I have high end pc that can run almost every game on high settings, but still i play C.S. 1.6 5-8 hours a day. This game will never die, and we can say THIS IS BEST GAME EVER MADE

I just want to make the point, that CS 1.6 is the purest form of counter strike, and the game we should be playing. With the computers we have today, this game can be exceptionally smooth, and stable compared to csgo. It's also the core, barebones no bullshit counter strike. I actually prefer the look of this game to most modern day shooters that attempt (poorly) to look as real as possible. Why not make games with low cost polygon graphics, but make the games extremely high quality, and stable (1000 fps is a possibility)

Sure it only resulted in 2 kills, not nearly as round-defining as a squad of four being tagged at once from one unchecked corner but seriously, he literally hopped on top of this poor bastard's head and _walked over him to the opposite side_ in order to not only stay in the dude's blind spot, but also better cover the additional angle said poor bastard's remaining allies were likely to approach from. So much memories in CS1.6.. Although I’ve shifted to mobile gaming Free Fire after turning 20s, but whenever someone asks me, “ how did you learn to play shooting games?” My most deepest respond is definitely CS1.6. Back in those days when smartphones had just started, most of my classmates still hope to play CS1.6 during computer class. LOL

I was playing competitive cs 1.6 back in the days and my style was synonymous with holding the trigger, still is to this day :).

This game , and the lord of the rings marathon , bob marley's music , and some other things all are on the same league in a sense to me as they've all left that same surreal joyful mark on me , made me live some really really precious moments I'll never forget.. That's why what some people don't understand is not what a thing is or what what it looks like or capable of , if you see someone liking something ask them WHY they do so , because as humble as that thing might be it could mean the world to that person.. That's why CS 1.6 , as cheesy as this might sound I will forever be grateful for a world of joy and laughter you made me feel and live through along with precious people that some of them went away , some died , some lost their minds , some just changed... Such is life , but will forever check you out whenever I wanna feel like the kid me again

nov 2020 here, and cs 1.6 is still hella alive and kicking

The movement may look janky, but the way the character move is so ahead of their time. I remember thinking how next level the characters just move their torso only if i slowly aim left or right and how the legs and the torso are seperate when walking and aiming
