Not everytime...but these 4 (in particular) banter amongst each other for well over a year now... and are growing as people first,...and their ideology is changing. As someone who has a degree in Early Childhood Education, our minds can only understand something by categorizing it. A baby sees a dog for the first time and categorizes it. Senior citizen white couple from podunk Florida...husbands education was the United States ARmy...my goal in life (back in the 70s when we graduated) was to be the BEST wife and mama ever. That was my goal and I exceeded. I was looked down upon by the same woman that called and asked me to pick up their sick child at school as they couldnt leave work, baby sit on school days off etc etc etc. My husband treats me like a queen...but I am able to do just about anything on my own...AND we know the difference between a male and a female (the ONLY two genders there are)

Love you guys - I grew up in a small town in Northern Michigan, which is primarily Republican/conservative. That said, my mom taught there for 35 years and she always said that even in that school district, most of the teachers there were liberals....she was one of the few teachers that were conservative. I think it's because of the Teachers Union

Listen man, seriously listen. TRUE STORY. When I was out of college (advertising/marketing) I found myself in a sales job working for a publishing company. My manager was named ED (black man) and a very successful salesman - he told me this about ensuring my odds to make a sale: "Be the doctor!!!!!!" Tell them where the pain is - then be ready with a Band-Aid (solution) to fix what ales them. And it worked like a charm! You fella's see this "salesmen ship" in them - they can't hide behind their plastic masks from you any longer.

For me (advertising and marketing) - I looked at industry trends, potentials of what could go wrong, how it could negatively effect my client - I showed where the pain is or could be, then prescribed what my company could do to fix or prevent. BUT first, I would have a set of probing open ended questions to ask - this is designed to get them speaking, so they will tell you where the company "pain" is, then you step in and prescribe the medicine to fix it like a good reliable doctor! Get them to identify the pain, if there isn't one, create one, then offer the medicine to fix the pain. But business is business, the pain is always going to revolve around money no matter what the issue is! Hope it helps!
