@@sabaton001 so he kinda was telling the Truth when he battled Frieza in resurrection of F and super that Frieza needed time to train his golden form. Even in death, Goku still needed time and energy to use it
I think Goku was just sitting there waiting to return to earth with his 1 day since it said "the day has finally come" the day he was going back to earth
like what Master Splinter once said "Tonight you have learned the final and greatest truth of the ninja that ultimate mastery comes not of the body but of the mind."
My guess is some time before the buu saga. Because if King Kai knew it would a massive SUCK of Goku's ki. Also, the fact Goku ignored that, it pretty much got me thinking "If you knew what it was doing, why use it?"
@@wardraven8755if he did then he would've used it against perfect cell. he couldnt achieve it because he already decided to leave it to gohan which took away the urgency needed to gain new power
@@exia7777 you guys are absolutely hard @sses 😂 he literally says “do not post this in the comments” in the first few minutes of the video. are you sure you watched it?
I would imagine Goku hit SSJ2 pretty quickly after he died since he got to experience what it was like being around Gohan he was probably very close at that time. Then he just kept pushing himself further and further and thanks to his body in the afterlife being a lot more durable, he went a lot further and also probably had a better environment to train in.
9:00 in the Cell saga after recovering from the heart virus, Goku decides to go above Super Saiyan. People forget that Vegeta was the first Saiyan to suggest that idea
Everyone keeps saying during his training…well duh but he’s trying to pinpoint when exactly he did it. I’d imagine shortly before coming back to life for a day. When exactly that is who knows
I don't know what it says in Manga but why is it that you don't site from the Anime that Vegeta is pissed at Goku because he hid his SS3 transformation and led him to think he could win. Vegeta heard about it in Otherworld so that means others actually saw it and wasn't only visual training
What I don't really get, and this might be a consecuense of the Saiyan transformations not being really thought out in advance, is if the Saiyan forms actually follow some kind of natural evolution, of if they made them up. For example Golden Frieza said that he choose that color, so he is kinda implaying that he can decide how his transformations are going to look. So I wonder if any Saiyan can reach a SSJ3 that looks like that, or if that's how it looks for Goku, and the other characters that turn into it just do it imitating Goku's transformation. Because at this point, with so many Saiyan forms, I feel they are not predefined forms, and I feel they don't have any cap, they can just keep going endlesly. The only form that looks consistent is the first one, and fron that onwards looks like Saiyan has the natural ability of go even further beyond, but not in a biological way but rather a more mystical and customizable way. Like Gohan reached Beast, which is an unique form only he has, and as far as I know he never reached SSJ3. Broly also looks different. So maybe the Sayan's power is get a boost, and how that boost manifest depends of each one.
I got a feeling that he achieved it a few years before or within a year of the Buu saga. First he says he hasn’t had a lot of practice with it. Then later he says it was a piece of cake when he was dead in otherworld. Goku had some experience with it, but not enough to know the ends and outs of the form in a living body. Why he chose to pursue going further beyond ss2 is the real question? I like to think that he wanted to fight Gohan as an adult when it came time for his one day on earth, and he’d need some extreme power to be able to hold out against him….That is if he kept up his training. I take it , When did Gotenks achieve Ss3 is next right?
16:40 in other world fighting kid boo, vegeta tells goku that he was aware of his ss3 transformation and that their fight was a joke since he could've done that the whole time.
I have long suspected that SSJ3 was a very recent development for Goku before the Buu Saga. He was not aware of its weakness in stamina and that could be either chalked up to him doing with a dead body or that it's he didn't have time to fully handle it. That and typically from what I have seen, initial transformations take the longest, the most dramatic when the character hasn't truly mastered it or hasn't used it in a while. Look at how long and effort it took someone like Goku or Vegeta to go SSJ in Android saga versus other times where it's like a light switch. Or SSJ2 Gohan. SSJ3 has this great power up sequence for Goku. Maybe you are right in that he never actually has done it yet and it was something he just discovered during his medications.
I originally though Goku went super Saiyan 2 against cell before gohan did. I was a kid and when Goku was powering up at least in the anime there is some lightning around Goku for a tiny bit.
Seeing how Gohan quickly achieved super Saiyan (less than a year in the chamber) so there's no reason that goku can't achieve ssj2 and ssj3 in a relative amount of time.
Goku might used this transformation in the otherworld, kaiosama being aware of what's goku is doing and even vegeta noticed in the fight with yakon that goku surpassed him again even do Vegeta it's at his peak The question i have is why didn't Vegeta archive ssj3 after the fusion with goku whe they were the same mind and body he might be able to understand what it takes to do so
Goku probably achieve super 2 year after fighting cell sense he had Gohan power level to compare it to. And remember in the afterlife the body is more durable 🧐💯
My guess would be shortly before the Buu arc. Goku acknowledges he hasn't had much time to practice this form which is why transforming took so much longer than the others. This is probably the first time he was transformed into super saiyan 3 of his own will.
No he only took that long to transform because he was trying to stall buu. We know this because in one of the scenes goku in a panic swiftly turned ssj3 to dodge super buu's attack with a backflip
Impossible to determine since he died and in the seven years between his death and return, he achieved SSJ2 and SSJ3. Considering his relative mastery over the transformation (not to be confused with mastery over the form itself), he likely achieved it within the last few months to year and was a form which he perhaps stumbled upon once he realized that as a ghost, he could simply keep expanding his ki, and in doing so, he simply went SSJ2 and exploded his ki until he achieved it. However, because he never once stopped to think it over, as Goku seldom does, he failed to realize that his mortal body would hardly sustain the form in the Buu saga. As Freeza demonstrated himself, being dead is a good opportunity to train and maximize one’s own powers.
This theory explains why the transformation took so long against fat buu compared to his buuhan and kid buu fights. It was the very first time he actually physically transformed to ssj3.
Psh he hit it back in cell saga hyperbolic time chamber. Well he hit it in his mind. Manifesting the idea that there are levels beyond supersayain. And that’s. Where it first starts. The idea. 💡
U might be on the right track that the first time he actually did it was right in front of Buu. If King Kai and the Supreme Kai can sense Goku's power while transforming to Super Saiyan 3 on Earth while they are in other realms, then I can't see why someone who is so proficient in Ki Control like Piccolo wouldn't be able to sense Goku using Super Saiyan 3 in Other World.
In the Dub when Vegeta is brought back as an Angel, he tells Goku that he knows all about his SSj3 Transformation after being told about it from People in Other World. To me, in order for people in Other World to have known about SSj3, Goku must have 1st done it there in Other World before it does so on Earth.
Was Goku a Super Saiyan during while Gotan was being created? Or did he knock her up right after he got healed from the heart virus but before he went to tell Vegeta about the Time Chamber.
But shouldn't Piccolo also unlock some form because he meditates as much and as long as he can? His main focus is like mental training and image training. All that meditation in Dragon Ball Z and he didn't unlock anything (apart when Piccolo fuses with Kami and Nail).
Piccolo wasn't really a "form" guy until Super Hero. He just gains raw power and techniques. So he does gain things from meditation, but it's less obvious.
Goku surpised everyone with Super Saiyan 3 AND with the concept of fusion with the fusion dance. The fusion dance technique was originated on a planet called Metamor and was preformed by the Metamorans. Goku must have had to cinfront two Metamorans that used the dance to fuse into one powerful entity which was so powerful that Goku had to discover Super Saiyan 3 to beat the fused Metamoran. It is similar to how later in in Dragon Ball Super, the two universe 6 Saiyans Kale & Caulifla fused into Kefla, who was so powerful that Goku had to be pushed into Autonomous Ultra Instinct Sign to defeat the fused female Saiyan
I don’t think Vegeta ever actually went grade 3. Even Goku only did it to show Gohan. And Vegeta had no one to show because he didn’t train that way with trunks. I’m pretty sure Vegeta went grade 2, realised he could go further and its drawbacks, so never felt the need to turn grade 3. So more accurately, Vegeta could use the grade 3 form if he tried. But I don’t think he ever achieved it
Do S-Cells have anything to do with Gohan's ultimate form and beast form? Like does gohans S-Cells play a different role with his human DNA that pushes his power through his physical and mental human side instead of the usual super Saiyan from his Saiyan DNA?
it was after majin vegeta vs goku. one day Toriyama thought, hmmm iam gonna give Goku a new form to stop buu in the scene/chapter whereas with Gohan ss2 and Goku ss1 , it feels that he actually plan it even do we think he never plans nothing, but it smells that ssj1 and ssj2 was indeed plan. maybe he didnt know how or when or the design of it.
If ssj2 goku was stronger than gohan in the cell saga and regular ssj2 vegeta needed the Majin boost to be EQUAL to goku then how does vegeta compare to super perfect cell?
I would assume the other world has the same effect as the Hyperbolic Time Chamber since time doesn’t exist there. So the Cell explosion plus training with otherworld warriors should’ve pushed him to Super Saiyan 2 relatively easy, and Super Saiyan 3? Goku probably tried to push his dead body to its absolute limit and stumbled upon the form.
Goku has very little training in the form because he acheived it and had no point in training in it. He surpassed cell and then nobody stronger so why train in it
I don't believe that Vegeta had any higher transformation when he fought Cell because if he had then he would have used it when he saw that Cell was better than him Vegeta is Not Goku
Vegeta was only super Saiyan in cell games . He was still weaker than Goku but not by a miles. He was able to stagger super perfect cell with his energy blast. Ascended super Saiyan couldn't do shit against perfect cell
