The fact comedians nowadays have to explain to everyone it’s just a fuckin joke, breaks my heart. If you’re easily offended, you have no business in a comedy show in the first place.
That Comedian guy at 9:46 had me crying with laughter, VERY rare if at all any stand up comedian can do that to me. Taking the piss out of that Cart Girl was hilarious, taking the piss out of people is the backbone of comedy, you have to do it, it's what gets laughs.
When you lose a sense (sight, smell, etc) your other sense highten to compensate. That's why people with no sense of humor have a heightened sense of self-importance.
@@CouncilOfTh1rteen Remember when it meant to be aware of how media and government lies/influences? Thats still such an important concept I never see people talk about anymore. I wonder if that's what said media/government wants...
The term "woke" originally meant being aware of social injustices, especially racial inequality. However, its meaning shifted as it was increasingly adopted by politicians, activists, celebrities, and members of the upper and middle classes who wanted to signal their virtue. Many of these individuals didn’t have direct connections with the communities they claimed to defend but chose to express outrage or offense on their behalf. This performative display of righteousness - often called virtue signalling - led to "woke" becoming associated with people posturing as morally superior, while lacking genuine involvement or understanding of the issues they claimed to champion. Consequently, the term is now often used pejoratively to criticise what some see as empty, performative activism.
i've probably easily watched 10x more of Steve Hofstetter's heckler videos than his actual stand-up sets..lol his comedy is great for sure, but the way he just CUJO-CHEWS into the soul of his hecklers is priceless :)
It's crazy that a comic has to discipline his audience for being disruptive. I have the same problems as a school teacher. The club management should immediately remove anybody who shouts at the comedian. I wish I had the same support at school.
We've got very different ideas of what woke means. I'm pretty sure it's supposed to be used to describe a person who is staying aware of issues of social justice. Sammy Obeid shows he's fully aware of the issues. Steve Hofstetter demonstrates a clear awareness of the experiences of people with various struggles including trans women. The hecklers were humorless, drunk, self-centred assholes.
These sad sacks of sh1t will never understand the words they throw around thinking it's an insult. They're too busy kissing the boots of the grifter in chief. Steve rocks.

@@jamesjames9193 Thank you. I pretty much knew that but you explained it very clearly. I'm still not happy with it. In my mind, the people who use it to criticise people's activism are doing more damage than good. I'd rather have performative activism than active inconsiderate discrimination. Lots of people who use woke as an insult are using it to promote regressive ideas or dismiss progressive ideas.
Whenever I watch videos like these, I can’t help but think of Michael Richards and how he responded to a heckler in the worst, most career-destroying way possible. It was like a kamikaze move, completely self-destructive, taking down both the heckler and himself.
People going to a comedy show to laugh and instead getting offended and think they have the right to complain out loud and crying about it to be heard and have no shame about what they say when they should instead
No they are not. You’re either male or female. They are still genetically males. Period. This isn’t even a debate. It’s simple genetics. Not rocket science.
I love comedy and comedians and there’s nothing worse having an emotional & irrational crowd member that ruins it for everyone else & it is brutally annoying and frustrating, why do they come?!?! That said, Akash Singh did not handle it well, he never does, he’s not funny and is an as@$ole with put downs as his only means of dealing with hecklers & he carries it on for way too long making everyone else uncomfortable when he should just shut her down and move on, I just don’t find him funny on a good day and I’m all comedy all the time and I am never one to take jokes personally or make a stink, I laugh with the best of them! Otherwise most of these guys did a great job handling the annoying Karen’s & Karl’s that shouldn’t even be there in the first place😅✌️
Woke hecklers?.. I don't think you can call a person heckling Steve Hofstetter woke... Steve is the definition of woke!! Learn what words mean before using them.
@@dracud That would be HIS point. It means nothing to anyone other than those who think it defines a group of people they disagree with. Ergo, it's a load of bollocks.
Literally none of these hecklers came across as “woke.” Most of these comedians displayed are known to be “woke.” So it’s just hecklers being hecklers or drunk people interrupting. Do you know what “woke” even means? Also you said Sammy Obeid’s last name wrong but that’s forgivable
The audacity to open your mouth and heckle a comedian!?! I don’t even want to understand the level of stupidity. Honestly, if you get easily offended, don’t have thick skin and need a box of tissues. Don’t ever go to a comedy show. Comedian will make fun of EVERYTHING and EVERYONE, period. 😅🤷🏻♀️
I am not pro-choice, I am very much anti-abortion. With that said, however, I feel like that comedian that had the lady interrupt his abortion joke had a very valid point and that's how I see how this world should view abortion. Because I know that The world is not going to favor what I believe and 100% be on board with getting rid of abortion. I'm a realist I understand that that's not how the world works, so using it as a last resort and respecting yourself enough to seek other alternatives whether it's abstaining from sex or in horrible situations like grape seacoat things like adoption and you know there's all kinds of stuff. Again I understand the world's not going to take my side on this but if we respected what abortion really is and the outcome is a boarding the potential of a life then they'd be less chaos that the word alone. I really respect his stance and his word choice with the whole topic. I hope I too haven't offended anybody
To many kids already needing adoption don't get it. It's not a simple thing and probably choice is the humane logicaly and best option. You don't understand how taxing just giving birth and carrying a baby can be, how you feeling after a kid gets adopted out or even the psychological effects it has on woman who gets it. It's the ones who constantly get abortions after abortions something needs to be done about weather it's to save them from a hidden nasty situation or to stop them doing what they are doing. And we all know the type of people I mean everyone dislikes those ones. So why focus on pro life or not, make it pro choice and figure out a way to stop these people who use abortions like condoms
@lesleyscott938 No they are not. You’re either male or female. They are still genetically males. Period. This isn’t even a debate. It’s simple genetics. Not rocket science.
Yes. Freedom of speech exists, and I love it. But, also, you're responsible for what you say. Don't say shitty things if you aren't prepared to get punched in the face.
Video 1 How is criticizing the economy and large families anti-woke?? The heckler seemed like the anti-woke one. Looks like you are choosing to side with winners even when you contradict yourself. You label what you dont like as woke. You are very CONfused.
Anyone who saw this pop up and is excited about pwning the woke should know these comedians are also extremely "woke". You got fooled into cheering for woke comics.
There was nothing woke about the last woman, and pronouns weren't mentioned, this was largely just people taking jokes personally, but I guess you've figured out what gets you clicks. If anything this just demonstrates that there is no consensus on what the word means.
you can change a name 100x to something you don't like but the meaning will always be the same example, Hate can be changed to disliked but then disliked would just mean hate so nothing changed. try to rap your head around that & think
lol the hecklers said nothing involving wokeness. LOL Each of these videos is just another proof that these people have no idea what Woke means. Keep up the clownshow Ring masters, we love to see it.
These hecklers aren't "woke" (I doubt you could even define "woke"). They are all LEFT wing comedians responding to RIGHT wing hecklers. HARD left comedians. And you think this is anti-woke? You're your own punchline.
I'm pro choice, but the decision to get an abortion should be a decision between both parties, unless there is domestic violence. Ladies, if you are in a good relationship, conversation is acceptable.
Yep. It's lazy AF. Also, trans jokes are basically airline food jokes at this stage. Rob Schneider level. And the right-wing are such babies. They will lose their shit if you joke about the size Trump's hands or something, but thst is also airline food humour now. They all support free speech and the right to offend until they get offended and suddenly, it's all disgusting, disrespectful and unnecessary and "just not funny".
