Benny Lee was a Chicago street legend and a living example of how anything is possible. I did 10+ years in the Illinois DOC so I know very well the life he speaks about and what it takes to put life back together, positively.
Every time I hear this story it gives me power in every aspect to do my best. This is probably one of most influential person I was following up behind. That was a moment in life to have within me to be getting study and advice from this man. Very humble and keep it 💯. Thank you Benny for giving me the opportunity to be apart of what you started and still strive for.
The right begins the moment individuals recognize just how powerful their voice, will for betterment, and existence is! What an amazing story of resiliency and triumph. I feel extremely empowered!
I am constantly empowered when I hear people like yourself take to heart success stories. Stay empowered, move on your empowerment and get involved with the struggle.
Horrifying. He is fortunate to be alive. Intelligent beyond measure. “ Folded him up like a napkin.” Defending himself but mass incarcerated and ill prepared to enter society again and again. Fantastic narrative. Thrilled when he told the judge the truth on a lie about being a drug addict to get some help. What. This brother tells the absolute truth about how to grow a gangster. So happy he is now a citizen. A mercy!
As a guy with no criminal background or esperience of any sort,I feel moved by this wonderful story,I see my future brighter after this talk. If a person like him found a way through the Scary Job World, why not me! I need more stories like this
I love Benny and when brothers like him speak I listen. Idc what the topic is my mouth is closed. So much knowledge and wisdom. I’m grateful I was afforded the opportunity to meet Benny. More blessings and life to you Mr Benneth Lee. 🙌🏾
Interesting....once being a produce of mass incarceration , I personally understand this struggle! True, I placed myself in a that particular situation however it was a blessing...i found my inner man!!
There is a need to charge the politicians responsible for post incarceration human rights abuses with crimes against humanity. They should also be made financially liable for civil damages claims from former prisoners subject to these imposed disabilities. A national compensation scheme needs to be established.
If you were meant to shine it won’t matter how many times you’ve been incarcerated you’ll just continue to be living proof that there is a such thing as grace from above.
Great talk . Inspiring . Ordinary people stand for the injustice done. They are either used, abused or killed and then. Society dictates as power reside in people with vested interests. Thank you, bless you . All your dreams come true.
