There's a play in there where Keyshawn makes a catch and they're talking about how big and hard to bring down he is, then Woodson hits him and knocks him off his feet like he's 170 pounds. He was unusually fast for his size, a great tackler, and great in coverage. Great at all aspects of strong safety. The prototype.
Hmm, the 90's or the 80's. The 80's, watching my Broncos get slaughtered in 3 super bowls. The 90's, watching my Broncos win back to back super bowls. Wow, that's a hard one.
didn't he first call himself prime time? I'm not sure what Sanders was better at, sports or marketing. Elite athelete, but possibly even better (self) promoter. And recently you might have to add coach to the mix though he hasn't yet reached the success in coaching he has in playing (or marketing) but he's shown he's good at it.
I remember watching this game and the commentators said the coaches should not match Keyshawn up with Deion. 24 years later hearing it again in this video.
Not sure what is wrong with lining up your best player on the best corner. If you want to be great, line em up. Cannot coach height. Keyshawn was willing to take those hits and go over the middle. The best WR the Jets have had since. Garrett Wilson has potential. But he hasn't had the competent QB to max that potential. Keyshawn at least had that.
Thanks for uploading this! My mom took me to see this game as a kid since I was a big JETS fan. I wore my Keyshawn jersey and boy, was I heckled. I was so glad we won the game however my mom was ready for us to get the hell out of there after seeing all of the disgruntled fans looking at me after our victory. Thanks mom😎✌🏽
7 mins just to see the Jets lineup Keyshawn everywhere but against Prime. Prime had an encroachment on the first lineup with him. Prime forced a fumble the next time they met.
That and not getting into it with big names like Sapp and Gruden. Low key he's a lot better than people think if you take into account context and analytics, but if you're viewed unfavorably in the public eye they're going to turn an eye on that
Ray Lucas was 1 of my favourite ex 🐬 QB’s after the Marino era & After Fieldler, Tannerhill, Brian Greise, Moore, Henne, Pennington, Culpepper, Cutler, Cleo Lemon, Beck, Feeley, Pat White, Ferrotte, Huard
Bruh what's wrong with these MFs in the comments talking about KJ avoided Deion..After the offense comes out the huddle THEY LINE UP ACCORDING to the playcall..
He never lined up against Deion. He would have gotten nothing that day just like all the other receivers back then did. The one time he got tackled by Deion he fumbled the ball.
That Jets team had some talent on offense. Key, Chrebet, Curtis Martin. I think Mawae was an All Pro C back then as well. Crazy they still have the QB problems today that they had back then.
Losing a qb can have a serious affect. Look at the raiders, panthers, skins, cardinals,Texans, colts, jets, patriots just to name a few. One bad pick can cost you years. SF got lucky with Purdy.
@@itsascaryworld9788 true, and no matter where the Jets take them they seem to not pan out. Early 1st, mid 1st, late 1st. 2nd, 3rd, 4th. Doesn’t matter. At this point I think their best shot is somehow getting the 1st overall in one of these “can’t miss” draft years, like Peyton, Luck, Lawrence(they were one pointless late win away from actually drafting him IIRC). Looks like Caleb Williams might be that type of prospect as well.
I know alot of people did not get to see deion but deion was that MF ok. meaning he was a beast MF, one of the top 5 players of all time. he was that dominant.
People saying Deon can't tackle...that's like saying Ray Lewis can't catch....both are in the H.O.F. for what they did best...not for what we think they couldn't or wouldn't do
You can see how strong and skilled both of them were. Especially coach Prime to be able to tackle Keyshawn by himself, when he was running thru tackles all day and still being able to cause a fumble while falling down . 6:30
Deion is an icon/legend... just saw video of him highstepping a kickoff to the endzone wearing a falcons uniform. Keyshawn for a short period of time especially on the always underperforming jets will be hall of fame in my eyes
Keyshawn was a great player I wish he stayed with the jets man I do think he is one of our best receivers of all time if not the best. I really wish he could have brought the jets to a Super Bowl
People in the comments talking about deion didnt tackle. When in the world did deion have alot of opportunities to tackle. The ball barely went in his direction smh. You can basically see that in this video
@@clayne10 just like how barry had no o-line. emmitt's line was recognized because dallas is a HUGE draw, and they were winning like a mofo. pro bowls tend to follow
Idk why i hear The ref blowing the whistle at 3:03 😂😂 saying this in his head with a hint of sassieness to add to the sarcasm he is pouring out with the look in his eyes all while those cheeks puffed to the max 😚🌬🌬😚 "Helloooo???!! Oh yall cant hear me?? Lets see if you can hear this !!!!"
I remember the week of the game Deion said to the media “He ain’t going nowhere, all I need to do is put my lawn chair at the 10 yards back and wait.” 😂
Watching Undisputed and KeyShawn described a play he made against Deion as he muffed him and was on his way into the end zone until Prime caught him. Unless this is an abridged version, I didn't see it.
1. This waa past Deion's prime. 2. He had weaknesses that could be exploited in general even in his prime: A. get between Deion and the ball. Then, catch it. Like Irvin used to do. B. motion schemes. C. outphysical Deion at the line of scrimmage. The bigger and stronger you were the better your chances of doing that. D. In addition to at least one of these, you needed an accurate enough QB to get you the ball and the trust of the coach/tandem(QB and WR). Sometimes, the coach or QB feared Deion or did not have enough confidence in the WR, so--despite the QB and WR fitting the bill--the WR received no targets(regardless of how open he got). Owens in 97 likely fit, but either Mariucci or Young was too afraid to go to him. He tossed Deion like a rag doll. In my opinion, they had the QB; the only thing Owens had to do was use his strength to outmuscle him and/or use his size to shield Deion from the ball; then, catch the ball(any carom in the air could wind up picked)
He was sneaky though. You see how he popped the ball out? That’s what he did. Like always he would make these arm motions quickly that would pop the ball out or he wouldn’t tackled the guy he would go straight for the ball
I never thought much of the Neon Peon because of his tackling abilities. Or, lack of. Like a 6'1" defensive vagina out there when it came to tackles. I forget who it was that literally carried her across the goal line for a TD. I will say that I admire the person he has become.
Deion didn’t travel much and it’s difficult to maintain the structure of your defense traveling around like that. Deion played mainly in the same side in Dallas and traveled in certain situations.
