina's capability to get that close even despite that. Just shows how much better she is in comparison.
@@dinnerboons1504 I mean. Yeah. They ARE just a group of hollow raiders who have bad spending habits, are dorks in many ways and only one of em seemingly has their shit together. And she's a movie nut. They are the most normal of all the groups. And that's not saying much xD
@@dinnerboons1504 Thats kinda the point. They're the underdog/newcomer group compared to everyone else being so much better established. They're the ragtag gang of rejects/leavers from other groups. It could be interpreted like that. It could also be that he was curious(and scared and wanted to make sure) if it was them since rarely have they been stalked by ethereals since they are kinda like savages to an extent...
It really introduced the character’s dynamics of the group in a short and simple way. Lycaon had enough time to be intimidating imo. Then he got hit with the: “I’m the dad of this group” energy and it was perfect.

Characters are objectively best in Zenless out of all hoyoverse games. Giving crack to their animation team and unsupervised workspace really squeezed out the goods out of the characters and i am here for it
I genuinely think this is one of the best cutscene they have in hoyoverse games (except Honkai Impact 3rd because I don't play it, can't judge) right now. In Genshin, there's very little (if there's even any) cutscene that doesn't focus on action but rather the build-up of the characters themselves. Yes we got a lot of great-looking battle cutscenes and I really love them, but if it's taken out of context, all of its content becomes almost meaningless because the cutscene doesn't rely in itself. Not to mention that if Genshin does this kind of introduction to characters, they would NEVER make a cutscene, that's for sure. In HSR, sometimes we get good cutscenes to introduce certain characters or world-building like for exanple when we get into the train for the first time. It doesn't rely to great looking visuals for people to immerse, but when we got cutscenes like this, it's just too short. ZZZ extends it, and the characters' tropes are really spot on compared to HSR. All 3 games are good though.
As a honkai impact veteran I think there is almost no non action cutscenes but what I don't know if the animated shorts considered as a cutscenes but I think it is but it's always on end of an arc If you want an example of a non action cutscene I recommend you watch "da capo" to us hi3 players this is one of the saddest and happy ending of the game
ZZZ does very well to flesh out characters but what it makes that different than other hoyo titles is how well they show us that through cutscenes like this and interactions!!!
Ironically the action cutscenes in Genshin bore me so much lmao, like I wanna hear the characters talk about being characters, not watch a Michael Bay movie 😭
A surprising amount of stealth is simple opportunism combined with luck. (And of course as with any form of gambling, stopping before the latter runs out.)
Agreed, this is the first we see this happens in the game, so this wouldn't surprise me that she will become very conscious of her combat capabilities after that!
I kinda wish the gacha nature of the game didn't spoil your interactions with all the characters so early. Especially when ZZZ actually does a very good job of teasing and foreshadowing the characters ahead of time before you meet them, like making them playable earlier in the story before being formally introduced or seeing them run errands in the hub world.
I call BS on Rina being able to sneak up on Anby, and especially Nekomata. No matter how ghosty you are, whiskers are a HUD cheat code that enable permanent UAV tracking.
Rina floats and fights with Electromagnetism in the same way Magneto does, if we assume her "lore wise" abilities can be taken to the anime extreme then it's "*possible*" that she could bend light around her, EVERYTHING has some level of magnetic force affecting it so if we assume her tech is that precise (which if ANY faction is going to have the resources for something like that, it's these guys) then...
@@blustar5438 Nekomata is one thing but Fairy being completely digital means it's possible she couldn't even see Rina because "magnets" and anime powers
@dracotias Whiskers are meant to detect changes in air currents, or in other words literally anything that moves the air. On top of this, cats have the largest hearing range of any mammal, and they're smaller than Nekomata. Nekomata should not only be able to detect Rina movement, and her puppets', but should be able to hear them breathing, unless you wish to tell me she doesn't. And Nekomata should be able to smell Rina, given that Cats have a much stronger sense of smell than humans. You could argue Nekomata is a Thiren, not a literal cat, and it's for story purposes, but I still find it incredibly restarted.
Zzz is the only game in hoyoverse of which I actually feel like I want to do the story missions, they have expressions and everything, Genshin is just the worst one out of all when it comes to making going through the story entertaining, with hsr close second, hi3 3rd, tot 4th, imo
@@Nebs0707 Oh yes, the story is GOOD, but! I don't personally enjoy watching characters just standing there without any expressions while reading excessively long dialouge, I find it boring, especially as someone who isn't super invested in story missions and rather watch some recaps on youtube instead, but I respect everybodys opinions!
@@Santusknowsyourlocation I’ve noticed they tend to make March 7th, Yanqing, Yunli, Dan Heng at times and Trailblazer the most expressive more often than not, although Dan Heng doesn’t have a vast array of emotions

Agreed, I think she was actually the intended one given how expressive she is and how expressive Eous is in cutscenes If something happens down the line and only one survives, I want it to be Belle no harm to Wise, at times he gives off potential mastermind villain vibes and other times he gives off potential sociopath brother vibes, I feel like he would do anything to protect Belle at this moment and time, dunno what he’d do without her to keep him grounded
It's a shame this chapter takes so long to reach... hoyo really needs to stop all the time gating, or watering down the difficulty to appeal non-gamers.
