Interesting video Miss Jo Moon. People cheat because they think it’s exciting. Of course I have been tempted but so far have resisted. A good marriage is two people working hard full time to make it work. Keep your marriage exciting and resist temptation. You will have a much happier life.
The wife in this story is a doormat. She's been cheated on for years and done nothing about it. I'm disgusted that she would just sit back and take it. This video is a reminder that we should never put up with being cheated on.

Hi Jo! Another fine video. As usual, you covered it nicely from multiple perspectives. I have to say though, that when it comes to infidelity, lived experience has taught me to never believe what women say. I don't think people ever tell the full truth when answering questions on fidelity. Makes sense, too. Women control access to sax, after all. At least in the US, my lived experience has been that women cheat far more often than men. Across my relatives, friends and acquaintances (all very highly educated), far more women than men have been unfaithful. Often the men have stayed, because the cost of getting a divorce in the US is catastrophic for men. You will almost definitely lose the kids, the home, pay child support, and still pay "spousal support." In some states, you pay "spousal support" for life, even though she works and can be dating as much as she wants. As long as she does not remarry, you have to pay her "spousal support". The persistent narrative that men are the ones who cheat is funny to me.🙂I don't think it's even close, but the discretion of women is the stuff of legend. 😉
@@JoMoon Oh no, Jo, not anger at all. 🙂Just observation. At the end of the day, you said it exactly right: it is a choice people make; the rest is just excuses. My only real disagreement is that in my lived experience, the persistent narrative of men being the rampant cheaters is, at least in the US and where I grew up in West Africa, not exactly true. I am familiar with many more stories of women cheating than the other way. I know it is anecdotal. But honestly, Jo: would you say women are honest when they answer questions about fidelity? Like, 100% honest?🤔🙂
5:40 Ha! That's what I noticed from my time teaching adults in Shenzhen. A lot of the beauties are from Sichuan, Hubei, and Hunan. I'm glad to hear someone else say it, too.

You hit the nail on the head regarding why women may cheat: exhaustion. I see such in one woman I know. I don't know if she has ever cheated, but the exhaustion is so obvious.

Crazy how common affairs are in Asian countries and how many people essentially accept them so long as the cheater doesn't get caught and embarrass them.

Will a Chinese girl ever be resentful of her parents if the marriage ends in divorce? For example, let's just say a Chinese girl was pressured into marrying someone she wasn't interested in but married him anyway to please her parents. Also she was pressured to have a baby with him as well. Years later, the husband cheats on her and she files for divorce. Will the Chinese girl hold any anger or resentment towards her parents for making her go through that ordeal?

First, I don’t think this epidemic of cheating is unique to China, just look at the divorce rate in the US. To me, cheating is when lust overcomes restraint. I think anyone can be tempted, but hopefully what we’ve learned in our past is that the fantasy of temptations has to be constrained by whatever you want to call it, morals, laws, religion, etc. there is an old saying that a man isn’t old till he stops looking, so men fantasize that we are still the young virile stud we used to be. All of us need our ego stroked now and again to convince us how cool we are, but if you are willing to risk losing your family because you act on the temptations, then I think you need to take a long look at yourself. Jo when people turn to God he can help them with their addictions. One of the worst I had was cigarette smoking. In 1995 he took it from me when I pleaded for help. I have not had an addiction since then to a cigarette. God can deliver anyone from it. It all begins with faith by praying to Him for help. You have to be 100% committed to Him in order for Him to move in your life. This is what is meant by totally committed to him. God Bless!
People should just mind their own business. All the talk about " morals " never changes anything about human behaviour. So stop passing judgement based on our own egos.
Old saying, basically man die for her hole, woman die for gold. True and reciprocated love is rare in this era. Materialistic and basking in attention and admirations, especially of pretty women is like a trend. Cost of living also exacerbate the choice of single freedom. Perversely, I suspect many wives secretly want a husband who cheats. It reassures her that he’s still attractive to other women and so she knows she still has a man of value. If the wife isn’t into sex anymore, it means it’s no longer her problem. Finally, it means she can have an affair herself without feeling guilty or alternatively start divorce proceedings.
